STOP & TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS BEFORE YOU BID! Lot #500 (Sale Order 1 of 501) Seriously, read this Lot and you will have a much smoother auction process, and bid on the dog JUST ONCE when you're done, and we will know how many people will actually follow the rules and have a great auction! You WON'T win this lot!!! Ruger is the Brand Used Works Mascot!!! Thank you for attending our Gun auction, this is an absolute, No reserve auction and all bids are a binding contract. All Firearms require a background check. Please do not bid on a firearm if you are unable to own one. We ship anywhere in the United States. Please be ready to pay for any items you win directly following the auction as we pay our consignors quick. PLEASE NOTE: The webcast services DON'T provide your credit card information that you provide them to be able to bid. We WILL call each and every one of you following the auction for payment information and request the information on who you are using for out of state FFL transfers, we WILL need a copy of your FFL Providers License to ship your Firearm. If you are Local Resident, you can come pick-up your firearm and background check here, We ARE an FFL. Hibid (our website) buyer's premium JUST INCREASED! Now All 3 HiBid, Proxibid & Live Auctioneers Internet bidders Buyers Premium is 15% that includes the fee for using a credit card. We NO LONGER take Personal checks, PayPal, Money Orders, Etc., reason being is the average person does NOT send out that check or money order immediately and delays us paying the consignors. We call, Pack, and ship orders in Bidder numeric order starting with bidder #1, Hibid bidder #'s start at #1, Live Auctioneers start at #9000, Proxibid starts at #3000. You want to be called quicker? you want your stuff shipped quicker? Well bid on the appropriate website. For Shipping we use the most economical way, Typically FedEx Ground & FedEx OneRate. You will be responsible for the shipping cost plus $6.00 Per box fee to cover the Box, Bubble Wrap, Peanuts, Tape, Labels, Etc. (Prices Just Went up and Out of My Control) YES, We combine your order in ONE BOX if we can, We are the most cost effective shipper in the auction industry. We DO NOT offer shipping quotes; we charge cost including OUR discount! it is what it is, and it doesn't get any better! For Using the Webcast, please use GOOGLE CHROME as your browser as they have the highest refresh rates and helps move the auction along at a real time webcast. Right before the auction starts auction day, there will be a new button flashing for LIVE AUCTION, click that and it will take you to the live auction. There will also be a button for LIVE AUDIO/VIDEO. The first time click it, it will give you audio, then click again and you will have video. You can see us and hear us thru the whole auction. We will say more info that you may not have in the description and be able to follow along with the auction better by listening. Plus, you will hear me talking a bunch of crap the whole auction! Should be entertaining! If you won a firearm, you could send a copy or have your provider, send a copy of their valid FFL to our email at brandusedworks@hotmail.com or by fax at 719-784-7440. MAKE SURE they put your name somewhere on the correspondence so we can correlate the two! We get a heck of a lot of FFL's after an auction, you are not the only one who bought a gun! There is a $10 transfer fee on all firearms to help maintain keeping the books. We accept C&R Licenses, a question of age, the burden falls on you, the C&R. The auction will move at a rapid pace so please don't wait for the last minute to place your bids as you may miss out on that lot. THIS ONE IS HUUUUGE! If you leave a PRE-BID we DO NOT see your max bid. NONE of the 3 platforms talk or share information with each other. Just because your max bid was $60 and you were winning at $30, $40 on another site, $50 you're in, then we ask for $60. WELL.... it won't automatically run you up... and we get $60 on another site, you're out and that's the way the ball bounced. There is nothing we can do to resolve this. MY ADVICE for what it's worth... Bid one more increment just in case. Who wants to lose by one bid or even worse, by a tie for the same price!

De-Milled WWII M20 MKII Rocket Launcher Lot #503 (Sale Order 4 of 501) De-Milled WWII M20 MKII Rocket Launcher Bazooka, Has Crack From De-Milled Area, is the common name for a man-portable recoilless anti-tank rocket launcher weapon, widely deployed by the United States Army, especially during World War II. Also referred to as the "stovepipe", the innovative bazooka was among the first generation of rocket-propelled anti-tank weapons used in infantry combat. Featuring a solid-propellant rocket for propulsion, it allowed for high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warheads to be delivered against armored vehicles, machine gun nests, and fortified bunkers at ranges beyond that of a standard thrown grenade or mine. The universally applied nickname arose from the M1 variant's vague resemblance to the musical instrument called a "bazooka" invented and popularized by 1930s American comedian Bob Burns.

