Walt Disney's DuckTales was the first daily animated cartoon show to air weekdays on the Disney Afternoon. DuckTales debuted in 1988. The 1988 - 1989 season consisted of 65 episodes. The next season (1989 - 1990) included an additional 35 episodes, totaling 100. DuckTales is an extremely unique and original cartoon. Episodes such as "Sweet Duck of Youth," "Dr Jekyll and Mr. McDuck," "The Golden Fleecing" and many more play off of legends, literature, and actual historic events. Kite Cigarette Tobacco Vintage Lithograph Sign Rare

This sign was made for Kite Mentholated Cigarette Tobacco. The image features a great image of the carton entangled by the kite string of their logo kite, flying up above. The lithography was done by Allied Printing of New York. The colors are light green, olive green, slate blue, and dark blue. The print size is 18" x 12". The condition is good, except for some slight staining on the kite image, and on the letter K, plus some slight crease marks. There is a Union stamp with number 54, and #685. We don't know the age of this sign. It appears to show aging, and therefore we believe it to be an original and not a reproduction. The sheet is on dark blue paper backing. The black painted wood frame has a few light nicks. Its size is 16" x 22". You won't see this Kite sign very often, so let those bids start soaring!

2 Vintage Metal Beer Tankards: Hamms Tiger, Playboy

These two beer tankards both are pewter tone metal, with clear plastic bottoms- to give you an extra view while you drink. The Hamm's has there logo on one side, and a funny tiger drinking from a hose on the other side.  The words are a take-off on the popular gasoline slogan "Put a Tiger in your tank."  We have not seen this tankard before.  It is 5½" tall by 3½" in diameter at the opening. The other is a classic Playboy tankard, 5" tall, and 3" in diameter. Both are in good condition, with normal use wear. They should clean up fine. These will make a great addition to your bar or barware collection.

Here are 4 vintage beer coolers from Goebel beer, all in the original shipping box. These are New Old Stock, never used, in excellent condition, with a copyright date of 1959. Each little cooler, called a "Goe-Pak," is insulated rubber material with latching lid. They come in two different colors, each with logo on the sides, and bantam rooster on the front. They are each 9" x 6 1/2" x 8", and are designed to carry a 6-pack. These coolers will be great to display along with your vintage Goebel beer cans.

This Heritage Jersey Plaque, titled "Single Focused," portrays the history of Buffalo Bills uniforms from 1960 to 2000. This print on board is 10" x 30". It is from original watercolor paintings by Tino Paolini, done with great detail and accuracy. It is in very good condition, with a few scuff marks, and edge wear. For some Bills fans this picture will be a good history lesson, and for others it will bring fond memories.

Own these eight priceless, vintage Life Magazines from 1950's and 1960's (one is from 1946).  The magazine offers a daily variety of ads and news that reflect upon the day-to-day living of that time.  Themes include transportation, food/drink, appliances, cigarettes, war, grooming items, etc.  There is an array of historic information from the end of WWII up to the Kennedy assasination.  All eight magazines are 10x13 and range from fair to very good condition.  The covers have wear, tears, rips, and separation.  All of the pages are intact except there are some pages that have been cut out in the Oct. 2, 1964 edition.   A great and unique piece that can be framed and fill that empty spot on your wall or mantle piece.

Henry Herbert Carr, often called "The Farmer's Friend," popularized direct consignment from farmers in 1884. He was also a popular "old-school" Republican during this time, and is given credit for helping create Chicago's organization of wards and precincts. We present here a sign advertising H. H. Carr & Co.'s grain redistribution services. Printed on lightweight cardboard, it rests inside a wood frame. Measuring 28 " x 8 ", this classic sign has both agricultural and political significance!

Warner & Beers Atlas of Henry Co. State of Illinois

This is a Warner and Beers Atlas of Henry County and the State of Illinois.  It was originally published in 1875 in Chicago by the Lakeside building Cor: of Clarke and Adams Street.  This atlas is a re-print from 1976.  Inside the atlas are several detailed town maps and historic photos of the Illinois' county lines in 1875.  There is over 130 pages of rich Illinois history, an explanation of their government, and a general description of the state up until 1875.  The atlas is in excellent condition and measures out to be 11 1/2 x 14".   A great addition to any historical Illinois memorabilia collection. 

