The coin goes on the tongue and you pull the lever up and the tongue moves back dropping the coin down his throat. The front has this writing in red "Press the lever lightly watch my tongue appear save a penny nightly make your fortune here" The wording is a little hard to read. Held together with straight screws. Some light paint wear but good condition as shown.

The menu measures just over 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches wide. On the back of the menu it shows the Cocktails and Mixed Drinks list with a Hot Tom And Jerry only 35 cents. The two inside pages have some great Barbecue Dinners along with the cheap prices! Sweet Potato Pie Or Green Apple Pie 10 cents. The menu does have printed on one of the inside pages "Buy Defense Bonds And Stamps" so the menu date's back during the World War. Some light age browning around the edges as pictured but nice condition overall.