Uberti 1873 Single-Action Cattleman Hombre .45 LC Lot #516 (Sale Order 17 of 501) Up Next We Have a Uberti 1873 Single-Action Cattleman Hombre Revolver Chambered in .45 Long Colt, In 1873, Colt's single-action Army (SAA) revolver became the Army's standard sidearm. Cavalry troopers were armed with the new revolvers. Lawmen and outlaws alike were quick to adopt the handy new 6-shooter which earned the nickname "Peacemaker." The single-action Army was most widely produced with a color case-hardened frame and blued barrel. Meanwhile, a nickel-plated version was issued to Indian scouts. And a bright charcoal blue finish was available from the factory. But with years of use, the old 6-guns took on a well-handled soft gray patina. All of these classic finishes are available in the 1873 Cattleman. This Revolver Appears to Be Brand New in The Factory Box.

Antique Ceremonial Sword etched guard Lot #578 (Sale Order 79 of 501) This one had me stumped for a bit, with really nothing to work with, I could not find a MFG name any where, so I will describe the features, This sword has a floral etched design on the brass guard, half of the basket guard is etched the other half is not, the handle to the guard is simple and close to the handle, not as ornate and large, this one is simple yet the "back piece runs from the top of the handle to the bottom, as were I have seen many that is partial at the top area of the handle, there is a forward swept quillon, comes with an etched pommel button, you can still see the dotted lines on this full guard piece, NOTE: there is a tiny crack on the guard piece on the left side, the handle appears as wood with the wire rotated around the wood, the blade is approx 30.5" in length, and is approx 3/4" wide, some wear and use marks with rust speckled through out, overall I would say nice condition, do some homework and refer to our pictures provided to make your bidding decisions, have fun and good luck!

20 Rounds Of Norma 9.3x74R Ammunition Lot #586 (Sale Order 87 of 501) 20 Rounds Of Norma 9.3x74R Ammunition, 232 Grain Brass Cased Soft Point Vulkan Ammo This is the rimmed version of the 9,3x62. Unlike most other cartridges that comes in both rimmed and rimless version, the designer chose to make a greater case capacity instead of reducing the load in order to keep the pressure down. Accordingly the 9,3x74R can be loaded to almost the same muzzle velocity as the 9,3x62 and still be used in combination guns and double rifles. It is not known who designed the 9,3x74R, but it emerged early in the 1900s as a German equivalent to the slightly shorter .400/.360 Westley Richards. The 9,3x74R is considered the Queen of rimmed cartridges, being equally powerful as the now almost obsolete .375 H&H Flanged Magnum. It is very popular in Europe for double rifles and also a good many combination guns have a rifle barrel in 9,3x74R. In England many old doubles in the .350-caliber range has been rebarreled for this cartridge. It covers the same range of game as the 9,3x62, but due to the construction of the rifles it is used in, it is not very useful at long range.

US M-122 Machine Gun Tripod Mount Lot #593 (Sale Order 94 of 501) US M-122 Machine Gun Tripod Mount, Dated 1941 US Marked, The M2 Tripod is a U.S. machine gun tripod originally used with the Browning M1919 infantry machine gun. Since then, it has seen several redesigns, but remained largely the same. In this fashion, the M2 tripod has seen combat service in every conflict that the U.S. Army and Marine Corps has been involved in since World War II. It has also been widely used by numerous other nations, such as U.S. Allies in various wars, especially those countries that used the same machine guns as the United States military. The M60 was originally going to be used on an experimental M91 tripod, but the M122 was selected over it in the 1950s. The M122 weighs 16 pounds (7.3 kilograms) The differences between the M2 and M122 are found in the types of mounting pintles and the traverse & elevation mechanisms. The actual tripod is referred to as the "tripod leg assembly" and is essentially identical among all models.

