This is the 4th auction from this estate. This is DEFINITELY an auction you will want to participate in as a collector or dealer. This is an ABSOLUTE online auction with bids starting at $0.00! There are 300 total lots and the timed online auction will last just 5 hours with items ending each minute beginning at 5PM, Sunday, February 19th. You can begin bidding now! Special Notes All sales are made through the Federal Firearms License of Freeland Auction Services LLC and not Proxibid.com. There will be a $15 paperwork/processing fee that will apply to the purchase of each firearm on the auction. Anyone purchasing a firearm will be required to pass a background check prior to receiving possession of the firearm. Full payment is required before any of the paperwork involved is started. If for any reason the purchaser does not pass the NICS background check, a non-refundable liquidated damages fee of $50 or 20% of total bid price (whichever is greater) will be charged and the balance of the purchase price shall be refunded in 7 days. All firearms must be picked up from Freeland Auction Services LLC by appointment only at 5868 Midland Rd, Freeland Mi inside the Freeland Antique Mall. Due to firearm regulations please call for rates and terms in regards to shipping firearms. Freeland Auction Services LLC can also package & ship to your FFL dealer if needed. Flat rate shipping will be added to your invoice if shipping is required or requested. All out of state winning bidders must have firearms shipped to their local FFL dealer. Heavy Octagon Barrel engraved: WM. BILLINGHURST ROCHESTER, NY. Lock marked : C.BAKER. Has a Popsicle Tang Sight and Hooded Front sight with Pewter Nose Cap. Billinghurst was renowned as a crack shot who usually won all turkey (Target) Shoots he entered. He became famous at Schutzen Park in Rochester where Sunday afternoon matches were held and Billinghurst usually won. Accordingly, his guns were highly sought after because of their accuracy. Another of his passions was Trout Fishing and his patented Billinghurst Fly Reels are also highly prized. He purchased Joseph Medberry’s Rochester Gun Making business in 1841. He apprenticed under Ephraim Gilbert of Rochester during the 1830s.

The Type 99 rifle Arisaka was a bolt-action rifle of the Arisaka design used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The chrysanthemum was at least partially ground off on rifles which were surrendered after the war, apparently as a face-saving gesture. Very collectible WWII firearm.