Cassa Ferris Wheel Vintage Wind-Up Tin Litho Toy-German

This is a vintage wind-up Ferris wheel toy, made of tin metal and colorfully lithoed. The maker is not known, but it was made in West Germany. The key wind mechanism winds up fine, and a spinning arm makes the bell ring. The gears work, but the axle piece seems to be a little loose. The wheel has turned when we've wound it up all the way, and then it slows down and stops, while the bell still rings. The mechanism might require some tinkering. The detailed litho images include clown on front, a ticket taker in a window with sign marked CASSA (possibly the maker?), and 6 riders, of 3 different kinds. The colors include red, yellow, blue, green, black and white. Light surface spotting and rusting covers most of the piece, as is shown in the photos. This is fairly normal for a toy of this age, which we believe to be 50 years old or more. We have not attemped to clean this up. The base measures 4 1/2" square, and the total height up to the bar across the top is 9 1/2". This wonderful Ferris wheel toy captures the fun of the early amusement parks.

California Pottery Serving Plate Flower Ceramic Dish

This is a 14" diameter ceramic serving dish with abstract flower petal design. It is marked: on the underside with the following "CALIF. U.S.A., No 685". It dates back 25 years or more. There are a couple chips on the beaded circular border near the center, but these aren't very noticeable. It is otherwise in very good condition. This will make a nice bowl for dips and snacks.

Arcade Fageol Bus Vintage Cast Iron Toy, 6 In., 1930s

This is a vintage cast iron 6" Fageol Bus, and although no maker name is marked we believe it is from the Arcade Mfg. Co. It is in good condition, with some aging and paint wear. The surface has about 75% of its green paint on the body and wheels. This might have painted over red paint which can be seen in portions underneath, and on the underside. There is no real rusting. The axles are nail head style, and the wheels are all metal. It dates from around the 1930's. This is a nice smaller cast iron vintage bus.

This mirror sign is from a beer you don't see very often, unless you're in Denmark, where it's from. This is Tuborg Gold Label, and the logo features gold, red, white and green, on a mirror surface. The frame is dark green painted wood, 23 1/2" x 29 1/2". It is in new condition. This is a terrific beer sign for anyone who enjoys Danish beer.

This vintage VW 1200 friction car was made in Japan, probably in the 1960's. It is very good condition overall, except for one problem. The undercarriage has been dented by the left rear wheel. This could be repaired, however, by prying it back up into position. The exterior is a very nice cream color, and the underside is black. It has chrome metal hubcaps, headlights, windshield frame, bumpers, and VW logo. The interior is red and white, with nice lithoed details. The wheels are white metal, with unusually bold black VW logos. The tires are rubber. Its length is 7 1/4". This is a great friction car for any toy VW Beetle collector.

This is an original production animation cel from the Disney TV show Ducktales.  Walt Disney's DuckTales was the first daily animated cartoon show to air weekdays on the Disney Afternoon. DuckTales debuted in 1988. The 1988 - 1989 season consisted of 65 episodes. The next season (1989 - 1990) included an additional 35 episodes, totaling 100. DuckTales is an extremely unique and original cartoon. Episodes such as "Sweet Duck of Youth," "Dr Jekyll and Mr. McDuck," "The Golden Fleecing" and many more play off of legends, literature, and actual historic events. This vintage Schlitz sign proudly displays their slogan "The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous." The sign is designed to light up, but it is not working. The rubber coating on the power cord is a little worn. The rest of the sign looks fine, with Schlitz name in white on golden beer colored plastic (just imagine this glowing). It is framed in gold tone, plastic in front with metal back. The base is clear Lucite, with two rubber pads on the front edge, and two nuts on back. This was apparently made to affix to the top of a bar or tapper. The base is also marked with the Schlitz Brewing Company name. The sign measures 8" x 9". This is a great little vintage Schlitz sign, evocative of the sparkling color of that famous beer.

