HIGHLIGHT 6" x 6 1/2" 4-Sided Susquehannock Washington Boro Incised Face Effigy Vessel, Restoration This is a fantastic vessel and extremely rare (4-sided vessels are more uncommon than 2-sided). This Piece has been expertly restored (approx. 1/3 of the piece). The restoration encompasses about 1/3 of the rim into the top portion of the same body side (see pictures for specifics). Additionally, 1 face effigy is completely restored, the others have restoration to the very top portions. The Very top of the rim was damaged and was restored (less than 1/2"). The rest of the vessel was simply glued back together. This was from the Stoner collection of Washington Boro, PA. Found in Washington Boro, Lancaster Co., PA. Ex: Bineac Collection.

For example, the majority of the inside has a coating to assist with stabilization (can be seen where there was small amount of re-cracking of pieces after the restoration on the rim).
