The 383 was a great runner for it's time, 325Hp from the factory, this car still has its factory high performance exhaust manifolds on it, to my knowledge this is still the 383 the car was born with, it's had one rebuild on it back in 2010/2011. Low miles on the car ever since. Interior was completely redone few years ago, and it's in perfect shape, new foam, padding and hardware, new carpet and so on... 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser Lot #53 (Sale Order 46 of 94) This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 has been body-off restored in French Racing Blue over gray cloth, and it is powered by a rebuilt 3.0-liter "B" diesel inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include a partial roll cage, removable bikini top, 15? steel wheels with Achilles Desert Hawk X-MT All-Terrain 32X11.50 tires, forward facing rear seats with shoulder belts for passenger safety, and a tailgate. The 4-speed transmission has a new clutch assembly, the brakes are disc up front and drum in back, power steering, and Warn locker ups in front. The seats are covered in Sunbrella fabric and the odometer is new (along with the rebuilt engine). Prior to the restoration the vehicle had about 140000km on it. There's no bondo anywhere on the body and the frame was sand-blasted and seal-coated, and it's super clean underneath. I have over 100 pictures of the restoration in progress over the last year - the tub and several panels are brand new stamped metal, made from scratch. It has a glow plug and starts up and runs great - the rebuild was done right before shipping and it's literally got just a handful of kilometers on it.