Victor brought a 3 Ring Circus to this prize vending machine set. These 3 separate vending machines rest on a base with a fabulous circus image. Each machine originally had 3 dimensional circus scenes in each, and a child could choose which circus act they were most excited by. Whatever was inside was taken out long ago, but if you can discover the items that belong there you can rebuild the circus. Each measures 10" wide x 11" x 25". The first two which take dimes are in working condition, but the third, which takes quarters, is not. No toys are included. The first one has some old pieces of foam inside. The fronts of the machines are brass and silver tone metal with raised lettering. The glass has green decorations, and a gold and green price label. The front image is in yellow, red, gray, brown and black, and has some light crazing and wear. Big playful circus animals are pictured, including a tight-rope walking lion. The great Victor name waves on a flag atop the circus tent in the background. The base is also wood, with groove joints, and measures 32" x 12" x 18". When all set up with machines on top, it will be 43" high. The wood is in good condition overall, with no bad staining or warping. The quarter machine has some cracking on the right side. The glass panel with the price is loose fitting because the wood around the opening is worn. The inside back of the front panel shows some staining. The Hard Pack is back! Here is Joe Camel and his Camel cronies on a lighted sign with LED motion lights. This sign was made for dealers only. It has a plastic front with raised images, all glowing from the florescent lights inside. The LED motion randomly shifts from sweep, to scroll, to split, and the display reads: "CAMEL / BUY A / HARD PACK / TODAY!" This sign is in excellent and working condition. There are a few spots of color wear near the top. It is missing a screw on the top hole, but it holds together fine, and a replacement could be found. The size of the sign is 20" x 31" x 5". The back has rope for hanging. It was produced in 1991, at the height of Joe Camel's fame, and the beginning of his controversy. This is a vibrant piece of Camel advertising history!

This is a vintage F-84 Thunderjet remote control plane. It has not been tested, but it is in very good condition and comes in the original box. The controller is missing its back side, and it has some paint on it. The plane itself is very good, with only a spot of paint on the back left wing, and front right wing. It is 10 1/2" long, in Navy blue and yellow plastic, with rubber front wheels. The manufacturer was Wilson's of Cleveland, and it is marked on the underside of the hull. The 10 1/2" square box is nice, because the back folds up for a display, so one plane could be shown in the store where is was sold. The box does have wear, tears, and a stain on front, but still will display nicely with its fine graphics, and close-up of the electric motor. If you'd want more space on your table, you could put a larger piece of glass on the flat surface, and it would certainly be sturdy enough to hold it. This goose would also do well by itself by the front door as an occasional table, or even a seat. Children might enjoy going for goose rides. Yes, ceramic gooses have many uses. This one has crazing on the glaze, and a few light chips, plus it needs to be cleaned. Otherwise it is in very good condtion. It is hollow inside. It was made in Italy, as stamped on the inside. Here are 3 maps from the pages of an old Family Bible. We believe these date back to the turn of the last century. Each image is an etching on a 9" x 15" sheet, with varying plate sizes. The maps portrayed are as follows: The Garden of Eden and Mount Ararat where the Ark rested, The "Antient" City of Jerusalem, and the Land of Canaan. These etchings have beautiful detail. Their condition is good overall, with some creases and light tears near the corners that could be matted out. With proper framing these will look quite good. There is considerable interest in old Family Bibles, etchings, and old maps. These maps will be very nice for any collectors.

Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior Figure in Box '78

This is the Colonial Warrior 11 1/2" Action Figure from the original Battlestar Galactica series. He comes in the original box, which has some crease marks, but is otherwise all intact and fine for display. The figure itself has the laser pistol, but does not have the extended laser part. However, without the laser part the gun becomes a scanner, and that works fine, flashing yellow while the backpack button is pressed. A replacement laser part could probably be made. It uses two AA batteries (not included). The right shoulder of the tunic has a slight smudge stain, but it makes it appear as if he were in battle, right? This is a great figure, ready for any classic Battlestar Galactica fan.

