This Crystar Mini Camera was made in Japan during the post WW2 era. Originally, the concept of small cameras in Japan at the time was popularized by desire among consumers to save on the expense of large format film. During the 1950's these were rebranded as spy cameras when they were brought into the US market. This particular item is in very good condition. It's hard to imagine that something so small which was made 70 years ago could look new today with all of its parts. Tiny 2 and a half inch camera.

The Blue Star flag pin is worn to represent enlisted military personnel in harm's way. It is a symbol used by families of active duty service members serving during times of conflict. This pin design includes a white field with a red border, with a blue star for each family member on active duty. They are plastic, with pin back. Each pin includes a standard clutch back and is poly bagged. Tiny half an inch pins.

WWI New Zealand Post and Telegraph Corps Hat/Cap Badge Celeritas

The cap badge of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Corps features a winged foot and bears the corpsâ€™ Latin motto, â€˜Celeritasâ€™ (â€˜swiftlyâ€™). The Post and Telegraph (P&T) Corps was created in October 1911 as part of New Zealandâ€™s new Territorial Force, in which part-time service was compulsory for most teenage boys and young men. The P&T Corps was one of several specialist units. It was manned by Post and Telegraph Department staff who were liable for military service under the 1909 Defence Act. The corps was organised as two battalions (one for each island) split into 13 companies. Staff members aged between 14 and 17 served in the Post and Telegraph Senior Cadets, which made up one-third of the corpsâ€™ total establishment (nominal strength) of about 1500. After the war the Territorial Force was reduced in size. As part of this exercise, the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Corps was formally merged into the New Zealand Signals Corps (within the New Zealand Engineers) on 1 June 1921.

A gold colored eared shield bearing a circle connected with the border by 13 radial ribs, within the circle a sphinx in profile couchant. The insignia was authorized on 30 July 1923. The thirteen stripes on the shield converge toward a common point at the center where sits the sphinx, the symbol of wisdom and strength, thus symbolizing the collection of information by the Military Intelligence; and conversely from the center after evaluation, the military information is disseminated.The Military Intelligence Branch, USAR, was merged with the newly established Army Intelligence and Security Branch on 1 July 1962 and the insignia was cancelled.

The Royal Australian Engineers (RAE) is the military engineering corps of the Australian Army (although the word corps does not appear in their name or on their badge). The RAE is ranked fourth in seniority of the corps of the Australian Army, behind the Staff Cadets, Armoured and Artillery Corps. The corps was formed by the amalgamation of the various colonial engineer corps of the states and territories of Australia in 1902 and since then has served in various conflicts including World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War. The corps has also served on numerous peacekeeping operations and was heavily involved in the Australian contribution to the war in Afghanistan.
