The largest bear is a golden color with amber glass eyes. His felt paw pads all appear to be original. He is missing one ear and has a non-working push button growler in his back. The next bear is a light brownish russet color with beige velveteen paw pads and snout. His eyes appear to be amber plastic and he has a partially working push button squeaker in his back. His mohair is full and plush. The third bear has deep plush brown mohair with dark amber/brown glass eyes. He has very clean beige felt paw pads that appear to be original. His push button squeaker button does not work. The last bear is a light brown mohair that has a fairly modern Steiff button in ear. 4"-20" Group of vintage mohair animals including a Kangaroo with Joey, Steiff turtle and cat.

Lot #175 (Sale Order 174 of 199)

The largest is a 20" golden teddy bear with amber glass eyes. He has good mohair with only a few bare spots on his belly and head. His upper paw pads look original but the foot pads have been replaced. The next is a 14" kangaroo with stitched-in joey. He has amber glass eyes with slightly worn and thin mohair. It comes with a cloth tag that reads "JOY-TOYS, MADE IN AUSTRALIA". The Steiff turtle is 13 1/2" in length from head to the end of his shell. He has black plastic shoe-button style eyes that are loose and could use tightening. His legs and head are rather floppy. He has a silver Steiff button with yellow cloth tag. The next is a 5" tall (to the top of the tail) cat by Steiff with green glass cat eyes. He has dusting all over and only a hole left by the original Steiff button. There is a second hump-back cat that measures 6 1/2" to the hump on his back. He is dusted all over and has some balding spots in the mohair. It has clear glass eyes with big black pupils.
