1957 Ford Fairlane 500 1957 Ford Fairlane 500

1957 Ford Fairlane 500

Lot #11 (Sale Order 10 of 74)

1957 Ford Fairlane 500 VIN: D7PV115708 Post World War II Ford cars were known for their tall and imposing stance up through the early 1950s and the "Shoebox" Fords. The next generation of Ford cars, including the popular Crown Victoria line were highly regarded and remain a popular collector car. The mainstream Ford line of cars grew substantially larger for 1957, and the new chassis allowed the floor to be placed much lower. This, in turn, led to a lower and longer look overall. The 1957 models were unmistakable with their long flanks and tailfins and the Fairlane 500 became the Top-Line car in the Ford Passenger car offerings. The 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 presented at auction underwent a body restoration in the early 2000s and shows consistent with the car being enjoyed as a driver. Under current ownership since 2014, the car received extensive chassis work to include brakes steering, suspension and more. The result is a more reliable car when enjoying the car on the road. The car features the following: - 292 V8, 212 Hoorsepower - New Holly 650cfm 4bbl carburetor - Automatic Transmission - Power Windows - Beautiful 4 Door Hardtop - Lights refurbished to working order - "Poor Mans Anti-theft" kill switch The seller does report that the electric windows operate off of a toggle switch under the dash and the radio does not currently work. The car will only start in neutral and while the engine does not overheat, the temperature gauge may need attention. The car is a good quality driver. The 4 Door Hardtop will provide the legendary 1950s motoring experience and will be enjoyed for many years into the future. 1965 Buick Riviera

Lot #42 (Sale Order 41 of 74)

1965 Buick Riviera VIN: 494475H904957 Realizing a void in their line-up, General Motors sought to enter the personal luxury car segment to compete against the successful Ford Thunderbird. The Cadillac Division passed on the venture, and Buick was eager to develop the automobile to give it's lagging sales a boost. Buick developed the car as a stand alone model, no longer lending the name to segment models in the other GM divisions. First produced for the 1963 model year, the Buick Riviera had a distinctive body shell not shared with other GM divisions. Elegant ground-up styling paired with mechanical features such as the 401 cu in V8, twin turbine automatic transmission, power brakes and aluminum finned brake drums coupled with Buick's standard design suspension, gave Buick sales success out of the gate. From a drivability standpoint, contemporary testers considered the Riviera one of the most drivable American cars, with an excellent balance of comfort and agility. The Riviera presented at auction is a three owner car that was subjected to a complete frame-off restoration approx. 6 years ago. A complete photo album chronicling the restoration is available with the car. - Strong 401 Nailhead V-8 Engine, 325HP - Top-end rebuild including valves, springs, rocker arms/shafts, Lifters, Push Rods, Oil Pump - New Starter, Alternator, Water Pump, 600cfm Edelbrock Carburetor - Clamshell headlights work with rebuilt motor and fully restored linkages - New high-end Magnaflow exhaust - Air Conditioning with new AC compressor for driving comfort - 4-Wheel Drum Brake system completely rebuilt - Rebuilt front end and new springs and shocks - Body stripped to bare metal with Deep Blue House of Colors paint applied - Rust free car with no body damage or fillers - Upper front and rear bumpers and tail lamp grilles re-chromed - All remaining chrome/brightwork in excellent original condition - Original Steering Wheel with no cracks - New weather seals and NOS windshield - Re-chromed wheels with custom made Double Red Stripe Diamond Back tires - New Custom Front and Rear Seats - Power Windows and locks - Original Radio - The clock is currently ln need of attention An excellent example of General Motor's entry into the Personal Luxury Car market. Lot #43 (Sale Order 42 of 74)

1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL VIN: 113.044-12-021011 Bought at the factory in Germany by the current owner's mother, this car is a one family car. This Mercedes benefitted from regular maintenance and needed repair work by a single mechanic who specializes in import cars. The driving comfort on this car is enhanced by having aftermarket Air Conditioning installed. There is one slight upholstery tear on the driver's seat, a door pocket on the passenger side displays a tear The carpet on the driver's side has a wear through spot that covered by rubber mats. The car has had a professional re-paint to original color. The White exterior with black interior is a great color combination for this highly desired car. Only 830 cars were produced in 1971, adding to their allure and collectability. Two original Mercedes Benz tool sets in pristine condition are included, with some tools having Mercedes labels. The odometer reads 20827, but only records 5 digits. The owner is reporting the mileage to be 120,827. This car has both the hard top and the soft top. 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30

1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30

Lot #65 (Sale Order 64 of 74)

1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 W-30 VIN: 344870M356181 First Introduced in the 1964 model year, the Oldsmobile 4-4-2 was the result of the intense rivalry between the Pontiac and Oldsmobile divisions of General Motors. Pontiac enjoyed good sales results with the high performance GTO version of the LeMans, so Oldsmobile answered with a beefed up Cutlass. The 4-4-2 moniker referred to the combination of four-barrel carburetor, four speed manual transmission and dual exhausts. Oldsmobile outdueled the GTO in engine displacement in 1965 with the introduction of the 400 CID motor. Fast forward to the 1968 model year, drop the Cutlass from the name, and the Olds 4-4-2 was established as a separate model. 1970 was the pinnacle of performance from Oldsmobile with the 4-4-2 coming standard with the 455 V8. The Flag planted on the pinnacle of power in 1970 was the W-30 High Performance package. W30 added a fiberglass hood with functional air scoops and low restriction air cleaner, aluminum intake manifold and special camshaft, cylinder heads, distributor and carburetor. These performance additions pushed the horsepower output to 370. The car presented at auction is an excellent representation of the pinnacle of performance. This car is the high performance 442 with the W30 package. The engine underwent a complete engine rebuild less than 300 miles ago, and all mechanic work was done by GM dealer with paper work to document it. Noted within the ownership history on this car is that it was previously owned by Alice Cooper! 1966 Ford M151A1 Jeep 1966 Ford M151A1 Jeep

1966 Ford M151A1 Jeep

Lot #70 (Sale Order 68 of 74)

1966 M151A1 Jeep VIN: 2928778 In 1951, Ford Motor Company was awarded a contract to design a 1/4 ton truck to replace the World War II era Jeeps. The vehicle was designed through the 1950s, with Ford producing the M151 for military only use. The M151A1 MUTT, or Military Unit Tactical Truck, first put into service during the Vietnam War, was the principal combat jeep and played a part in American military operations well into the 1980s. The newly designed M151, replacing the M38 and M38A1, utilized an integrated frame design allowing for more ground clearance as well as a slightly larger vehicle in size but retaining the same basic weight. In addition, the new vehicle was equipped with independent suspension and coil springs. This made the M151 capable of high speed, cross country travel with better maneuverability and agility. But unlike other military vehicles such as the WWII jeeps, the M151 was never widely released into the civilian market. Many of the M151A1 vehicles that served in Vietnam were destroyed, having been cut up and dumped in rivers and the ocean. However, a limited number of MUTTS did find their way into civilian use. The MUTT presented at auction features: - Complete restoration in 2019-2020 - Restored to original specifications - 50 Caliber Mounted Machine Gun - Restored Ammunition Trailer - Original radios dismounted, but available with the MUTT - Good Running and Driving Vietnam Era Vehicle This car has been consigned to the 1st Annual Sioux Falls Classic Car Auction hosted by the Classic Car Auction Group.
