Spud Barge with Manitowoc 4600 Crane Lot #1 (Sale Order 1 of 3)
Additonal Notes: Barge was built of all welded steel construction during 1999 by Gretna Machine & Iron Works, is a converted ex-tank barge with additional stiffeners along with additional bulkheads installed under the aft crane pad. Barge has a raked bow, a transom stern with the forward upper deck having centerline camber and the after lower deck being flat inway of the crane pad. Hull is fitted with starboard side forward and aft approximately 4' high spudwells each having 32" square x 60' spuds within each. Spuds are operated by starboard side Clyde Flame 12 doubler drum waterfall winch spooled with 1 3/8" cable with winch engine driven by Detroit Diesel 671 engine with the winch and the engine skid-mounted starboard side underneath steel covered shed. Engine is electric starting and radiator cooled with battery in flat steel tray and skid having self-starting and radiator cooled with battery in flat steel tray and skid having self-contained fuel tank. Additionally, forward over centerline is elevated living quarters which is elevated atop approximate 30" diameter pipe stations. An enclosed machinery/storage shed is located port forward under the elevated quarters. |
