They are marked w/ mfg. address, cal. & chamber information along with "RBL LAUNCH EDITION" on tops. Bbls. are also fitted w/ H&H type assisted opening spring . Coin finished rnd. bodied boxlock type action features non automatic safety & gold plated dbl. triggers. Action "engraved" w/ near full coverage, lg. open shaded scroll. "RBL" is on arched banner on bottom. Dbl. beaded trigger guard has semi relief matching scroll on bow. ATTRACTIVE BULINO GOLD INLAYS CUSTOM MADE FOR THOMAS B. HARPER JR. Cal. 20 Ga./28 Ga. S# W38379. Both 28" bbl. sets are fitted with slightly raised matted concave solid ribs mounted with 2 white beads. Both ribs marked "CUSTOM BUILT FOR THOMAS B. HARPER JR." in milled out portion of ribs. CSMC trademark, along with model and gauge information are on tops of left bbls. Engine turned bbl. flats stamped with serial numbers, gauge and chamber information. Both bbl. sets are choked improved cylinder and modified, and so marked. Small, flat side, blued action with watertable partially milled away to reduce weight has CSMC info in cutout. Action features non automatic safety ("SAFE") inlaid in gold and gold plated selective single trigger. Action engraved in a style resembling 21-4 except dogs are gold inlaid and exhibit very fine Bulino detail and appear to be R & L sides of the owner's pointer; most likely detailed from photographs supplied. Trigger guard bow engraved with monogram "TBH". Horn sunburst capped, long pistol grip buttstock of fine crotch figured American walnut measures 14 3/8" over black "Decelerator" pad. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip and a vacant gold oval is on toeline. Matching, braced beavertail ejector forend, with engine turned internals and inlet ebony tip, attaches to bbl. with "J" spring and knurled button secondary latch. Forend services both bbl. sets. Stock dimensions: 20 Gauge bbls.: DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 5/16". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. LOP: 14 3/8". WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 14 oz. (28 Gauge bbls. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 14 oz.). Appears essentially unfired except for proof with only a very few exceptionally minor handling and assembly marks on factory surfaces. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically crisp. SKEET GRADE STRAIGHT GRIP GAME GUN. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 20829. Made shortly after WWII, this fine gun has 28" bbls. w/ matted rib. Winchester ga. & chamber markings are on side of left bbl. All correct markings & proofs are on bbl. flats. Bottoms of bbls. stamped "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" & marked for skeet 1 & 2 chokes. Splinter has lead plug in weep hole. Standard blued action features non automatic safety ("SAFE" in gold) & blued selective single trigger. "SKEET" is in front of trigger guard bow. Water table has Winchester information & model. Winchester proof is very lightly struck. Straight grip buttstock of nicely crotch figured American walnut measures 14" over Winchester embossed red pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching beavertail ejector forend is braced & has usual J spring combined w/ knurled button release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 2 1/8". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 14". CAST: approx. 1/4" off. It's difficult to find any flaw in both wood & metal finishes, it is however, a superb refinish w/ meticulous factory style polish marks on action & correct borders of checkering. 42 PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 410, 3". S# 21475. When talking about special order Winchesters, the saying is “Never say never”. This full nickel Model 42 is a noteworthy example of what was possible. Could this unusual skeet configuration field choked gun be the only nickel M42 ever ordered? Bbl. 28" solid rib w/ fixed Mod choke. Beavertail forearm & straight grip skeet style stock w/ 22 LPI factory checkering. LOP:13 7/8" over original buttplate. S# indicates 1936 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hand written letter by a former Waco, TX owner relays the known history of this special shotgun. Originally delivered to the Clifton-Simpson general store located on the town square in Waco, TX, likely ordered by the store owner. In the late 1940s, it was given by the then owner to the Waco Gun Club as high overall award for its annual Club Skeet Shoot. CONDITION: retains over 98% of its factory full nickel finish, showing light scratches & scattered sm. spots of bubbling. Exquisite full coverage engraving centers around 3 color gold & silver inlaid western scenes. Right side scene depicts a camp scene w/ a cook swinging a shovel at an out of control fire. At center is