Astra Modelo 1921 400 Experimental model 9mm/38 Lot #594 (Sale Order 95 of 501) Up Next We Have a Astra Modelo 1921 (400) Experimental model Semi Auto Pistol Chambered in 9MM Largo/ .38 ACP Experimental models with the barrel marked '9mm/38' is indicating it was made with/converted to a compromise bolt face that will accept either the 9mm Largo cartridge or the .38 ACP (not Super) cartridge. Overall Appears in Great Condition for it's age, Matching Serial Numbers 85915, Original Checkered Wood Grips. The Astra modelo 400 was a Spanish service pistol produced by weapons manufacturer Astra-Unceta y Cia SA. as a replacement for the Campo-Giro 1913/1916, which had also been chambered in 9mm Largo. It was the standard issue sidearm in the Spanish Army during the Spanish Civil War and also saw service in Germany during World War II. The Astra Model 1921 pistol was adopted in 1921-23 as the standard pistol of the Spanish armed forces and police. It was an unusual design in that, although chambered for the powerful 9mm Largo cartridge, it operated on the blowback system - i.e. with an unlocked breech. It achieved this by the employment of very strong recoil spring (which coils around the barrel) and a heavy slide. The Model 1921 (sold commercially as the Model 400) was produced until 1946. It armed both sides in the Spanish Civil War and 6,000 were purchased by Germany during the Second World War.

U.S Navy MK3 Survival Diving Knife & Sheath Lot #614 (Sale Order 115 of 501) U.S Navy MK3 Survival Diving Knife & Sheath The Mark 3 was officially adopted by some units in the United States around 1970, and was also sold for general sale. It has a saw tooth back and a black oxide finish, with high impact plastic handle and sheath. The original had a steep counter curved point which the Navy requested be reinforced because of damage to the tip of the blade when prying. They have since reinforced the tip eliminating the reverse curve making the point more sturdy. People have found many uses for this knife, including using the butt as a hammer and the blade as a prybar which may cause personal harm. The blade is said to hold a great edge and be very durable.

Pride doesn’t begin to express how Henry Repeating Arms feels about this chance to salute our Armed Forces with an elaborately decked out tribute edition rifle. They have built on a time-honored tradition dating back to the Civil War, when ornately engraved Henry rifles were first presented to veterans as tokens of appreciation. The Military Service Tribute Edition is based on the Golden Boy and is chambered in .22 Long Rifle, .22 Long, and .22 Short, with the same adjustable sights, 20” octagonal barrel, walnut furniture, and half-cock “safety” notch on the hammer. From there, Henry Repeating Arms stepped up to a highly-polished nickeled receiver cover and added intricate scrollwork. The majestic American bald eagle surrounding a shield bearing the words, "IN RECOGNITION OF MILITARY SERVICE TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY," on the right side, and on the left side the Statue Of Liberty as the face of America’s democracy, opportunity, and hope next to the famed Liberty Bell that rang for a nation that, with the help of our military, will remain forever free. All images and the laurel leaf borders are selectively plated with 24K gold. The recognition, "SALUTING OUR MILITARY HEROES," is cut into the surface on both sides between the front and rear panels. The full-color Stars and Stripes are laser-etched and hand painted along with the words, "GOD BLESS AMERICA," on the stock’s right side. As a tribute to a returning military member, a graduation gift for a new “boot” just out of Basic, a thank you to a family member who served in the past, or a “made it home” celebration memento to yourself, this rifle can be a life-long reminder of duty calls answered, sacrifices made, and services appreciated. Specifications and Features: Henry Repeating Arms Golden Boy Military Tribute 2nd Edition Lever Action Rimfire Rifle H004MS2 .22 Long Rifle, .22 Long, and .22 Short 20" blued octagon barrel 16 round tube magazine Hammer safety Side ejection Nickel receiver with golden engravings Fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sigh with reversible white diamond insert Brass beaded front sight American walnut stock with straight grip 38.5" overall length 6.75 lbs unloaded Made in the USA