Zenith made this tube-type table radio in the early 1950's, during a time when many companies were turning away from wood cabinets to make more cost effective plastic radios. It is a model K731, running on 35 watts, in chassis design 7M07 with natural bamboo weave grill cover, legs. This model was also offered in another more traditional design without legs. It features full AM/FM tuning, and AFC. Most of the original schematic label is still pasted to the underside. Patent dates include 1946, 49, 50, 51. The radio operates, but is has a heavy humming, so it might need a tube replaced. Otherwise it is in very good condition, with no bad scratches or damage. The woven cover has a few frayed spots near the bottom, but otherwise it is good and clean. The dimensions are: 8" x 10 1/2" x 16". This is a very attractive post war era Zenith, with FM making it perfect for listening to all your favorite stations.

Clarke's Rye Antique Advertising Turn of Century Plate

The fascinating pre-Prohibition transferware plate advertising Clarke's Pure Rye — Bottled By The Government shows us a rather dissolute fellow, looking like he needs a shave and appearing to be in a state of inebriation. The plate shows crazing overall, front and back, and has been drilled on the back (not drilled through, drilled through the platform only) so it can be strung with a wire and hung on a wall. It's also stained and has patches of discoloration. The decal, however, is bright and fresh, shows no loss of design or color and overall looks very good indeed. The plate is 10½ inches in diameter, has a wide gold band on the outside rim and a much narrower band inside of that. The decal is sepia and the letters are brown. The initials C.P.C.R. topped by a crown appear on the back, stamped in blue. The phrase "Bottled by the Government" interested us enough to look further. According to one online glossary, the phrase refers to "Bottled in Bond Whiskey" and is described as: "Straight whiskey, usually bourbon or rye, produced under government control and supervision. Bonded whiskey must be at least four years old, bottled at 100 proof and produced in one distilling by the same distiller. It must be sorted and bottled at a bonding warehouse under government supervision." Or, "Bottled by the Government." A very collectible pre-Prohibition item — possibly late 19th century, certainly before 1920 — that will display beautifully! This is a genuine / original indoor or outdoor banner produced to promote winter tourism in Chicago, Illinois. This large vinyl banner was made especially for display in the city of Chicago. The banner is about 6 feet 5 inches tall, and 2 feet 6 inches wide. It is double sided, with identical image on each side. The rolled portion at the top was made for a pole, and the metal grommets are for ropes to keep it tied down from the wind. For display indoors, you could use a long rod, or wires or ropes. It was made for display only, not for sale to the public, and it was only acquired through a special auction hosted by the city. It was originally hanging up somewhere around Chicago. There is some general light wear from use, but overall its condition is very good and it still has that new vinyl smell. Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley has earned a national reputation for his innovative, community-based programs to address education, public safety, neighborhood development and other challenges facing American cities. Time magazine, in its April 25, 2005 issue, said Daley "is widely viewed as the nation's top urban executive." Kundo K&O Electronic Pendulum German Shelf Clock

This Kundo shelf clock was made in Germany by Kieninger & Obergfelt, probably in the 1960's. It was running fine when tested. It operates on a single C cell battery, not included. It has an open, modern appearance, with movement all showing through the glass sided case. The face is essentially a brushed silver ring with gold tone applied numerals. The movement is gold tone. The glass support is marked Kundo Electronic. The case is a dark brass tone, and the four feet are adjustable. From the base it measures 5" x 7½" x 9¼" tall to the top of the handle. This mantel clock has a classy yet modern appeal.

The show follows two characters - Ren, a crazy Chihuahua - and - Stimpy, an incredibly stupid cat - as they think up to all kinds of hair brained schemes and get themselves into some sticky situations. The Ren and Stimpy Show debuted in August 1991 with a two-part episode, 'Stimpy's Big Day / The Big Shot' and became an instant hit. Antique 1877 Insurance Critic Chicago January - October

Here is a great lot of nine Insurance Critic journals from 1877 in Chicago.  This journal was establihed in 1874.  These journals give a very detailed look on banking, the insurance industry, and financial institutions from 1877.  Each journal is filled with abundant amount of information (articles) on how to run a bank, a financial institution, and/or an industrial industry.  It is also full of decorative advertisements on each business.    An interesting note is that in 1877, Saving Deposits and Trust funds had an interest rate of 6%, in today's society it's about 2%.   In 1877, banks would operate from 10 am- 3 pm on weekdays and would be opened from 6 pm- 8 pm on Saturdays.  This is an excellent lot for those historians who are interested in how banking, insurance, and financial institutions have changed over the years.

