Welcome to our Summer Firearms and Militaria Auction Lot #0 (Sale Order 1 of 328) Welcome to our Echoes of Glory Firearms & Militaria Auction! This online and live Proxibid auction will feature over 300+ lots of firearms, military collectables and other items from many eras and countries. Remember the auction is "as is/where is" with no returns allowed - please check out the multiple photos and description before bidding to know what you're bidding on. Call if you have questions. NOTE: Shipping "will" be expensive, not because we jack up the price, but because all the carriers are continuing to raise their prices. Typically, our shipping staff only charge $10 added on top of the postage fees (depending on the item) to cover labor and shipping materials. Our shippers also group items together to save as much money as possible, when possible. Please note that items being sent cross-country, that are over 52 inches in length when packed, ammunition and items that require an adult signature or insurance will incur extra shipping fees by FEDEX or USPS. If an order sells for a final value of $5,000.00 or more, special shipping arrangements may be necessary for insurance reasons (Overnight shipping, picking up at a shipping location, or shipping multiple items in separate packages). Also, our buyers premium is now 19.75% - but Proxibid gets 5% of this (plus a $500 setup fee) and the credit card processing company (ATG pay) approximately 4.5%...leaving us with 10%. Lots of Premium items in this auction, bid early, bid often, bid high and good luck! *Please note, we do not dissemble consigned firearms to inspect condition or numbers matching. All statements as to matching numbers or condition relate to what is readily externally visible. Please note we do not ship internationally. Please note: This is not an item, and is only listed for informational purposes, please do not bid on lot 0.

Essentially a first year production revolver produced in 1874, it has mother of pearl factory grips and is all-matching. The LeMat revolver is one of the most iconic weapons of the Civil War, standing out as a combination Revolver/Shotgun, this weapon was popular among Confederate Cavalry and high-ranking Generals (Major Generals Braxton Bragg, J. E. B. Stuart, Richard H. Anderson, Captain Henry Wirz and General Beauregard). LeMat Revolvers were produced in France and smuggled into the Confederacy by Blockade Runners during the Union's Naval blockade. Its estimate that around 2500 were smuggled into the south during the war. The bore has some pitting, but rifling is present. The shotgun barrel has some pitting. The action appears to function properly, though the loading lever is missing. The finish is patinaed, with less than 10% original finish remaining. All observed parts numbers are matching. An iconic and extremely rare revolver.

RARE Evans Repeating Arms 44 RF Rotary Magazine Lever-Action Carbine - Antique - no FFL needed (RM1) Lot #110 (Sale Order 112 of 328) One of the most unusual yet least known rifles of the 1870’s was the Evans repeating rifles and carbines. Designed by a Maine dentist named Warren R. Evans. Together with his brother George who helped perfect the design they started the “Evans Repeating Rifle Company” of Mechanic Falls Maine in 1873. The most unusual feature of the Evans was its magazine capacity. More than double the capacity of the Winchester. It held an astounding 34 rounds in its rotary magazine. Approximately 500 old models were produced. Of these the very first (estimated serial numbers 1 to 200) have no cocking lever retaining stud on the underside of the magazine tube. Old models made after these have a stud or a locking nut to hold the lever in place. This particular piece is the round barrel carbine with a published production number of 150 units. Based on a survival rate of 50%, there are approximately 75 of these left on the planet! The company received numerous testimonials from its customers. One of the more colorful ones came from Kit Carson who claimed “At twenty paces, have, with this rifle, shot the eyebrows from my wife, and every night regularly, in the presence of an audience I shot an apple from her hand, a pipe from her mouth, a penny from her fingers, or snuff a candle from her hand. I think the Evans is the safest and most complete repeating system ever devised.” Testimonials like this were great advertising and highly sought after by all the arms companies. The action appears to function properly. The bore is in good condition with strong lands and grooves. The metal surfaces are in good to very good condition for its age. The markings on the top of the barrel are faint but readable. The wood is in good condition with a crack on the right side of the lower buttstock. Buttstock has a few dings in the wood. Handguard is in very good condition. Missing screw on right side of buttplate.

Rare & Desirable Whitney Kennedy .44-40 Caliber Lever-Action Rifle - Antique - no FFL needed (RM1) Lot #111 (Sale Order 113 of 328) Here we present an antique Whitney Kennedy Lever Action Rifle in .44-40 WCF, made circa 1884-86 at the Whitneyville Armory in New Haven, Connecticut. The Whitney Kennedy was the next iteration of the Whitney Burgess Rifle which was designed by Andrew Burgess. Somewhere around 1879 to 1880, Samuel V. Kennedy and Frank W. Tiesing redesigned the 1878 Burgess rifle to accept the popular .44 Winchester Center Fire cartridge. Production was short-lived with only about 15,000 of all variants of rifle and carbine from 1880 to 1886. Serial number for this rifle is 323! The most distinctive visual feature of these rifles was the unique “Burgess” serpentine style of lever that was used until 1883. Just like the Winchester 1873, this rifle would have been a great companion to a Colt or Merwin Hulbert revolver in the same caliber. The overall condition is good+. Robust action. The bore is dim with good rifling. Solid stock overall, containing less than average wear. Original patina. Here is a trusty alternative to the Winchester of the day, the Model 1873.
