Wood carved wall hanging- Haus Wachenfeld- with swastika Lot #42 (Sale Order 42 of 361) This looks to be a hand carved wall hanging showing great detail. No initials or distinguishing artist marks found. "Haus Wachenfeld" was built in 1916 for a banker named Winter, as a vacation cottage (his wife's maiden name was Wachenfeld). It was a modest house, with only one large room and a kitchen on the main floor. Through his half-sister Angela Raubal, Hitler rented this house in 1927 for 100 Reichsmarks per month (some sources say in 1928), and he secured the rights to purchase it in 1932. He bought the house in June 1933 for 40,000 Goldmarks. After his election as Reichskanzler he commissioned architect Alois Degano to remodel the house, first with a sunroom added to the front (where there had been only an open front porch), a garage with a terrace on top, and additional out-buildings (later the Berghof Adjutancy). The major modifications were completed in mid-1933, with further small changes in 1934.

This pistol retains 95% original condition with only blue wear occurring only to the rails and grip straps of the gun. The gun has a 4” barrel and wooden grips show crisp and high checkering. The pistol comes with 2 magazines and a deep brown leather holster. Both mags are matching serial numbers to the gun. The one in the pistol is marked 25xxd and E/83, the other mag is marked 25xxd, +, E/83. Beautiful holster with no loading tool and on reverse is marked “GEBRUDER KLINGE, DRESDEN, 1936 , Drooped Winged Eagle/WaA142. No doubt, collection worthy.

Mauser Military “G” Date S/42 9mm Luger w/Holster Lot #155 (Sale Order 156 of 361) Great example of a late “G” date Luger represented by the Eagle/63 double stamping on the right side of the receiver with the early Eagle (dropped wing) German Army proof. The secret date code for 1935 was the “G” and was applied to the chamber. This pistol shows light holster wear to the high edges and shows some light wear of use along the rails. The straw and blue are very strong on this gun and the internal parts correspond to the strong condition of this pistol. The straw is excellent on this pistol and it probably saw little if any use in it’s life. The magazine is numbered to the gun and is bright metal with no blue. Mag is marked 13xxe, Eagle/63. Pistol is serial number 13xxe. Has a 4” barrel and great wooden grips. The black/brown leather holster has silver studs and has no extra mag or tool. Reverse of holster is marked “BERLIN 1936” and has the German Army early acceptance stamp. Very nice Luger!
Estimate 3500-6500 |
