This 2-sided rotating route/destination sign was used in a subway car on the #7 Subway line that runs from Manhattan into Queens. This sign includes the stop for Shea Stadium in Flushing, Queens. This sign is from the early 1990s and clearly shows that it had been used in an actual subway car. The consignor acquired this sign from Leland Auction in the 1990s. This jacket belonged to a member of the Nigerian Olympic team at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. A nice bit of sports memorabilia, it is also a piece of civil rights history. For just after the opening ceremonies, several African countries -- Nigeria included -- boycotted the 1976 Olympic games and recalled their teams in protest of South African apartheid. There were reportedly only seven Nigerian athletes at Montreal, and they all left almost immediately after the games began. Jacket is in generally good condition, with no damage to the outside. Titled THE FABULOUS MINOX CAMERA...THE WORLD'S FINEST PRECISION CAMERA, this board is not a poster, it has actual parts showing a Minox camera in various stages of construction, framed to 21 1/2" x 31 1/2". Minox Assembly Demonstration Boards: Made up in the 1955-1962 era, and were either wall-hung or put in show cases and dealer store windows. They depicted the various stages in assembling a Minox III-s or B cameras. The boards were divided into sections which included the basic chassis, shutter mechanism, film transport, viewfinder, lens assembly, and control dials. The boards were made up in limited numbers. Good condition with normal wear to frame, one tiny piece appears missing, furthest top right. WWI 1917 British Artillery Director No. 5 MK I

A very rare World War 1 era (1914-18) Director No 5 Mark 1 brass artillery director theodolite gun sight. The instrument was primarily designed for the military to aid in field surveying and artillery aiming. These were originally issued to British military forward advance for the setting the elevation and angle of heavy artillery during World War 1. Unlike conventual theodolites it provides an upright - rather than an inverted image - which means that it can be used like a normal telescope. Marked W. Ottway & Co. Ltd. with multiple broad arrow marks. Measures approx. 15 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 6 1/4". Brass director has age appropriate wear and uniform patina.
