1956 Chevrolet 210 Lot #47 (Sale Order 44 of 98) When this car was new it was involved in a bank robbery, the police confiscated the car. It was then donated to a school auto shop in Nevada where it was used for the students to learn auto mechanics. It spent approximately 35 years at the school, in the early 1990’s it was purchased by Sam Gianino of Detroit, Michigan with just 700 miles on the odometer. Sam made a career out of Drag Racing and professional engine building. He built high performance engines for many professional drag racing, Nascar and Boat racing teams. He was building around 200 engines a year while professionally drag racing his own drag car. Over a 23-year period Sam set 26 NHRA records, 10 IHRA records and won approximately 200 local races and points meets, in 2007 he was inducted into the Michigan Motor Sports HALL OF FAME. He built this car for the street and to show his customers how one of his 595hp Big Blocks could be street able and reliable. He took this car to many shows and cruise-in’s. It currently has just 7,200 miles on the odometer and is just as beautiful as the day he finished it. This 56 Chevy has a great history and was professionally built. It is a true street machine that will certainly surprise the car next to you and has the looks to win the local car show.

1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback Lot #58.2 (Sale Order 56 of 98) This is an original California car and is absolutely rust and rot free. Belly pans still have most of the original under coating. The car has had one older repaint and looks great. From everything I can see it’s never been in any accidents and has all original panels that came on the car. The interior is all original and in great shape. The drivers seat has a small hole in shoulder area. Stereo is Bluetooth and it does sounds good. There is one tiny hole in the headliner and other than that is excellent. The rear seat is equipped with the very sought after camping hinges.
Front suspension has been gone through with all nos German ball joints and all new bearings and races. Brakes front and rear have been gone through with all new everything, rotors drums pads shoes ext. Rear suspension has been gone through also with new axle shafts and all new bearings in the control arms.
Transmission is in perfect working order and still has original gold coating. All shifter joints and bushings replaced and an Empi short shift spacer added to the shifter.
The engine is original to the car and number matching. It was completely rebuilt from bare block by Pat in Loveland Co. We used as much nos fuel injection parts as we could get our hands on including trigger points, injectors and other miscellaneous fi components. The car runs perfect as it should with Fi. Complete fuel system was gone through, tank pulled and cleaned as well as the lines. New fuel pump and filters.
New rims and tires recently put on. The roof rack has a custom oak slat cross section that I made. I also have a pine set of slats and the og aluminum slats too. I have driven the car around quite a bit but never in any type of weather and she is garage kept. The car isn’t perfect but is amazing and doesn’t need anything. It could use a piece and part replaced here and there to make it perfect but again it doesn’t need anything.

1963 Corvair Convertible Lot #82 (Sale Order 76 of 98) 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible
Until the 1950s, most American auto manufacturers made one size car: large. Imports from Europe such as Volkswagen, Renault, and Fiat showed that there was a market in the U.S. for smaller cars, mostly as a second car or an alternative for the budget-minded. Led by General Manager Edward N. Cole, Chevrolet designed a revolutionary new car. It was powered by an air-cooled horizontal six-cylinder engine made almost entirely out of aluminum. The engine was mounted in the rear of the car, driving the rear wheels through a compact transaxle. Suspension was independent at all four wheels. There was no conventional frame; it was the first unibody built by Fisher Body and the styling was unconventional for Detroit, subtle and elegant, with no tail fins or chrome grille.
This Monza Corvair has a higher performance engine, which means it is a mid-performance model. The overall car is showing in very good condition, mechanically sound, and true to the 1963 model. The repainted exterior in candy red from a few years ago is in good condition with no rust or denting. This is a well optioned model, and it's a convertible with a new top.
Exterior
A repaint of Candy Red presents in good condition. Very few if any chips are present throughout an all-steel body, but mostly unremarkable. Chrome and brite-work, with original badging, are all there and correct, with gaps that are straight and true and there is no rust seen. The headlights and lower bumper are all good, as is the Corvair badge in front. The white convertible top is new and has a clear plastic rear window. Tail lighting utilizes chrome rings to highlight the red and white rounded taillight and backup lighting. A clean rear bumper is below and under this are 2 nicely preserved rear roll pan vents and dual chrome exhaust tips. When the top is down, a red tonneau boot covering is present. Optional, Corvair wire wheel coverings are wrapped in stock sized replacement Maxxis MA-7 (P185 60R 13) white wall tires.
Interior
A swing of the driver's door reveals a new red interior. Door panels are new red vinyl with various panels in smooth and horizontal and vertical stitched ribbed centers, a new red armrest, and shiny actuator and window crank. Some horizontal trimmings break up the different vinyl panels, and polished buttons adorn the stitch crossings. Two large reupholstered red vinyl buckets in like new condition stretch across the front, and a large, reupholstered bench is shoehorned into the rear of the car. The buckets have some tuck and roll inserts and smooth bolsters, as does the rear bench. The dash automatic shifter sits within ergonomic reach of the driver, and in front is the full metal jacket dash in mostly original condition. It shows in a body matching steel dual eyebrow dash top with the pattern aluminum instrument panel with a wide speedometer and ancillary gauges for this Monza edition. On the passenger side is a matching glove box door under the second body color matching steel eyebrow. Deep pile new black carpeting covers the floors, additionally red and black “coco matts protect daily soiling. What a great new /reconditioned interior.
Drivetrain
Mounted into the rear is the horizontally opposed Aluminum 6-cylinder 145ci engine. On top we cannot miss the chrome single air cleaner housings in all its glory, and all this is attached to a rebuilt and serviced “Power-glide” 2-speed automatic transmission and is fed fuel by dual 1-barrel Rochester carburetors. The rear axle weighs in at 3.27 ratio. All clean and nice in this engine bay, as is the same for the texture sprayed front ''trunk''.
Undercarriage
As expected from a car of this age and having been driven, just surface dirt and patina are seen. A ground effects type undercarriage is smooth; the GM engineers did a great job designing it (no driveshaft!) Everything presents in excellent condition, right down to the 4-wheel independent coil sprung suspension (first car ever with this) and 4-wheel drum braking. A dual “trumpet” style exhaust system featuring chrome tips, producing an excellent sports car sound.
Drive Ability
America loved these cars as they were totally out of the norm for the early 60's. Everyone in the 60’s era has memories or a story about the Corvair. On the test track it ran like a champ, handled like it was on rails, and had bias free panic stopping. The top went up and down and did so very quickly. It was a great experience and made me feel like it was 1963 all over again.
