Savage Model 1907 Trials Gun in .45 ACP Lot #210A (Sale Order 22 of 224) This semi-auto pistol was made for the military trials. Barrel length is 5-1/4" with a matte blue finish. Grips are checkered walnut. Bore is average. SN on this gun is 105. The slide, cocking piece and barrel all are marked 105. The sight is marked 169 and one of the grips is marked 24. There were 288 made for the military trials. Overall shape on this .45 ACP is at 80%. Most were refurbished by Savage and sold to the public. Case on trigger shows little. These guns were sent to Fort Wingate, New Mexico Troop 1, 3rd Cavalry for testing. These pistols were later recalled from the field and returned to Springfield Armory then sold to Kirtland Bros & Co. of New York, and then back to Savage, then they were offered to the public for $18.00, per Scott Meadows book. This pistol is absolutely stunning. Comes with full coverage engraving by Claus Willig. This pistol has C. Willig's signature in front of the serial number on the underside of the barrel. Engraving is tight scroll with tight inlaid gold wire borders. Top of barrel is cross hatched. Bottom of barrel also has Paul Jaeger Jenkintown PA. Words can't describe the artistry of this work. Receiver and stock numbers match. 21" barrel has very good rifling with some darkness, fixed sights. Unnumbered but military accepted bolt. 80% blue finish on the barrel and 50% blue finish on the receiver and little finish on the trigger guard assembly. The receiver is Crown RE Terni marked along with SA and 1939 XVIII. The wood stock has a matching serial number and lightly stamped cartouche on the left side and is in good shape with some scattered hits. The stock is also PB marked. Has sling swivels. Comes with factory "victor" style engraving by Enoc Tue which is considered D grade. Butt plate is of the crescent type with engraved screws. Stocks are high grade circassion walnut with oak leaf high relief carving, "monarch style". Lever extension is jeweled. This rifle was displayed at the Pan Am Expo in 1901 in Buffalo NY. This is a straight stocked gun with a shotgun butt plate. Comes with perch belly butt stock. Comes with fish hook style sling studs. Finish is blue. Overall condition is at 75%. Case color on lever at 60%. Rear barrel sight is the buckhorn style. Front sight is a marbles with bead on top and round hole in the center. Walker Italian .44 Cal. Dragoon Kit Lot #315 (Sale Order 202 of 224) This 6-shot cap and ball Dragoon comes with a barrel length of 9". Finish is blue with brass frame. Grips are smooth two-piece walnut. Loading lever is case colored as is the hammer. This comes with engraved cylinder scene. Overall condition looks new and unfired. No markings on this Walker other than an Italian proof on the front of the cylinder.

Mostly a gray gun with traces of blue in the recessed areas and 40% blue on the cylinder with an index line. The action locks up solid. Has an Ithaca frame and a Colt slide. Bore is new. Comes in its original kraft shipping box with all receipts and provenance. Has one Colt marked mag. Grips are checkered brown plastic without logo. The frame is FJA proofed with ordinance wheel in place. It is not uncommon for these pistols to have mismatched parts. This gun is near 100%. Made in 1944. Colt New Navy in .38 Colt Lot #326 (Sale Order 213 of 224) This military issue New Navy revolver is in good condition. 6" barrel has a very good bore, fixed sights. 50% blue finish on the barrel and cylinder that's blotchy and turning brown. They cylinder has an index line. No. 570 on the crane and inside of frame. 60% blue finish on the frame with general wear. The action locks up great. Schutzen Style Muzzleloader in .38 Cal. Lot #327 (Sale Order 214 of 224) This cap and ball target rifle is about .38 caliber. Barrel length is 32". Barrel width is 1-3/32" across the flats. Bore is excellent. Comes with hickory ram in place. This is a half stocked rifle. Sights are Vnock rear with tang on rear tang. Windage adjustment is the front sight. Patch box. Butt is brass as is the trigger guard. Lock is marked James A. Butler "Boston" and is lightly engraved. Forend is German silver. Barrel is browned. Barrel is marked Remington on top and R. R. Strong 90% blue finish on the slide with high edge wear and a scratch from the slide stop. Slide marked Model of 1911 US Army. The blue finish on the frame is 85% with high edge and grip strap wear and a scratch from the slide stop. Marked US Property. WPG in a circle inspector mark. Wood checkered grips with diamond pattern are very nice with some marks. Two tone early loop magazine with keyhole is in very good shape with some finish wear. Made in 1912.