Its age is not known. The color is a rose, or mauve. The Haeger label is at the bottom edge, and the underside has another name from a company that produces silk flowers. This will look lovely with a large bunch of flowers, or by itself.

Gardner Close-A-Door Hardware Store Display Sign

This is a working store display for Gardner "Close-A-Door" hinges, designed for doors and screen doors. The orange decal shows some wear, but it still has plenty of charm. Hold onto the two handles, and you can pull the wood blocks apart, which simulate a door opening. It operates perfectly. The overall size is 4" x 9", and 3" tall at the handles. The age is not known, but it looks to be from around the late 1940's. We have not seen this display anywhere else, so it may be one of few to survive. That makes it a terrific addition to any store collection.

Mobilgas Mobil Station Tin Vintage Advertising Sign

This Mobilgas sign has the familiar name in dark blue, and the famous red flying horse. The reproduction vintage sign was made by Phoenix Sign. It is sheet metal with raised lettering and image, with holes in the corners for hanging. The size is 18" x 30". Its condition is excellent, with a couple tiny scratch marks. This is a terrific sign for your garage, or among your car memorabilia.

Offered here is an unusual framed map of the world. The date at the top of this reproduction map is 1626. The map shows the world's continents as well as strange designations such as "The Eclipse of the Moon", "Heaven's Elements" and "The Eclipse of the Sun". The map was produced with metallic coloring, which gives it a shiny, decorative appearance. The map itself measures 12 inches x 16 inches. It comes with a mat and frame giving the piece an overall measurement of 19.5 inches x 24 inches. The map is in good condition with some slight buckling. The frame is also in good condition with normal wear. Great for map lovers!

Space Bank Vintage Satellite Ceramic,Fred Roberts Japan

This is the Space Bank, a futuristic satellite-like object from Fred Roberts Company of San Francisco. It was made in Japan, probably during the early space program of the 1960's. The bank is ceramic, glazed dark brown, and spray painted in cosmic silver, with gold lettering and details, light blue base, and little yellow stars. The original blue and gold maker label is underneath. No stopper is included, but a replacement could easily be found. The bank is 5" tall, and the globe is about 4" in diameter. There is some light paint wear on top, but no chips or cracks. The Space Bank is truly one cosmic coin keeper!

Here is a very nice variety of seven family portraits.  All of the them were taken around the early twentieth century.  Some are just family photos and others are family photos taken for some sort of special occasion.  The sizes of the photographs range from 3 1/4 x 5 1/4" to 4 3/4 x 6".  The conditions range from fair to very good.  Most are in black and white, one has some color in it, and five of them are cabinet cards.  All the photos were taken in various Chicago studios.  Two of the photos are faded, a couple with smudges/wear, and some are bulging.  A great addition to those empty pages in your photo album.

HUGE Budweiser Beer Store Price Sign Clock 4 Color

This large Budweiser beer price sign once hung behind the counter of a liquor store, or possibly a roadside shop. It is in good condition, and needs a cleaning. The overhead light is working, but the clock is not working or lighting. Pull the chain, and the fluorescent bulb will illuminate the Budweiser logo and the price list. The logo is in white, red, silver, and blue. The price list has thin plastic beer name inserts that can slide out, and the numbers are on little wheels that can be turned directly. The inside casing of this sign is white metal, and the outside is plastic. The front has a wood grain pattern, and barley decorations in raised relief. There are two hooks at the top for hanging. The label at the top identifies the piece as: A & Eagle Showcase Modular Item No. 802-219. It was made by Everbrite Electric Signs of South Milwaukee, and it appears to be an older model. It measures 52" x 16" x 7". This great sign will transform your home or business into a vintage liquor store.

