"Classical Gas" Commemorative Guitar - Mason Williams Signed, #3

Classical Gas is a guitar based, instrumental song released by Mason Williams in 1968. It reached the Top 10 of the Billboard charts and went on to become one of the most popular instrumental songs played on the radio and media throughout the late 20th century. It won 3 Grammys in 1969. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the song, in 2007, Foggy Mountain Guitars teamed up with Mason Williams, the writer and performer, to create a replica of the instrument he recorded the song with at that time. Mr. Williams asked for modifications to the neck profile and electronics were added. The label is signed by Mason Williams and it is #3 of a planned 1968 edition. It is doubtful more than 50 or more were ever created. Includes original hardshell case. Note the wiring from the tuner to jack has come unattached inside the guitar. Everything works, but wire needs to be glued or secured in body of the guitar.
