Crawford Livestock hosts the Legend Buttes Catalog Sale annually, We are happy to offer the 4th Legend Buttes Catalog Sale that accommodates buyers and sellers whether they join us in-person or online to view, bid and buy! Animals must be purchased with cash or credit card where a 3% processing fee will apply. Online bidders and customers writing a check must be pre-approved by June 23rd. No approvals will be made on Friday. Pre-approval for cattleusa online bidding method requires letter from banker stating fund amount allotted or line of credit. Proxibid bidders will complete the standard Proxibid login. (ATM locations in Crawford are: Tailgate Bar & Grill, The Corner Bar, Saddle Rock One Stop and Security First Bank. 2. Dusty is as pretty as a penny. He is a stout well-built sorrel who stands 15.2 hands. He is grade, but he is gentle for anyone and a tremendous ranch horse. He has a ground covering walk that will get you where you need to go, but he is not hot or excitable. He rides out alone or in a group. He has also been started on ranch work, gathering and sorting cattle. He stands 15.2 hands. He is good on the ground, good to shoe and he loads in the trailer well and stands tied. He has lots of show miles. He originated from the breeder and has not been passed around. Affectionately known as “Earl”, he’s been an integral part of many ranch jobs including gathering, sorting cattle, branding, pairing out, calving and trailing cattle. He has a comfortable, ground covering walk, trot and lope that’s well suited for any experienced rider who needs to get the job done or even head out on a trail ride. One of Earls greatest attributes is he is very sure-footed when traveling in steep terrain, over logs, across water even in snow mud and ice. This winter, Earl wore sharp shoes, but at time of consignment he is barefoot for spring. Earl doesn’t require Spurs as he is responsive to subtle leg cues as well as being soft in the bridle. Maria-10 y/o Mare

Maria is a sweet little mare that has been used mainly on the ranch. She has a smooth, long-strided walk and trot. She is easy to catch and load and she is kind and quiet. She has drug calves in the branding pen, gathered yearlings, been exhibitioned on the barrels. She has been heeled on in the practice pen and has been at a walk and trot through the pole pattern. She also had her first (and only) colt a year ago and was a fantastic mom. She is sweet and kind, but hasnt been ridden much in the past two years. She hasn't spent a lot of time at a lope and she occasionally will walk forward while being saddled. Both of my kids do ride her both saddled and bareback, but she doesn't have the experience to be a true "kids" horse at this time. 2008 Red Roan Mare -- Babe is a 13.2 hand Quarter Pony. She is as sweet as a strawberry with that lovely strawberry roan color. She has a great handle and is soft in the face. She neck reins on a loose rein and moves off your leg. She has a good stop on "whoa" and turnaround. She has been used in 4H and Playdays as well as on the ranch. While she is capable of a lot and very broke, she is best suited for an intermediate rider who can effectively use voice and leg cues. She can be a bit buddy sour, but is not dangerous, spooky or ornery. "Gifted with Gold" is a stunning golden palomino mare. She is 15.1 hands with amble bone and balance that makes her great to look at. She is very gentle, but is a broodmare. She did have a start under saddle with previous owner and is sound, but has been a broodmare for the last decade, where she raises nice foals with ease. She is easy to catch and handle, but is NOT being represented as a riding horse. She has foundation bloodlines that will cross well on nearly any horse. She was not exposed last year or this year due to the passing of a family member. It is due to no fault of her own and she has many foals left in her. Buy her and turn her out with a stud or wait until next year to get her on an early cycle. She will be an asset to anyone's breeding program! Her Sire was a grulla, which means she has at least 1 non-dominant agouti, meaning she can produce nearly any color depending on what stallion you breed her to. Her Sire goes back to RBM Duster told who was an AQHA Champion and had a superior in cutting. He had his AQHA Register of Merit and earned 80.5 AQHA Performance points and 25 Halter points. Her dam goes back to Jet Smooth who was one of the leading sons of Jet Deck who was a AAA+ stallion with a speed index of 100.
