Hopkins & Allen 12 Gauge Shotgun - Capt. A.H. Bogardus Commemorative Lot #42 (Sale Order 47 of 134) Hopkins & Allen 12 Gauge Shotgun. Captain A. H. Bogardus commemorative piece. This is a 12 gauge model 1888 Hopkins & Allen choke bored single barrel shotgun. One side of the stock has a very nice 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" brass medallion that is held on with 7 metal brads. There are 6 stars in the center that reads Capt. A. H. Bogardus World Champion Ball Shot 1893. Stamped on the side of the receiver is Capt. A. H. Bogarus in 1/8" high lettering. This shotgun has the heavy falling block loading gate that holds the firing pin. It is a lever action with a deep set hammer. It has a 6 3/4" long checkered forearm with a 13" long checkered pistol grip walnut stock with a 2 7/8" drop and a 1/4" wide hard rubber butt cap with a squirrel inlay in the end. The overall length of the gun is 45 1/2". The checkered wood shows use and minor marks but remains all original with no parts missing and is in very good working condition. This model 1888 Hopkins & Allen single gun was constructed for heavy loads. The barrels were bored out of solid metal. It has a rebounding lock and solid vertical breech block. It has a case hardened frame. This commemorative remains a real piece of history. Descriptive information provided by seller.

Hopkins & Allen 12 Gauge Shotgun - Capt. A.H. Bogardus Commemorative Lot #44 (Sale Order 49 of 134) Hopkins & Allen 12 Gauge Shotgun. Captain A. H. Bogardus commemorative piece. This is a 12 gauge model 1888 Hopkins & Allen choke bored single barrel shotgun. One side of the stock has an engraved 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" silver plaque which reads BBWWS Capt. A. H. Bogardus 1890. The plaque has 12 fine metal brads holding it onto the stock. Stamped on the top is Capt. A. H. Bogardus and Made By The Hopkins & Allen Manfg. Co. Norwich, Conn. USA. This shotgun has the heavy falling block loading gate that holds the firing pin. It is a lever action with a deep set hammer. It has an 8" long checkered forearm with a 13" long checkered pistol grip walnut stock with a 2 7/8" drop. The wood shows use but remains in excellent condition and the shotgun remains all original with no parts missing. The entire gun has been cleaned. All original finish has been removed. This model 1888 Hopkins & Allen single gun was constructed for heavy loads. The barrels were bored out of solid metal. It has a rebounding lock and solid vertical breech block and functions well. Flobert .22 Caliber Rifle - Annie Oakley Commemorative Lot #46 (Sale Order 51 of 134) Flobert .22. This Flobert style single shot .22 rifle is the type used by Annie Oakley while practicing for and performing in Buffalo Bill's Wild West. This 39 1/2" long rifle has a 23 5/8" octagonal smoothbore barrel and no serial number. The barrel has a gold sheared blade front sight and a fixed open rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel is "Annie Oakley 1891" and "Buffalo Bills WWS". There is a Belgian proofmark on the left side of the barrel just in front of the breech. When the barrel is removed from the stock, the underneath is marked PPE/OST V.O.T. T SD #2. The barrel, trigger guard and buttplate retain about 98% of their original bluing. The breech has a rare falling block type action which houses the firing pin (Hadley's Patent). The hammer, falling block and trigger are case hardened with a medium/dark gray patina. The walnut stock has a half-stock pattern and checkered wrist area which retains most of its original finish. There is a 1 3/4" shield-shaped brass plaque on the right side of the stock which is engraved "1st Place World Champion 1891". Shooters favored these gallery rifles (known as business rifles, parlor rifles, target rifles, gallery rifles and ladies rifles) because of their accuracy. Descriptive information provided by seller.

