The mount is still structurely sound with no damage and no hair slippage. The Rack is very good. It is a 8 x 7 with a total gross score 208. The Buck was probably harvested in the late 70's or 1980's. The skull plate is solid and the antlers have no stain, no cracks, chips, or repairs. This mount is still a very decent show piece.

The horns measure 26 2/8" x 26 2/8" inches long and the bases are 7" x 7" inches around. He ranks # 2 All Time in the Safari Club International African Record Books. Had he been measured years ago when he was harvested, he likely would have been the World Record because of the shrinkage from boiling and aging through the years. Kenya closed to hunting in 1977 but this mount was most likely remounted much later on because it doesn't appear to be more than 8 to 10 years old. Altogether this is a truly fantastic trophy from the Dark Continent.

Rarely Seen African Dwarf Forest Buffalo Shoulder Mount Taxidermy Lot #295 (Sale Order 296 of 512) There are more than a half a dozen of diffrerent types of African Buffalos and this is the hardest of all to get. You must go to the third World Countries and catch two or three more planes just to get into the inexcessible area where the Dwarf Buffalo lives. Then long and slow treks thru the dense jungle often so bad that you may have to crawl on hands and knees just to get to a salt lick or small water hole where they make be visible. These smaller Dugga Boys also have tempers even worse than the Cape Buffalo when pushed or wounded. Usually the hunter only sees parts of the Buffalo because of the dense foliage and cannot get a decent shot. The Cows also have horns and these animals come in red as well as black colors. This superb mount is a big trophy Bull that more than likely was well earned. You can see by the torn ears that he has encountered thorn brush as well as fights with other Buffalos and possibly a Lion or two. This mount has fantastic detail and expression and it is in mint like condition.

Awesome Mountain Grizzly Bear Full Body Mount Taxidermy Lot #300 (Sale Order 301 of 512) The Interior or "Mountain Grizzly" is one of North Americas most important animals. For one reason, this type of Bear only lives in the Northern Rocky Mountains and close by. The others Bear are Brown Bears in Asia, Europe, Russia and the Alaskan Coast. You can tell the Interior Grizzly by a couple of things. They average 7 1/2" feet squared out while Brown Bears will average at least 1 foot more. The claws of the Grizzly will be longer and thinner as these Bears work very hard for a living digging up roots and Ground Squirrels which require sharp long claws. Their hides; in our opinion, are more beautiful with long thin guard hairs. Sometimes blond, brown or even reddish brown such as this one. This is a very large Mountain Grizzly and he would square out around 8 feet. Notice his claws. Also a hairy hump on his back. The mount measures 68" long, 63 1/2" high, and 27" wide. This is a very decent and solid mount with very good taxidermy and in excellent condition. This Bear was harvested near Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada.

Giant 28 point Whitetail Deer Shoulder Mount Taxidermy Lot #302 (Sale Order 303 of 512) This Deer is what we call the "Irvin Barnhart Buck" This big Deer gross scores 255 7/8" and has 28 scorable points. Irvin Barnhart was a very famous Hunter from Houston, Texas and he travelled the World many times on hunts for trophy Class Big Game. He designed the scoring system for scoring all Big Game Trophys for the Safari Club International . He was on several commitees of Safari Club as well as being a Master measurer. Most important, Irvin was dedicated Wildlife Conservationist. We know Irvin harvested this Buck not too long ago and we mounted it about a year ago. Unfortunately we do not know where it was taken, but it was probably from a high fenced Wildlife Management Deer Ranch in the Northwest. The Buck has a 193 6/8" net typical frame and nets 249 5/8 on the Boone & Crockett scoring system. He is a 11 x 17 pointer and has a total gross of 255 7/8. The mount has superior quality taxidermy and is in mint condition.

It is 4 5/16" long and 1 8/16" wide. About 1 /16" of the tip was missing when the Spear Point was found. The finder had it restored but the past owner of the point had it removed so it is in the exact form as it was when found. Flint Ridge flint is highly desired among Indian Artifact Collectors. Spectacular AAA Zebra Rug Taxidermy Mount Lot #321 (Sale Order 322 of 512) This is a very nice mature Stallion that is nicely felted but not padded. Many People prefer this so that the Rug will lay out completely flat. This type of Zebra is the Chapman's race with the shadow stripe easily seen around the flanks and hind quarters. Many people believe this is the Burchell's species but scientist say that race went extinct a little more than a hundred years ago. The Eastern species migrated South during that time and so much inter breeding occured that what was known of the Burchell's race disappeared and Hybrids were everywhere and thus the Chapman's race dawned. Monster African Lion Rug Taxidermy Mount **TEXAS RESIDENTS ONLY** Lot #338 (Sale Order 339 of 512) When we say Monster, meaning Extra-Large; we are talking about the overall body size. This big male has only an size average size mane, but this is a true 480 pounds Cat. He measures 9 feet and 9" long from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. From front Paw to Paw he is 7 feet and 11" wide. The Big Cat was taken in Botswana about 34 years ago and was in superb condition one night around 2 years ago somebody forgot to let the Dog out, It needed to go, so he went on the Lions front left shoulder. Nobody knew about it and a couple months later this area started to dry rot and fall apart. The acid in the Dogs urine wasn't compatible with the type of tanning of the rug and over a period of time it broke down the tanning and rotted in a circle on that left shoulder. The area could not be sewn or glued due to the rotted skin so a large patch from another lion was placed over this 12" x 8 1/2" circle. The Rug was saved but doesn't look like a brand new mount anymore. We have had it cleaned, and professionally restored and all other areas are good and the circle on the shoulder is strong now. Lion hunts start at $ 50,000 to $ 60,000.00 if you can find a PH with a tag for one. Note: Besides the patch, this is a very good and Big African Lion Rug!