Enfield Ishapore 2A Rifle 1965 Indian 7.62 R.F.I. Lot #648 (Sale Order 149 of 501) Here we have an old Enfield Ishapore 2A Rifle Chambered in 7.62 and appears in all original configuration, good furniture, Comes With One Magazine, On the right side of the reciever it is marked as follows: Crown - Rifle 7.62MM 2A R.F.I. 1965. Findings from the internet below: The Rifle 7.62mm 2A/2A1 (also known as the Ishapore 2A/2A1) is a 7.62×51mm NATO calibre bolt-action rifle adopted as a reserve arm by the Indian Armed Forces in 1963. The design of the rifle - initially the Rifle 7.62mm 2A - began at the Rifle Factory Ishapore of the Ordnance Factories Board in India, soon after the Sino-Indian War of 1962. The Ishapore 2A/2A1 has the distinction of being the last bolt-action rifle designed to be used by a regular military force other than specialized sniper rifles. Externally the Ishapore 2A/2A1 rifle is based upon (and is almost identical to) the .303 British calibre SMLE Mk III* rifle, with the exception of the distinctive “square” (10 or 12 round) magazine and the use of the buttplate from the 1A (Indian version of the FN FAL) rifle. The 2A was designed to allow the British Pattern 1907 (P'07) sword bayonet used on the SMLE MkIII to be attached. There were other differences to the Ishapore 2A/2A1 rifles that include the use of improved steel (to handle the increased pressures of the 7.62mm NATO round), and a redesigned extractor to cope with the rimless round. Production of these rifles started in early 1960s and is believed to have been discontinued in 1975. The original (2A) design incorporated the Lee–Enfield rear sight which has graduations out to 2000 yards. The re-designated "Rifle 7.62mm 2A1" incorporated a more realistic 800 meter rear sight. The stock is recycled from the No. 1 Mk. III armory stock, with the addition of a cross screw forward of the magazine well. Some stocks were salvaged from existing surplus and show artificer repairs where rotted or damaged wood has been replaced. This repair is especially evident with the recoil draws (the area the receiver contacts when recoiling after the shot) that often failed over time due to the rifle being rack-stored butt down / muzzle up, which allowed oils and grease to migrate downwards into this critical area.

World War II M4 .30 Carbine Bayonet Lot #686 (Sale Order 187 of 501) World War II M4 .30 Carbine Bayonet, Blade Measures Approx 6.5" Long The M4 bayonet, like the M3 fighting knife that preceded it, was designed for rapid production using a minimum of strategic metals and machine processes, it used a relatively narrow 6.75-inch bayonet-style spear-point blade with a sharpened 3.5-inch secondary edge. The blade was made of carbon steel, and was either blued or parkerized. Production of the grooved wooden handle was later simplified by forming the grip of stacked leather washers that were shaped by turning on a lathe, then polished and lacquered. The steel cross guard had a bayonet muzzle ring and the bayonet fastener is on the pommel. Later models used a black molded plastic handle. The basic design would be used for the later M5, M6 and M7 bayonets.

Swiss K1911 Long Straight Pull Rifle 7.5x55 Lot #723 (Sale Order 224 of 501) Up Next We Have a Swiss K1911 Long Straight Pull Rifle Chambered in 7.5x55, Bakelite Charging Handle, Overall Appears in Excellent Condition, Matching Visible Numbers, An improvement over the original M1889 version of the Schmidt-Rubin rifle, the Swiss M1911 placed the locking lugs in the middle of the bolt -rather than at the rear- strengthening the action and allowing a more powerful cartridge, the Gewehrpatrone 11 or GP11, to be used. It is distinguished from the 96/11 rifle by a curved butt plate and by a stock with an integral semi-pistol grip. It uses a graduated tangent sight which begins at 300 meters. The 1911 and 96/11 rifles are characterized by exceptional accuracy and were made with excellent craftsmanship. The fact that Switzerland remained neutral through both world wars ensured that they are in far better condition, on average, than the rifles of other European nations from that vintage. This is the long variation of the K1911 rifle with the 30.75" barrel and should not be confused with the carbine version which was a later generation rifle. This is one of the most accurate rifles ever made. The Swiss are renowned for their quality workmanship and attention to detail, and the Swiss soldiers typically took very good care to keep their rifles functional and serviceable. However, they used their rifles and carried them in training in very harsh weather conditions. As such it is very typical for the external surfaces of Swiss surplus rifles to be well used and you can expect these rifles to have a lot of dents and dings or very minor cracks in the stock.

