It has a 27HP 44ci 4-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual transmission. Car stickered new for only $900. At one time this Crosley was in the Ragtops Motorcars Museum in Palm Beach, Florida and made its way through Georgia to Buddy Bennett who had it correctly painted before parking it in the museum. 1928 Star Depot Hack

Lot #549-1928 Star Depot Hack-Designed by William C. Durant and built to pick up passengers at the railroad stations, this is one of the more unusual and definitely one of the most rare cars in the Bennett Classics Museum. Star was introduced in 1922 to compete with the lower-priced Ford’......s and Chevy’......s however did not survive The Great Depression which started in 1929. This vehicle was supposedly built in the Detroit factory in ’......28 and is said to be one of only 3 known to be in existence according to the Durant Registry of their company vehicles. It is powered by a Continental 6-cylinder engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. It has never been out of the Bennett family. The original window sticker is still factory-affixed to the window and the original dealer paper floor mats are still in the trunk. The Cordovan factory finish is just like new as is the burgundy fabric interior. It is, of course, loaded with all of Lincoln’......s amenities.