176 2/8" Net Typical 6 x 6 Whitetail Deer Record Class Shoulder Mount Taxidermy Lot #341 (Sale Order 342 of 512) This Buck was harvested in Kansas approximately 25 to 30 years ago. We found part of a Kansas hunting license on the back of the Deer but more than half had tore off and the other part was bloody and dirty. Obviously the cape is lightly faded and the taxidermy looks to be 1970's. We purchased the Deer at a Flea Market type of sale. We truly believe this is a Wild Kansas Deer that is a unrecorded Typical Boone & Crcokett All Time Record Book Buck. We checked the Book and nothing came up fitting the measurements etc... The rack is 25 2/8" on the outside spread. The measurements around the antler between the Burrs and the Brown tine are 5 5/8" x 5 3/8". The main beams are both 22 7/8". This is truly a really cool Picket Fence Type of Rack. A scoresheet will be provided and the Deer could probably be scored as a pick up. The mount is not shedding and it is in very good condition for its age.

Super Fantastic Non-typical Double Drop Whitetail Deer Skull Taxidermy Lot #409 (Sale Order 410 of 512) This Buck was a 19 x 15, or 34 pointer. He lives on a Deer Preserve or Breeding Farm. The antlers were sawed off above the Burrs about 1/2". Later when the Burrs were shed, the rancher hired a good taxidermist to attach them to the cut-offs. Later when they found a really Large Whitetail Deer Skull they attached the antlers to it. Now, it is a fantastic trophy and the Buck that grown the rack is still living on the Deer Farm! The skull has all of its teeth etc... The antlers are in excellent condition with no breaks, chips, cracks, or stain. Outside spread is 30 2/8". The inside spread is 20 5/8". The two big droptines are 10" x 7 6/8".

Authentic 4"+ Dovetail Indian Artifact Spear Point Arrowhead Lot #417 (Sale Order 418 of 512) This nicely serrated Dovetail was recovered from Ohio and was purchased at a Jim Bennett Artifact Auction there. The Spear Point measures 4 4/16" long and 1 13/16" wide. The Point was made from Flintridge Flint in the Early Archaic Period. It was found with a couple of small dings near the tip and we had them restored. See the Certificate showing the minor restoration done. This is a very collectible Artifact that will only increase in value.

Beautiful Archaic Bannerstone Indian Artifact with COA Lot #418 (Sale Order 419 of 512) Archeologist were very confused over the use of a Bannerstone when they were first discovered and for discovered and for quite a few years after. Many thought the early man put a stick through the hole and held it up high as they traveled with this funny looking Stone being a special sign of the different tribes. Well they got the part of a stick going the hole in the stone right. Later it was decided that the Bannerstone was a spear weight to help the hunter throw a more power strike to pierce the tough hides of Mammoths and Mastodons.

The Desert Mule Deer in Mexico are gray with big wide Antlers however, the Desert Mule Deer in far west and Eastern New Mexico are a lighter gray with smaller bodies and antlers. Although sicentist do not recognize this Deer as a separate sub-species, we do and we call it the Trans-Pecos Muley and this is a mature Buck full grown. One unusual thing about this Blesbuck is that it has a lot of brownish red hairs scattered around the neck and check area which we think gives him extra beauty.

Awesome Siberian Ibex Full Body Mount Taxidermy Lot #492 (Sale Order 493 of 512) Its our personal opinion that the Siberian Ibex is one of the most beautiful and most majestic animals that God created. The gorgeous chocolate hair with the long knabby horns are cool long beard really says a lot. This High Mountain animal requires a lot of climbing, stamina, and courage to hunt. The mount we have here is very well mounted and it is in excellent condition as well. The horns measure 44" x 45 3/8" long and the base are 10 4/8" x 10 5/8" around. All together this is a great Trophy in anybodys Book.