Pride doesn’t begin to express how Henry Repeating Arms feels about this chance to salute our Armed Forces with an elaborately decked out tribute edition rifle. RARE Japanese Murata Type 22 Bolt Action Rifle Lot #762 (Sale Order 263 of 501) Up Next We Have a Cool Japanese Murata Type 22 Bolt Action Rifle Produced from 1889 to 1899, the Type 22 rifle was Japan's first smokeless powder military rifle. This rifle has inverted "V" front and ladder rear sights, with a clear chrysanthemum on the barrel and Japanese script on the receiver. Full length stock with an upper handguard and an exceptionally nice Japanese cartouche stamped on the right side of the buttstock. Murata rifles are extremely rare, as once the Arisaka rifle was adopted the Murata was then designated and re-issued for training purposes at which time all the bolt heads were officially removed. Once declared as obsolete and available for sale as surplus, being unusable due to the lack of the bolt heads, most were scrapped for the steel content. This Murata 8mm magazine rifle is a fine example, and all complete EXCEPT for the bolt head which was officially removed. A very rare Japanese Infantry rifle that preceded the 1898 Arisaka and subsequently very difficult to find on the collector’s market today. The Murata rifle (??? Murata ju) was the first indigenously produced Japanese service rifle adopted in 1880 as the Meiji Type 13 Murata single-shot rifle. The 13 referred to the adoption date, the year 13 in the Meiji period according to the Japanese calendar. Later revisions including a tubular magazine, and a reduced caliber, led to the introduction of the Type 22 in 1889, the 22nd year of the Meiji calendar.

Early Carcano Arisaka Type I Brescia Lot #777 (Sale Order 278 of 501) Up Next We Have a Type I Rifle, The “Japanese Carcano” It is an interesting piece that at first glance seems a 91 rifle with the two-pieces Japanese-like buttstock. In 1938, Japan is engaged in the war against China. The alliance between Japan, Italy and Germany has not yet been established (it will be in 1940) but since 1936 Japan and Germany have signed the anti-Comintern agreemnt, signed by Italy one year later: the Axis Tripartite is emerging, and Tokyo and Berlin start a significant industrial effort to be ready for the wars to come. In this political and military situation, Japanese government issue an order for 60,000 Italian Carcano rifle long adapted to the size of the standard Japanese cartridge: the 6.5 mm Arisaka. The whole of the original blueprints of the Carcano Arisaka were made at Fabbrica d’Armi of Terni but it is logical to assume that they were based upon Japanese requirements. At Terni, they did not realize the rifles, but they assigned instead the Sezione Fabbrica d’Armi Regio Esercito (SFARE) at Gardone Val Trompia to produce 30,000 pieces, while the other 30,000 pieces were contracted out to civil firms: Beretta at Gardone V.T. and the Fabbrica Nazionale d’Armi (FNA) of Brescia. The numbers are very approximate because the documents were lost, production and allocations between the three factories are only hypotheses, among other things is not even known whether the total amount of weapons has actually been achieved. Each time a batch was ready, was sent to the SFARE for acceptance by a commission of Japanese officers. Production began at the end of '38 and ended in mid '39, the weapons were supplied with all the mechanical parts but without belts and bayonets and the wooden stocks were not finished with protective coatings, as Japanese choose to take care of this. There are almost no markings on the rifle, except for the serial number. It is to note that also the classical chrysanthemum is missing, may be it would have been impressed by a Japanese arsenal. The Type I rifle is a strange hybrid with an interesting history. The Imperial Japanese Army controlled the arsenals that made small arms and got priority in deliveries. When the war in China heated up in 1937, the Imperial Japanese Navy could not get enough domestically-produced rifles from the Army-controlled arsenals, so they went to Europe and looked at foreign sources. They liked German rifles but found them too expensive so they signed contracts with the Czechs and Italians. The Italian order was for 60,000 rifles, half made by RSFAE, one-quarter by Brescia and one-quarter by Beretta. The rifle has a Carcano action but is otherwise configured to look and handle like a Type 38. The calibre is 6.5mm X 50 Arisaka.

Swiss Vetterli M78 Waffenfabrik Bern Rifle .41 Lot #801 (Sale Order 302 of 501) Here we have an antique Swiss Vetterli M78 Waffenfabrik Bern Rifle Chambered in .41 Swiss Rimfire, C. 1878-1880 bolt action rifle; Serial number 165051. All Visble Matching Numbers minus the Stock, Twelve round tubular magazine. Straight shoulder stock, and full length forearm; two barrel bands, metal cleaning rod, The Swiss Vetterli rifles combined the American Winchester Model 1866's tubular magazine with a regular bolt featuring for the first time two opposed rear locking lugs. This novel type of bolt was a major improvement over the simpler Dreyse and Chassepot bolt actions. The Vetterli was also the first repeating bolt-action rifle to feature a self-cocking action and a small caliber bore. Due to the Swiss Federal Council's early 1866 decision to equip the army with a breechloading repeating rifle, the Vetterli rifles were, at the time of their introduction, the most advanced military rifles in Europe. The Vetterli was the replacement for Amsler-Milbank rifles, which were a metallic cartridge conversion from previous Swiss muzzle-loading rifles.

