It was innovative as it used real frog skin to cover a wooden bait. This antique lure was first introduced in 1940 and was made of wood measuring 3" in length. The wood blank would then be covered by stretching frog skin from front to back. The Croaker lure used two trailing treble hooks to secure it's prey. This is a spectacular example of a very sought after lure. It will grade a solid Excellent condition and more than likely unused.
