1940 Ford 100 Lot #SEP21-435A (Sale Order 6 of 86) This gorgeous Coupe comes our way from the estate of a very well-known and respected Ford enthusiast and collector, the late Wayne Blackwood. From his early days of drag racing his Super Stock Shelby 500K Mustang, to owning his own Lincoln/Mercury dealership in North Georgia.
Mr. Blackwood has driven, owned, collected and sold nothing but Ford products. The joke around his home town was that he “......bleeds Ford blue if he’......s cut”....... This Coupe has undergone an extensive no-expense-spared professional build and restoration, and as with everything he did, it has the “......Wayne Blackwood”...... personal treatment. Starting with the beautiful Henry Ford Black finish that was applied to a rust-free laser straight body with all new correct interior, and finishing with the mechanicals that we all dream about.
The “......Flat Head”...... V-8 engine was professionally rebuilt with the addition of a high performance “......Isky”...... camshaft, tricked out “......Offenhauser”...... heads, “......Holley 3 Deuce’......s ”...... carburetor set up and 4-wheel disc brakes. It was always housed in a climate-controlled garage other than an occasional stroll. Car runs, handles, and stops unbelievably, and can be driven anywhere with confidence. Prior to Wayne’......s death, he owned this coupe for over 35 years!!!!

This little conversation piece comes from a local collector who is known for having nothing but the best in rare vehicles and memorabilia. He states that this is a 1965 Ford 427 cubic inch "Medium Riser" High Performance V-8 Engine, that reportedly was built by the legendary "Holman-Moody" Speed Shop. He also says that it has had some high performance upgrades that one would expect from such iconic engine builders. This is a complete sustainable running assembly (Video) that has been professionally mounted on its own self-contained rolling framework. It comes complete with radiator, gas tank, battery and electric start. The seller also states that it has never been installed in a vehicle since the build and that it starts and runs with ease. From the twin "Holly" 4 barrel carburetors, down to the factory "cast" exhaust headers, it truly is a time capsule of what raw horsepower and performance were all about. We can only imagine this very rare power plant installed in a mid-year Ford or Street-Rod.......but after seeing and hearing this beast, we think it's pretty cool just the way it is.

1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Wagon Resto-Mod Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718816 (Sale Order 15 of 86) Lot #411- 1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Wagon "Resto-Mod" From the Richard Baxter Collection. Being sold at NO-RESERVE!!! Dick says that this was a very solid wagon to begin with, and that it has undergone a complete professional restoration/build, and has only been driven less than 1000 miles since completion. Running gear consists of a fresh 350 cubic inch V-8 engine coupled to a 350 Turbo-hydramatic transmission. Performance modifications include an aluminum intake manifold, high performance Edelbrock carburetor, performance camshaft, custom exhaust system and a heavy duty aluminum radiator. The stock suspension was upgraded with a complete rack and pinion steering system and front disc brakes. The Raven Black interior is a "one off" hand-made design with embossed ghost flames that must be seen to be appreciated. A matching second row bucket seating arrangement was also added. Comfort amenities include tilt steering column, entertainment system, sound mat insulation through-out and a high efficiency vintage air-conditioning system. 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Lot #SEPT2021-4-64021411 (Sale Order 29 of 86) Lot #427A-1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396- Seller says that it has to go, and it will be sold at "NO-RESERVE" to the highest bidder!!! We've all done it. We have big dreams of restoring our "Dream-Car" ourselves. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but issues of money, time and space always tend to slowly creep in. This is a real "138"-code 40speed Super Sport Chevelle. It has never been restored and is in the early process of being restored. It still retains all of its original sheet metal with the exception of the new Hood that is still in the box. Trim tag shows that it was born with a Bolero Red exterior, with a lower white "Rallye" stripe and matching Red Sport Bucket Seats interior and console. Seller states that this SS was built at the Atlanta GM Assembly plant, and that it has remained in Georgia since new. He also says that it has always been garaged and is rust free. He says that it still has its original floor pans, trunk pans and rockers, and that the engine that is in the car now is non- matching numbers. He says that all of the parts are with the car with many in duplication. He says that all of the trim is there and is new, or as new. The original front and rear bumpers also come with the car, however they will need to be refinished. 1938 Ford Tudor Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718825 (Sale Order 30 of 86) Lot #428- 1938 Ford 4-Door Sedan-According to the seller, this Ford was treated to a frame up complete restoration not so long ago, and comes with the book detailing the work, along with all of the recent service records. Cared for extremely well by a German gentleman, it received great care at the hands of Avenue Imports In West Palm Beach, Florida, and all of their invoices come with the purchase. A wonderful rebuilt T5 transmission was installed, and 1940 Hydraulic brakes were installed as well. Wide white tires by Coker were mounted , and any little thing that attracted the owners attention was dealt with by Avenue Imports. This is a perfect tour car, or to be used as a wedding car, brides like the ease of getting in and out of the rear hinged back seating area! Finished in a handsome maroon with grey cloth seating and carpets, with the banjo steering wheel, this Ford is a pleasure to drive.