Original Austro-Hungarian Model 1854/67 Wänzl Lot #813 (Sale Order 314 of 501) Up Next We Have a Scarce Original Austro-Hungarian Model 1854/67 Wänzl Lorenz Breech-Loading Conversion Rifle, The Wänzl rifle was a breechloading conversion of the M1854 & M1862 Lorenz rifle. The Austro-Hungarian Empire used the Wänzl as their service rifle until they had enough M1867 Werndl-Holub rifles to arm the military. The rifle was a lifting-block breechloader chambered for the 14×33mm Wänzl rimfire cartridge. The Austrians converted a total of 70,000 Lorenz muskets to Wänzls. The Lorenz percussion rifle adopted in 1854 was conceived by Lieutenant JOSEPH LORENZ of the Austrian Army. In 1862 this rifle was revised slightly, with a different "Enfield-Style" lock plate, and more consistent manufacturing. In 1866 after losing the Austro/Prussian War having faced the superior Prussian Dreyse needle fire rifle the search started for new revolutionary infantry weapon. This turned out to be the 1867 WERNDL rolling block rifle personally selected by the Emperor Franz Joseph. The question remained of what to do with the vast inventory remaining of the M1854 and M1862 Lorenz rifles. This was solved with the 1867 introduction of the WÄNZL conversion system that turned the Lorenz muzzle loader into a 14MM metallic cartridge breech loader and 70,000 transformations were undertaken. Very Scarce Find! PLEASE NOTE: NO SPERSTIFT (locking pin present)

Original Danish M1867 Remington Rolling Block Lot #822 (Sale Order 323 of 501) Up Next We Have an Antique Original Danish M1867 Remington Rolling Block, The Danes elected to license the Remington design for manufacture in Denmark at the Copenhagen arsenal, which they did in a fairly large quantity. The Danish model first utilized a rimfire cartridge and that stayed in service well into the smokeless era. However, with the adoption of the 8mm M1889 Krag-Jorgensen the need to update or abandon the Remington became acute. In 1896 they were withdrawn from infantry service, converted to centerfire cartridge and issued to coast and fortress artillerymen. At that time a new much longer rear ladder sight was also fitted to the rifles. This rifle features a 3.25" long backsight leaf. Left receiver flat is stamped with a Crown over the royal cypher over the mark M-1867. The right receiver wall is bare and the upper tang is marked Kjobenhavns Toihuus 1878 (Copenhagen Arsenal) I Believe This is Chambered in 11.7x51R. Bore is Excellent With Strong Rifling.

1893 Turkish Mauser 8mm TC AS FA ANK ARA 1936 Lot #828 (Sale Order 329 of 501) Up Next We Have a 1893 Turkish Mauser, Chambered in 8mm, Marked TC AS FA ANK ARA 1936 Model 1893's received a lot of modifications when converted to 8mm Mauser. It seems that the conversions were done in the 1930's at the Ankara arsenal. Obviously, a new barrel in 8mm Mauser was added or the old barrel bored out for 8mm. The receiver face was cut to enable the longer bullet to be loaded into the magazine. A thumbhole cut-out was made on the left side to facilitate stripper clip loading. Often, the magazine cut-off on the right side was removed. Sometimes, a flange was added to hold the hand guard. A hand guard with a retaining clip (clips on to the barrel) on the bottom is used when there is no retaining flange.

Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K11 Infantry Carbine 7.5X55 Lot #831 (Sale Order 332 of 501) Up Next We Have a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K11 Infantry Carbine Rifle Chambered in 7.5X55, Comes With Original Dust Cap/Sight Protector, Leather Sling, With Numbers Matching Magazine, Bolt, and Reciever. Overall Appears in Great Old Condition, Identical to the Model 1911 rifle in every way except for barrel and overall length, the Repeating Carbine, Model 1911 (K-11) replaced both the Model 1905 carbine and the Model 1889/1900 Short Rifle. Having been produced only 1/10 of an inch longer than the 1889/1900 Short Rifle, it was capable of firing the newer and more powerful GP1911 cartridge. The newer tangent sight was used on the carbine, but was graduated for the shorter barrel length. The Swiss at some point realized that its support troops, cavalry, and certain other units required a shorter rifle then what was currently available and so designed the Model 1911 Carbine. The Swiss 1911 Carbine being smaller, lighter and still lethally accurate, became a favorite of the Swiss Army and its popularity contributed to the design of its successor, the K31. It still rivals the K31 in popularity among modern shooters. They are also the last variation with the flatter mag plate which bench shooters tend to prefer, as well as the grooved Schmidt Rubin design bolt, and Bakelite charging handle. Produced concurrently with the 1911 Rifle, the 1911 Carbine replaced both the Short Rifle and Calvary Carbine. While production of the 1911 rifle stopped in 1919, Carbine production continued until 1933 with some 184,000 Carbines being produced.

Original British P-1885 Martini-Henry MkIV Rifle Lot #846 (Sale Order 347 of 501) Up Next We Have a Original British P-1885 Martini-Henry MkIV Rifle, But the Martini-Henry should more properly be called the Peabody-Martini-Henry as it is actually the Peabody pattern modified to a self-cocking hammerless design through the work (and patent) of Friederich von Martini of Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and the rifling design of Edinburgh gunmaker Alexander Henry (which rifling itself is a modification of Joseph Whitworth's work!) Overall This Old Rifle Appears in Pretty Good Shape Considering Age and Use. Strong Stock Marking Present, See Pictures. The great success of the P-1871 Martini Henry Short Lever Rifle had only been marred by the occasional difficulty experienced with the ejection of the spent cartridge from powder residue fouling the chamber. The solution was the introduction of the P-1885 "long lever" model that provided great leverage for case extraction. In front line service for only three years when it was superseded by the .303 cal P-1888 magazine Rifle the P-1885 Martini saw principal use in Britain's overseas colonial empire. Official documentation tells us that approximately 22,000 Pattern A MkIV Martini Henry rifles were ever produced, making this the most rare model of them all.

U.S. Springfield Model 1864 Trapdoor Rifle Lot #855 (Sale Order 356 of 501) Up Next We Have an Antique Model 1864 Springfield Allin Conversion Trapdoor Rifle, .50 Caliber centerfire rifle, Barrel Measures 36 5/8”, and Equipped With a Socket Type Bayonet, Leather Sling, and Rod. Trapdoor Marked 1866, Overall Appears in Great Old Condition. After the war, old firearms, like old soldiers, began to fade away. Formost among the former were muzzle-loading muskets. The 1865 Allin "Trapdoor" Conversion single-shot represented a new standard for U.S. military armament: breech-loading metallic cartridge rifles. Such arms fired ready-made metal cartridges that were fitted into a chamber at the breech, which was then closed by the hinged "trapdoor" bolt. The arm was now ready to fire, using a metal pin to strike the cartridge primer. These arms introduced an entirely new emphasis in firepower. Even though some were only single-shot, breechloading arms were much faster to reload than muzzle-loaders. Fewer men could fire more rounds in less time."

Pedersoli Mississippi US Model 1841 Muzzleloading Lot #867 (Sale Order 368 of 501) Up Next We Have a Nice Pedersoli Mississippi US Model 1841 Muzzleloading Rifle, Percussion, 33" Browned Barrel, Walnut Stock, .58 Caliber, and Appears in Excellent Condition and Comes in The Factory Box. The Pedersoli Mississippi US Model 1841 Muzzleloading Rifle is an nearly exact replica of the iconic Mississippi US Model 1841. The Mississippi US Model 1841 was considered the best looking ordnance long gun of the period. Manufactured at Harpers Ferry from 1846 to 1855, the Model 1841 originally came in 54 caliber, though many were later modified to 58 caliber. It was the first US military weapon made with percussion lock and no provision for a bayonet. An additional 75,000 muskets were produced by well-known companies such as Remington, Robbins & Lawrence, and Eli Whitney under government contract. Additional units were produced in limited numbers by Tryon in Philidelphia and Palmetto Armory in South Carolina. The 1841 was used by both North and South during the Civil War, and the nickname “Mississippi Rifle” comes from its use to equip a regiment in Mississippi during the war with Mexico in 1848. The Model US 1841 features polished brass furniture, browned 33” barrel with notched rear sight, case hardened lock and ramrod with brass tip. The lock is nicely marked with the Eagle stamp and “US” in front of the hammer.

