Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades Lot #25 (Sale Order 12 of 359) Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades. Here in the United States, a wooden nickel was not (typically) legal tender but instead more of a novelty coin often redeemable for an item such as a drink issued by merchants or banks as part of a promotion. Wooden nickels became popular in the 1930s though they may date back as far as the 1880s. During the Great Depression, banks in both Tenino and Blaine Washington issued emergency currency printed on thin shingles of wood due to coin shortages.Usually, wooden nickels served more of a commemorative purpose becoming a popular hand out from banks to boy scout troops at grand openings and special events. The tradition of wooden nickels as tokens and souvenirs continues to the present day.

2014 $20 Red Trillium with Crystal Dew Drops -1oz Pure Silver Coin Lot #62 (Sale Order 35 of 359) 2014 $20 Red Trillium with Crystal Dew Drops -1oz Pure Silver Coin. This is the fifth coin in a beautiful series of coins that feature stunningly-coloured flowers with elegant Swarovski crystal inclusions. The rich, burgundy-red flower sits daintily atop a delicate green stem against a background of highly-detailed green leaves. The already-beautiful flower is enhanced by three Swarovski crystals embedded in each petal, evoking the feeling of a sparkling dew-drop. Made all the more decadent with an ounce of pure silver, this coin will please anyone in your life deserving of a flower.

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sands 1907 Barber & 1928 Wal Lot #83 (Sale Order 52 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sands 1907 Barber & 1928 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secured a collection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1891-cc Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded ms63 details By SEGS (fc) Lot #109 (Sale Order 70 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1891-cc Gold Liberty Eagle $10 Graded ms63 details By SEGS. Up for auction is a 1891-cc $10 Liberty Head Gold Eagle ms63 details SEGS. Beautiful rose-orange patina mingles with frosty mint luster on both sides of this sharply struck, highly lustrous example. The Carson City Mint's output of half eagles reached its peak in 1891, and for the second year in a row coinage of this denomination at that facility outstripped that at the Philadelphia Mint. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Lincoln Wheat cent 1c orig roll, 1909 end, VDB other end Lot #117 (Sale Order 76 of 359) Lincoln Wheat cent 1c orig roll, 1909 end, VDB other end. Lincoln Wheat cent 1c original Shotgun Roll, 1909 on one end, VDB reverse on the other. The roll is held in a Rare & Collectable McDonalds Brandt wrapper. Actual roll pictured is the roll you will get. A great original bank shotgun roll with very tight ends. From the feedback we have been receiving, people are happy with these rolls, nearly half the roll seems to be teens, all the rolls have a few Indians, most of the rolls have some steel cents, and a lot of the wheaties are mintmarks. These shotgun rolls are all from a new consignee. They are all frrom one Estate. This particular Roll shows a 1909 on one end and a VDB reverse on the other end.

