1894 Stromberg Carlson FLIP-TOP Desk Stand Telephone Lot #25 (Sale Order 25 of 100) Museum Quality Rare telephone, Has cast iron base with wooden bottom. This particular phone was found in a rural area outside of Minneapolis decades ago by someone who just brought it to the collection owners home who knew he was a telephone collector and it about gave the collector a heart attack when he was asked if he wanted to purchase it several decades ago! If I had to count all the rare phones a collector would be hard pressed to find and own, this one would rank very high. Stromberg Carlson did not make a lot of these, and you could go for decades and not see another. A really Cool piece!