F. Williams 12 Gauge Shotgun - Pawnee Bill & May Lillie Commemorative Lot #48 (Sale Order 53 of 134) F. Williams 12 Gauge. This F. Williams 12-gauge double barrel shotgun's serial number (20271) is stamped on the flat of the receiver and the underside of the barrels. This is a commemorative to Pawnee Bill and May Lillie. "Pawnee Bill" is stamped on top of the right barrel, just in front of the breech. The right side of the buttstock is engraved in 1/4" letters, "Pawnee Bill's W.W.S." Pawnee Bill is in an arc over the W.W.S. Engraved vertically just in front of the buttplate is "Maj. G. W. Lillie". It has 30" laminated twist steel barrels and a bead front sight. The barrels are stamped 13 under the forearm and the proof stamps may be British. The case-hardened receiver has a box lock and exposed hammers. The receiver and tang, lockplates, hammers, thumb release and trigger guard are engraved with fancy open scrollwork. All exposed screwheads are also engraved. The forearm, pistol grip and wrist area of the buttstock are checkered. The metal attaching plate on the forearm is engraved to match the rest of the shotgun. Amberg Arsenal Mauser Model 71 in 11mm x 60R. - Buffalo Bill Cody Commemorative Lot #50 (Sale Order 55 of 134) Amberg Arsenal Mauser Model 71 in 11mm x 60R. This is a Buffalo Bill Cody Commemorative. Made in 1879, it is proofmarked with numbers and crowns in several places and was sporterized by Freund Bros. in Denver. It has a 24 1/4" round barrel with a clean and bright bore with strong rifling. Both the front and rear sights were changed out when the rifle was sporterized. The trigger guard and buttplate are nickel plated. Three of the screws in the trigger guard and the rear buttplate screw are original to the rifle before it was sporterized and these four screws have the last four digits of the serial number stamped onto their hearts. The barrel, receiver and bolt knob retain about 98% of their original bluing, with some light spotty surface rust on the right side of the barrel where the front sling swivel is located. The walnut stock with cheekpiece retains nearly all of its original finish. This fantastic firearm is documented, as it came out of the now defunct Civil War Museum that was located in New Market, VA, where it has resided for many years. Commemorative Pawnee Bill Wild West Show Beaded & Fringed Western Outfit Lot #52 (Sale Order 57 of 134) Commemorative Pawnee Bill Wild West Show Beaded & Fringed Western Outfit. This two-piece dark green beaded and fringed corduroy outfit is like the one worn by Pawnee Bill in his Wild West shows. The beadwork on the coat and matching leggings is consistent with the Wabanaki beadwork described in the blog by Joan Severa (curator emerita and costume history consultant for the State Historical Society of Wisconsin museum). The label in the jacket reads the Ward-Ltilson Co. Mfg. of Lodge Goods, Anderson, Indiana (which dates the outfit to pre-1913 when the company name changed to Ward-Stilson). When the outfit was acquired, a brass badge with a handforged pin was inserted through a hole in the corduroy coat. The 2 5/8" badge shows 11 stars inside a 5 pointed star and reads Pawnee Bill's Wild West M.C. 1897 (Master of Ceremonies). This is a unique and historically significant memento. This 10" x 6 1/2" x 5" wooden trunk is leatherette covered with flower design wall paper inside. Many 1/4" brass tacks decorate the outside edges and top. Two 1/2" brass tacks hold the 3/4" wide leather handle on the top & 2 matching 1/4" brass tacks hold the original 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" oval USS Co. A 1876 brass shield on the top. The brass lock cover shows an engraved eagle perched on a key. This unique trunk is of great historical significance to a collector of Native American Indian, Military, or western memorabilia. The 2 1/2" x 7" x 11 1/2" velvet-lined leather case has a 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" engraved plaque on the lid reading Pawnee Bill 1897. Included are a 9" buttonhook with a shoehorn, a 10" buttonhook with a flat blade, an 8" bakelite handled tool with a flat blade, a pair of 19" leather straps with buckles and a pair of chrome pullers for pulling the cuissardes and holding them in place. All the chrome accessories are marked Made in England and the lock on the outside of the kit is marked British made. The original key is included.