***Auction Highlight*** 1869-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms61 By SEGS (fc) Lot #118 (Sale Order 77 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1869-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms61 By SEGS. Up For Auction is a 1869-p $20 Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle ms61 SEGS. There are about 51 Mint State survivors for the 1869 double eagle. With 175,155 pieces struck, that total represents an Uncirculated survival rate of merely 0.03%. The fact is none of these coins were ever intended to survive. They were manufactured exclusively for export, as gold and silver remained unseen in domestic circulation after the Civil War. Once the coins were received abroad, they were usually melted and recoined. It is purely by chance that a few dozen Mint State pieces are extant, including this MS61 representative. Khaki accents complement frosty orange-gold surfaces. The stars show full radials, and partial detail appears on the eagle's neck feathers. Heavily abraded, as expected for the grade. We have included an ms61 for your comparison. I think you will agree ours is vastly superior A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1872-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62 By SEGS (fc) Lot #127 (Sale Order 84 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1872-p Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62 By SEGS. Up For Auction Is a 1872-p $20 Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle ms62 SEGS. Offered is a premium quality 1872 double eagle, an issue that is seldom offered even in marginal mint state quality. Vivid golden-orange surfaces are enhanced by wisps of iridescent reddish-rose. The strike is sharp to full throughout, and the surfaces are satiny in texture and exceptionally vibrant. The 1872 double eagle had a mintage of 251,850 circulation strikes, a good portion of which were sent overseas at a later time. Many high-grade EF and AU pieces, along with some mint state coins, found their way back to America beginning with the efforts of Paul Wittlin and James F. Kelly in the 1950s. These repatriated examples account for many of the examples in numismatic hands. Mint state survivors are in the minority, with perhaps just 80 to 120 pieces extant. Most of the uncirculated coins encountered are at the lower end of the mint state spectrum, generally MS-60 or MS-61. Select examples are of the utmost rarity and desirability. Tied for 4nd Finest known A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1866-s With Motto Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62 By SEGS (fc) Lot #131 (Sale Order 86 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1866-s With Motto Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms62 By SEGS. Up For Auction is a 1866-s With Motto $20 Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle ms62 SEGS. The design of the double eagle was modified in 1866 to include the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse. The San Francisco Mint struck the old Type One double eagles during the first part of the year, but switched over to the Type Two reverse in March. As transitional issues, both varieties of the 1866-S are always in demand from type collectors and series specialists alike. Despite a large mintage of 698,745 pieces, the 1866-S is quite elusive in Mint State grades today. The majority of the coins circulated heavily in the regional economy, and most examples seen are in the VF-XF grade range. The coin offered here is Tied For 3rd finest known. We have included an ms61 & ms62 example for your comparison A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1854-p Large Date Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded au58 Details By SEGS Lot #141 (Sale Order 94 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1854-p Large Date Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded au58 Details By SEGS. Up For Auction is a 1854-p Large Date $20 Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle Au58 Details SEGS. Seemingly one of the unsung rarities of the series, and one that serious double eagle collectors seldom see in Mint State or high grade AU , much less have a realistic chance to acquire. This example is a, softly lustrous coin with honey-gold coloration and satinlike surfaces. Sharply struck motifs and a bit of tooling on the everse give it its details designation. Apparently struck from a logotype meant for silver dollars, this Guide Book variety is one of the hidden treasures of the series and an opportunity for those who appreciate its rarity and subsequent value. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1850 C Charlotte TOP POP Gold Liberty Quarter Eagle $2 1/2 Graded ms62+ By S Lot #144 (Sale Order 96 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1850 C Charlotte TOP POP Gold Liberty Quarter Eagle $2 1/2 Graded ms62+ By SEGS. Up For Auction is a 1850-c $2 ½ Liberty Head Gold Quarter Eagle ms62+ SEGS. Struck in light yellow-gold with splashes of deeper color seen at the borders. This is the typical die state for this variety with multiple clash marks in the centers on both sides. This clashing appears to have somewhat weakened the letters in LIBERTY but the overall strike is a bit more detailed than usually seen for this issue. The luster is a bit grainy in texture which gives the coin a slightly lackluster texture. There are some minor contact marks in the fields that are in keeping with the assigned grade. The 1850-C quarter eagle is a bit less rare than its mintage of 9,148 pieces might suggest. There are as many as 250-300 examples known in all grades but almost all grade AU50 or below. In Uncirculated, this remains a very rare coin with around four to six properly graded pieces accounted for. We will note, no uncirculated example has come to auction in over 6 years. Tied for finest known. We have included two other ms62 examples for your comparison A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Silver City 1927 Walker & 19 Lot #235 (Sale Order 153 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Silver City 1927 Walker & 1954 Franklin Ends. Good Luck.

Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades Lot #258 (Sale Order 169 of 359) Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades.