Titanic Newspaper Historic Reprint Chicago Tribune Frmd

This reprinted copy of the front page of the Chicago Daily Tribune tells the news of the Titanic disaster, along with some updated information about passengers who survived. This paper is an Extra edition, which came out Tuesday, April 16, 1912. All of the 14" x 20" sheet is devoted to the Titanic. The 15½" x 22" brown wood frame has light nicks. Overall this piece is in very good condition, with a natural looking sepia tone. This framed newspaper is a fascinating bit of Titanic history.

1917 Reprint Blue-Print of GREATER CHICAGO Subdivision

This is a wonderful piece you can't pass up on.  Offered here is a 1917 reprint of a South Suburban subdivision in the Chicagoland area.  The blueprint was created by Frederick/H. Bartlett for the "Greater Chicago" Subdivision.  The Subdivision stretches from Indiana and E. 103rd to Cottage Grove and E. 109th.  In front of Cottage Grove is the Illinois Central Railroad tracks.  The blueprint is dated March 24, 1917.  It is 25 x 30" and in very good condition.  The blue-print has been folded and shows wear.  Some of creases from the folding have caused minor rips in the blue-print.  There are some small rips and tears along the edges.    *The item you will receive will look ever so slightly different from that in the photo.

Chicago Riverview Amusement Park Milk Bottles

These three milk bottles were used in one of the carnival games at Riverview. They probably date from the 1950's or 60's, when Chicago's amusement park was in full swing. If you wanted a chance to win a prize, you'd have to throw a baseball to knock down the bottles, which was quite a challenge, since these bottles were weighted. Each "milk" bottle is not your typical glass bottle. These were especially made for the game out of very heavy metal, by JG Supply. They are 7½" tall, with flared bottom 3¼" in diameter. They are in very good condition, considering their use, and most of the silver paint is intact. These will be great for a amusement park fan, bottle collector, or any Chicago resident who remembers Riverview.

Big Genuine Steer Horns Mounted Western Decoration

This is a big pair of horns from a steer. We don't know what breed these are from, but they are gray and white in tone, and measure about 4 feet wide. The center is wrapped in snakeskin pattern leather, with jute rope, and rawhide leather with rivets. It is mounded on a wood, that probably was the woodwork from somebody's house, and it's a uneven, with some splitting. It is still sturdy, and its unfinished look just adds to the rustic appearance. The horns are in very good condition, with some scratches, and a chip on one of the tips. This is a terrific set of horns, perfect for your ranch, or your Western theme in your home, even on your pickup truck. Wherever you put them, they'll definitely make an impression!

This is a set of 4 Hasko de Luxe Lap Trays, all in Near Mint condition in the original box. One tray has a few spots of surface wear, but otherwise they look unused. The box does show some light wear and denting, but it still looks great. We've never seen a box for Hasko trays, and there's a nice little description on back. Each tray has a colorful lithographed floral design of fine detail, on simulated wood grain paper covering. Each tray is 16" x 7 1/2". THERE IS A WOOD GRIP WITH 2 RIVETS AND NO SCABBARD. THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE BLADE IS 34 1/2". THE SWORD IS IN GOOD CONDITION. IT SHOWS AGING, WEAR AND RUST.

ORIGINAL STOOKIE ALLEN -THE BEER BRIDGE OVER THE RHINE

This is an outstanding original Lt. Ben D. "Stookie" Allen graphite art drawing.  It is a amazing graphite drawing from WWII entitled: "The Beer Bridge."  This bridge was the longest bridge ever made in the fastest period of time.  General Lawton E. Collins bought beer for 600 men because they were able to complete the bridge in ten hours.  The bridge was 1308 feet long and mounted on 107 floats.  It was built by the 1106th Engineer Combat Group headed out by Colonel R. Erlenkotter (Commander).  The bridge was built in Bonn Germany crossing the Rhine River.  This piece was beautifully drawn, with the central art piece of the bridge and side scenarios of events by Lt. Stookie Allen of the 1106th.  Lt. Stookie Allen is world renown comic book artist and most known for his WWII European Theatre artwork.  In the foreground is a sign that reads: "The Beer Bridge - Shortest Route to the C.B.I.".  It is in a 19 1/2 x 26 1/2" wooden frame.  There is a hanging wire in the back ready for your room or office.  This is a one of a kind, original piece.  It is very good condition.