U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle .45-70 Lot #930 (Sale Order 431 of 501) Another great oldie, This Antique U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle Chambered in .45-70 With Round Bayonet, This rifle Appears in Great Condition, Breach block marked U.S. Model 1884, The butt plate is marked U.S., and both barrel bands are "U" marked, Serial # 537950 Dates to OCT-DEC 1891. Look at The Great Cartouche Markings. VP Eagle Marked 32 1/2" Barrel With Open Front Sight, Great Collectors Piece! The U.S. breech loading Springfield "trapdoor" rifle was introduced in 1873 in .45-70 caliber. Basically it was the rifle the U.S. Army used to open the West and Springfield trapdoor carbines were used by Custer's Cavalry at the massacre at The Little Big Horn. In 1884 the integral Round Rod Bayonet was introduced, which could double as a cleaning rod,a development that met with very limited success. It was finally replaced in 1892 with the .30-40 caliber Krag bolt action magazine Rifle. Model 1884 rifles saw service in the Spanish American War. The regular army was issued the new Krag rifles and the guard units received the trapdoor. There are a number of stereopticon pictures that show guard units armed with of 1884 rifles. The Model 1884 round rod bayonet rifle was Springfield's third attempt at a rod bayonet system on a trapdoor rifle. They had used the triangular rod system on the Model 1880 and some Model 1882 rifles. The Model 1884 RRB rifle utilized a different, but no more reliable mechanism for retaining the rod. Because the small locking "fingers" are not clearly visible, the gun has been nicknamed "flatlatch."

Swiss Schmidt Rubin K31 Carbine Rifle 7.5x55 Lot #933 (Sale Order 434 of 501) Up Next We Have a Swiss Schmidt Rubin K31 Carbine (Karabiner 1931) Rifle Chambered in 7.5x55 and in Overall Great Surplus Condition, Matching Numbers, Imported by CAI. More From The Internet Below: The Swiss Schmidt Rubin K31 (Karabiner 1931) is a straight-pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5X55 Swiss, a round which compares closely to the .308 NATO round (7.62×51 NATO.) Military surplus ammunition is frequently loaded with a 174 grain projectile at a bit over 2500 feet per second, though rounds may be loaded from 130 grains (at over 3,000 fps) to 200 grains (2460 fps or more.) Contrasted to the Springfield, Mossin-Nagant, and Mauser K98 rifles which were contemporary to the Schmidt Rubin K31, all of those rifles used a locking system wherein the bolt is manually rotated by the motion of the bolt handle in an “up and back, forward an down” pattern, whereas the K31 is operated with a straight back and forward motion. This allows faster shooting in combat situations, with a less pronounced arm motion, which the Swiss may have felt was prone to give a soldier’s position away more readily.

Loewe Berlin GEW 88 Commission Mauser Lot #984 (Sale Order 485 of 501) Up Next We Have an Original German Pre-WWI Gewehr 88 Commission Rifle by Ludwig Loewe. This is a good example of the iconic German Gewehr 1888 "Commission Rifle", also known as the Gewehr 88, or GEW 88. It was made by Ludwig Loewe & Company in Berlin, the company that eventually become the famous Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken Aktien-Gesellschaft (German Weapons and Munitions public limited company), known more commonly as DWM. They were a major producer of weapons for Imperial Germany before and during the First World War. These rifles were originally chambered for 7.92mm Patrone 88 ammunition and had a fixed magazine. As with virtually all Gewehr 88 rifles in service, this example has the the tell tale "notch" cut into the rear of the receiver ring to accept the slightly longer spitzer-type S Patrone cartridge. This indicates that it was converted to take the 7.92×57mm Mauser S Patrone, and has an S stamped above the chamber, indicating the conversion. The Spitzer-shaped S Cartridge was ballistically superior to the M/88, however the chamber required modification to accept the thicker walled shell casing. It even retains its very unusual correct M-1888 cleaning rod with double slots, which were often lost or broken over the years. The left side of the receiver is marked Gew. 88 in German blackface type and also has serial number 597 on the receiver. Over the chamber it is marked LOEWE BERLIN / 1890. This Example Need Some Work or Rebuiling to The Bolt itself to be Functioning.