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Aladdin 1906 Barber & 192 Lot #382 (Sale Order 225 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Aladdin 1906 Barber & 1929 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secured a collection of old 1960?s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn?t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1914-p Near Top POP! Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded ms65+ By SEGS (fc) Lot #416 (Sale Order 247 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1914-p Near Top POP! Gold Indian Half Eagle $5 Graded ms65+ By SEGS. The 1914 half eagle claims a mintage of only 247,000 pieces, partially explaining its scarcity in high grade. A significant number of lightly circulated coins are known in XF and AU grades, but gold did not widely circulate in the U.S. by 1914. Quantities of this date remained in the banking system until years later, acquiring numerous surface abrasions. As a result, this issue has a reputation for being elusive in Gem condition today. The present coin is spectacular in both its preservation and eye appeal, displaying the razor-sharp strike typical of this issue. The lower headdress feathers exhibit pinpoint definition, and the eagle's trailing leg is boldly detailed. The surfaces are less granular than often seen on half eagles of this date, and the mint luster is vibrant and frosty. Tied For 3rd Finest Known I Have Included the other ms65+ Exmaple As a Compartion A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Once the problem of the "fin" (or wire rim) had been worked out, Mint Superintendent Landis sent 10 High Reliefs to Mint Director Frank Leach, who in turn gave them to President Roosevelt. In a letter from late December 1907, Leach wrote Landis saying:"The President was greatly pleased with the sample of the lot now being struck off on the Medal press and not only "confiscated" those but wanted more. I am committed to secure some pieces for other parties, so please send me 40 pieces d.E. including the 10 you laid aside for me."These contemporary comments underscore the immense popularity of the High Relief twenties at the highest levels of government. These pieces have retained their appeal with collectors ever since. This particular example shows bright yellow-gold surfaces with a few small, insignificant contact marks scattered across each side. The "fin" or wire rim is almost complete around each side A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1798 Small 8 BD-6 Gold Draped Bust Half Eagle $5 Graded au55 Details By SEGS Lot #430 (Sale Order 261 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1798 Small 8 BD-6 Gold Draped Bust Half Eagle $5 Graded au55 Details By SEGS. 1798 $5 Draped Bust Gold Half Eagle, Small 8, BD-6 Variety, au55 details SEGS. Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/b. The very rare BD-6 is actually one of the three 1798 half eagle varieties classified as Large Eagle, Small 8, along with the BD-7 and BD-8. (John Dannreuther calls these "Normal 8" rather than the traditional Small 8 terminology.) The three die pairs together constitute the Small 8 Guide Book variety, although the BD-7 is rarer than BD-6, and the BD-8 is not as rare. The distinguishing attributes for the BD-6 are the Small 8 touching the bust (it is distant on BD-7 and BD-8), the broad 1 in the date, and the irregular cross pattern of the stars on the reverse. Ranked R.6, this variety is estimated to survive in all grades to the extent of only 30 to 40 coins. This Mint State example is orange-gold with excellent eye appeal despite the scattered, mostly small marks. Perceptible reflectivity on each side. The strike is somewhat soft on the central details of each side. A noticeable die crack on the reverse runs from the rim left of O(F) through a cloud and the right side of (UNU)M to the top of the eagle's right wing. No planchet adjustment marks are visible on either side. . We have included pictures of another au58, example A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1853-D Dahlonega Large D Gold Liberty Half Eagle $5 Graded ms61 By SEGS (fc) Lot #432 (Sale Order 263 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1853-D Dahlonega Large D Gold Liberty Half Eagle $5 Graded ms61 By SEGS. Up for auction is a 1853-d Large D $5 Liberty Head Gold Half Eagle, Winter 29-V variety, ms61 SEGS. Large D free of the stem and feather. The 1853-D Liberty half eagle is an available date in the context of the series, from a mintage of 89,678 pieces. The date is scarce in higher AU grades, and Mint State examples are rare. Doug Winter estimates 275-325 examples are extant in all grades, with 15-20 coins in Mint State. The present coin is an attractive Mint State specimen, with lustrous orange-gold surfaces. The design elements are sharply detailed, except for a touch of softness on the star centers and the eagle's claws. Tied for 10th finest. We have included an ms61 for your comparison A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Up For Auction Is a Very Near Solid Uncirculated Morgan Dollar Roll In an old Brinks Wrapper with Tight Shotgun Ends. This Roll is filled with Virtually all Uncirculated Silver Dollars. This is how we determined that. A Uncirculated Morgan Dollar a Weights 26.73 Grams. So 20 of them would weigh, 534.6 Grams. Our Uncirculated Roll Weighs 536.7 Grams, so the Wrappers weigh 2.1 Grams. The Roll at hand weighs 536.62 Grams. Deducting the Wrapper Weight of 2.1 Grams, the average coin in this roll weights 26.72 Grams. ***Auction Highlight*** 1811 Tall 5 BD-1 Gold Capped Bust Half Eagle $5 Graded ms61 Details By SEGS Lot #443 (Sale Order 271 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** 1811 Tall 5 BD-1 Gold Capped Bust Half Eagle $5 Graded ms61 Details By SEGS. Up For Auction Is a 1811 Tall 5 $5 Capped Bust Gold Half Eagle, BD-1 Variety, ms61 Details SEGS. The two varieties of 1811 half eagle share an obverse, while the two reverse dies are differentiated most easily by the height of the 5 in the denomination. The tall or large 5 is slightly more elusive than its small 5 counterpart, though both are scarce regardless of grade. Of course, at the select mint state level, "scarce" does not begin to cover this variety's condition rarity. The present coin has strong yellow-gold luster with traces of peach and honey. The strike is solid, and though a few reed marks appear to the left of the profile and a shallow line descends from Liberty's earlobe to close to her neck, the overall eye appeal is strong A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

This overall sharply defined, aesthetically pleasing coin will be perfect for inclusion in a mint state gold type set. Virtually all design elements are fully struck, and softness of detail is extremely minor. The finish is semi-proof like with considerable reflectivity under a light. Satiny devices provide visual contrast, and the eye appeal is enhanced by bright olive-gold patina. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** PCGS 1902 $10 Ultra Rare Red Seal National Currency President McKinley The C Lot #461 (Sale Order 283 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** PCGS 1902 $10 Ultra Rare Red Seal National Currency President McKinley The Commercal National Bank Of Washington DC Graded g6 By PCGS. The 1902 red seal type is among the most avidly collected National Banknote types, as the brilliant overprinting attracts immediate attention. The scarcity of these notes is several factors greater than their later issued blue seal counterparts. This note belongs to an important series of United States currency in that it is the last type note of National Bank Currency printed in the old larger size. At the beginning of the final charter of notes (1929) all the new notes are made in the new smaller size. This note also features the portrait of William McKinley 25th president of the United States, who had been shot and killed at the Pan-American Exposition just a few months before the first notes in this series were printed and released bearing his image. National bank notes are different from other nationally printed currency in that they are printed specifically for each individual chartered bank organization. This assisted greatly in creating a system of bank notes that were the same across the country. This aided in travelers knowing what they were spending and receiving in change, rather than the times when each bank and state printed their own currency with their own designs. The National Bank Note system was abandoned shortly after the changeover to smaller size notes in 1929, making the third charter notes the last truly used issue of this kind.

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Dunes 1954 Franklin & 1918 Lot #547 (Sale Order 334 of 359) ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Dunes 1954 Franklin & 1918 Walker Ends. Good Luck.

Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades Lot #578 (Sale Order 353 of 359) Vintage Wooden Nickel Town of Rindge New Hampshire Grades.
