by Brothers' Ink, LLC
Event Begins: Tuesday,  August  22,  2:00 PM Pacific
First lots ends Sunday,  September  3,  3:30 PM Pacific
Last lot ends Sunday,  September  3,  5:34 PM Pacific
There are some fun forgotten comics, mostly from the 70-80s, but we do have some keys and silver age and high grades mixed in. We also have some choice cuts from Marvel and DC Comics. Some Issues Include: Star Wars Superboy Justice League of America Kamandi Fantastic Four Spider-Man Punisher and more! If we feel the item is graded between 7-9 it will get a HIGH GRADE in the description. If we feel the item is graded between 4-6 it will not get anything in the title or description, we feel it is of average or Mid grade. If we feel the item is graded between 1-3 it will get a LOW GRADE in the description. We have many Low Grade comics in this auction~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (A Moment about LOW GRADE - when we post a comic as this, Brothers Ink believes these comics to be of a low grade, but we are not professional comic graders, so please examine pictures closely to make your own determination. The comic may be torn, missing pieces or pages, may be water damaged, or just really really old. But in any case, WE HAVE PUT THE DAMAGED COMIC IN NEW PLASTIC AND MAYBE ADDED A BACKER BOARD TO TRY AND PROTECT IT FROM ANY DAMAGE IN THE FUTURE. The comic is included in the auction simply because we feel it to be of some value, either as a low cost filler for someones collection or because the comic is rare and hard to find at any grade.) Please examine the High Res Photos to see full details. We try and be as accurate as possible and give you useful information about condition and description of the item as possible. Also, you can email us at auction@brothers-ink.com, if you have any questions! Thanks!

Lot #141 (Sale Order 141 of 250)

Low Grade. Key 1st Cameo Appearance of Star-Stalker. 1st team Appearance of the Priests of Parma. Origin of Mantis and Libra. At the conclusion of last issue's blockbuster battle vs. the Zodiac, Libra made a surprise announcement: "I am the father of Mantis!" Wow, what a shock to the Avengers and Mantis too! Libra says he met Mantis' mother during the First Indochina War. And after a local crime lord, Monsieur Khruul, attacked his home, he gave his daughter to the Priests of Pama to be reared. Is this fact of fiction? Either way the Swordsman isn't waiting for answers! He jumps in a quinjet and makes a beeline for Saigon to confront his former boss! But that turns out to be a disastrous idea. By the time Earth's Mightiest Heroes arrive in Vietnam, the Swordsman has been defeated and forced to talk about Mantis' upbringing! The vindictive monsieur and his minions go to the Priests of Pama's' temple and the killing begins. The frustrated Avengers once again arrive too late, but as shown on the chilling two-page final panel, battle is coming to Earth's Mightiest Heroes next issue…and coming in spades! Origin of Libra. Partial origin of Mantis. Cameo appearances by the Zodiac and the Star-Stalker. First 25¢ issue. Avengers Lineup: Black Panther, Iron Man, Mantis, Scarlet Witch, Swordsman, Thor, and the Vision.
