John Infurna Reproduction of the 1886 Early model Long Distance Candlestick Telephone desk stand stamped 9738 this is Known as the "Theodore Vail" Set. Only One ever made for Vail and it Was not a Production piece by Bell. John Infurna made a Dozen of these in the 1980's If you do not have one--now is your Chance. These are Working Models. Well marked Western Electric early handset. This phone was actuated by taking it down off the Nail it Hung on. The switch Mechanism is connected to the large hanging Ring Internally. These hung off of Ringer subsets, and did not have ringers in the phone handle itself. Neat Item!

Well marked Coffin-- This is quite the tour de force for one of the contractors for the Early Bell Company, Post and Company.--National Bell was in existance for only 1 year--1879. In 1880, Western Electric took over and they were from then on the American Bell Telephone co. This Coffin Sports an Extremely Rare tag, Has the Burl Wood veneer on the front, And is a Very Desirable Model to own if you are a True Collector of Ancient Phonage. A Great Historical Phone !

This is denoted by the perch, and the distinctive hookrest assembly. neat Piece in This Condition!

1894 Stromberg Carlson FLIP-TOP Desk Stand Telephone

Museum Quality Rare telephone, Has cast iron base with wooden bottom. This particular phone was found in a rural area outside of Minneapolis decades ago by someone who just brought it to the collection owners home who knew he was a telephone collector and it about gave the collector a heart attack when he was asked if he wanted to purchase it several decades ago! If I had to count all the rare phones a collector would be hard pressed to find and own, this one would rank very high. Stromberg Carlson did not make a lot of these, and you could go for decades and not see another. A really Cool piece!