1931 Chrysler Six DeLuxe Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718807 (Sale Order 33 of 86) Lot #431-1931 Chrysler CM6 4-Door Sedan- Beautiful restoration and highly detailed touring sedan from the Jim Benson Collection in Greer, South Carolina. Originally produced on August 5, 1931 and shipped to the Chrysler dealer in Franklin, Indiana according to the Historical Services Division of Fiat Chrysler Corporation. Absolutely stunning in Bamboo Green & Bolling Green with black fenders and cream pin striping and wheels. The 70HP inline 6 cylinder starts and runs very smoothly and the 3-speed manual transmission shifts effortlessly. The interior, woodgraining, and gauges have been restored to museum-quality condition. Larger than a Ford of this vintage at 116 inches wheelbase, the interior is roomy for both the driver and passengers. 1970 Volkswagen Karmen Gia Lot #SEPT2021-4-64021410 (Sale Order 36 of 86) Lot #434-1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 2dr Coupe. Same family owned since new. All original and unrestored with the exception of one repaint. This Karmann Ghia has been garage kept in Monroe, NC, and has only been driven 81,000 miles since it was purchased new by the seller's Father in 1970. It comes equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, 1600 CC 'Flat" 4 cylinder engine, AM/FM radio, deluxe wheel center covers and Factory Air-Conditioning. The red exterior with the black interior really give this little coupe a striking appearance. The seller added that he wants everyone to know that this car is virtually 100% rust free and has not been driven much lately, and that the Air-Conditioning system is not operational, although it appears to have all of the original system still attached to the car.

1953 Ford F100 Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718844 (Sale Order 55 of 86) Lot #453-1953 Ford F100 Pickup. A two year frame off professional restoration was just completed on this North Carolina truck. The exterior was refinished in Ford Glacier Blue (Some call it Carolina Blue around here), with matching Blue interior with a White Ivory seat. The iconic 239 cubic inch "flat head" V-8 engine was also completely rebuilt back to factory specifications and is silky smooth. Seller says that practically every nut and bolt has been replaced or restored and that over $32,000 has been invested in this truck, not including labor. He says that the pictures do not do it justice, and it really must been seen to be appreciated. Seller also says that this F100 runs, stops and drives as new. 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air 409 Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718840 (Sale Order 65 of 86) Lot #462-1962 Chevrolet "409" Bel Air. This rare 409 Cubic Inch, 409 Horsepower, 4 speed, Radio Delete Bel Air is being offered by former NASCAR Competition Director and renowned "409 Professor" John Darby. John says that it still retains all of its original sheet metal, body panels, floor pans, trunk pans and rocker panels. The original Ermine White exterior was refinished over 20 years ago. The 409 cubic inch , 409 Horsepower engine was removed, rebuilt and professionally detailed. The close ratio "4 speed" transmission and rear differential were also removed, rebuilt and detailed. All bushings, brakes, shocks and suspension were correctly restored, rebuilt and marked. The undercarriage was completely and professionally detailed and must be seen to be appreciated. The Light Turquoise interior and carpet have never been replaced, restored or even cleaned. Even the trunk compartment still sports its original paint. This beauty has been in John's personal collection for over 15 years, and that it has always been garage kept. 1938 Chevrolet Race Car Lot #SEPT2021-4-63718823 (Sale Order 75 of 86) Lot #371-1938 Chevrolet Race Car- According to reports and legend, this “......ol’...... 88”...... was the first Chevrolet to win a Nascar sanctioned race and that was at Greenwood (SC) Fairgrounds Raceway on October 2, 1952 driven by Jesse Moore. Originally built by Wayne & Buddy Reid of Abbeville, SC, it mostly ran the Greenwood track in the ‘......50’......s, reportedly placing top 3 in 28 of the 32 races it competed in. It did not do well on asphalt tracks as the suspension was too high. However, on the dirt tracks, it ran circles around the V-8 Ford’......s of the time.
Car was restored in 1992 and ran some vintage races, but has been in a collection in Saluda, South Carolina. Car starts, runs, and drives. It has a Serial number and a South Carolina title.

In 2003, Avanti Motors purchased copyrights and began taking orders to build a very limited supply of the car. You could choose the option of having a GM or a Ford platform and running gear. Depending on options, these cars were sticker priced from $63,000 to $78,000. They featured all of the modern safety features such as Air Bags, Seatbelts, Shoulder Belts, and Anti-lock Disc Brakes.