a cowboy on a bucking bronc w/ a third cowboy falling over his gear on the right side. Left frontier town scene shows a wild west shootout w/ mounted cowboys & chair wielding marshall. Scenes are surrounded by gold wire inlay w/ leaf highlights. Additional gold wire inlay borders upper & lower receiver surfaces. Sides, top & bottom areas of receiver have a fine foliate scroll engraving w/ punch dot background. Lower receiver edges have wide repetitive geometric borders. Trigger guard bow has silver & gold steer head w/ gold wire highlights. MODEL 42 PUMP SHOTGUN. Cal. 410 3". S# 18727. Small gauge shotguns are favored of many shooters and collectors, and that is especially true of Model 42's like this one engraved by CA Superior Court Judge Cecil J. Mills. Judge Mills studied engraving at Trinidad Junior College in CO and under famed FN engraver Angelo Bee. Receiver sides have vignettes of Diana, Goddess of the Hunt, in multicolor gold and silver inlays. Background of woodland scenes have contrasting French gray finish. The vignettes are surrounded by full coverage foliate scroll engraving w/ punch dot backgrounds that extend to receiver top, triggerguard, and lower areas as well as the receiver extension. Top of receiver has a 3rd Diana, Goddess of the Hunter, and her dog in stunning gold and silver. A gold and silver chukar adorns the bow. Straight line borders and S# are also inlaid in gold. Engraver signature "C J MILLS" is found along lower edge of the right vignette. Machine jeweled bolt carrier and gold plated trigger. Barrel is 28" with an aftermarket round post vent rib with hand matted top and duck bill extension. Muzzle has a single gold border with scroll highlights, "FULL" choke marking is inlaid in gold. White target front sight w/ white mid bead. Beaver tail forearm and uncapped pistol grip stock are custom made of exhibition quality fig shell walnut having vivid chestnut and dark chocolate tones. Forearm and wrist of stock have ornate borderless 22 LPI fleur de lis hand checkering. LOP:14 3/8" over Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. Mfg. 1936. Judge Mills studied engraving at Trinidad Junior College in CO. and under famed FN engraver Angelo Bee. Right side plate features six raised gold flying doves with two color gold backgrounds. Left side scene depicts four flying and two sitting quail with two color gold backgrounds. Top of receiver has gold and silver inlay rabbits. Scenes are surrounded by vine type foliate scroll with punch dot backgrounds that extend to upper and lower areas of the receiver, as well as the triggerguard, receiver extension, mag. band and breech end of the barrel. S#'s, proof marks and "SKEET" choke marking are also gold inlaid. Engraver's signature "CECIL MILLS" is found along lower edge of left vignette. Both barrels have aftermarket Simmons large oval post vent ribs with long style receiver extension. Barrel 1 is 26” with fixed skeet choke and orange Gloworm front sight. SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. S# 542652. Bbl. 30" of stainless steel w/ solid rib, fixed Full choke & red target front sight. Stainless steel bbls. were offered on all Winchester Models for a short time. They were finished w/ "Japan Black" lacquer paint. This proved to be an unpopular option as the bbl. finish wore very easily. Consequently, stainless steel barreled. Winchesters are a scarce collector's item today. Tournament style gun w/ checkered walnut extension forearm. Early style pistol grip stock of fancy walnut w/ added tournament style checkering. Stock is shortened w/ LOP: 13 7/8" over an added solid red Win. pad. 1928 Mfg. CONDITION: action & mag. tube retain 40% faded blue showing flaking & carry wear. Bbl. has a gray coloration from attempted refinishing having no original paint remaining. Good bore showing some light fouling. Forearm has worn finish & checkering showing handling marks. CONDITION: 70% fading blue showing edge wear & spotted freckling. Refinished wood has thinned checkering & shows numerous scratches & dents. Stock has a sm. chip right of trigger guard. CONDITION: retains over 90% matte reblued finish w/ polished receiver sides & sm. parts. Stock & forearm have a gloss style refinish w/ freshened checkering, showing sm. handling marks & finish chips. Bottom of forearm has a hairline crack between the checkering diamond & rear edge. CONDITION: receiver & mag. tube retains 85% lightly faded original blue showing carry wear w/ scattered scratches having takedown marks on left side. Bbl. retains 98% reblue. Refinished forearm show light rounding at corners. Stock has lightly worn finish showing scratches & marks w/ sm. cracks extending from trigger guard tang & is undersized around the receiver. bore has evidence of raised dents about 7 1/2" & 11" from muzzle.
