Tsuba in bronze with black finish and gilt highlights inlaid, a scenic depiction of a wise elder under a willow tree and youth. Single Seppa spacer. Menuki in matching fashion designs with a black and gold highlighted depiction of a leaf with zoomorphic creature. Fuchi in bronze with black finish and gold of a samurai in the ocean. English Civil War Dog Lock Pistol, 17th C. Lot #2 (Sale Order 2 of 355) Rare English Civil War Dog Lock flintlock pistol. 17th century. Barrel octagonal to round with a poof mark to the left side reading (EK). Exposed spring firing mechanism with a dark brown wood stock. Replaced ramrod. Size 23" L, Barrel 17 1/8" L Extensively used during the 17th century by the Royalist and Parliamentarian cavalry of the English Civil War. Many engagements of the war where cavalry played a key role in the battle. Cavalry wearing lobster tail helmets and cuirass or breastplates would use this form of pistol.

Popularized during maritime use by Spain a so-called "Caribbean Cup Hilt" because some were partially made in the colonies. This example with a horn handle lightly turned with horizontal craving to the grip. Short length with a wide set of quillion and a typical round bowl with D shaped guard. Early Inlaid Nepalese Kora, 17th C. Lot #32 (Sale Order 32 of 355) South Asia, Himalayas, Nepal, early example of a Kora with characteristic (elephant ear) blade inlaid to it's forward section with four brass inset circular decorations, stippled and inlaid to the ricasso and back in an intricate and innumerable group of red inlaid squares and triangles surrounded by geometric patterns with faint signs of worn etching to remainder of blade. The top of the blade is wrapped with a brass fitting, circular iron crossguard and a red felt with twine grip between another circular iron disc below the pommel. Pommel pierced to its base and of a turned series of circular shapes. Size 27 1/2" L, blade 19 1/4" L. Condition: Fine with wear to all components typical for age and use. French XIII Model 1811 Calvary Pistol w/Napoleonic Era Percussion Conversion Lot #91 (Sale Order 91 of 355) Percussion conversion with a light wood body with brass trim. The Model 1811 pistol was used extensively by the French military during the Napoleonic Wars (early 19th century). The pistol was developed during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte as a replacement for the earlier flintlock pistols used by the French military. It was designed to incorporate advancements in firearm technology, including the use of percussion caps to ignite the gunpowder. The standard caliber for the Model 1811 pistol It saw service in various campaigns, including the Peninsular War, the Russian Campaign, and the Waterloo Campaign. After Napoleon's defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, the Model 1811 pistol remained in use with French military units for some time. Embossed with a raised central ridge of noticeable protrusion, low shoulders sections, and a well formed belly. Struck with a makers mark to the center of the breastplates lower Fauld above a large brass rivet. All original oversized brass rivets approximately 30 in total. Lot #109 (Sale Order 109 of 355) Engraved war shield of the Kalam Clan with raised geometric bands in a zig zag pattern on the shield. Carved from a single piece of wood and with two holes for a strap to the center. An interesting war shield that was used by multiple warriors one with the shield pushing forward and the other with bow and arrow to launch protected assaults from the cover of the large shield. With the advent of firearms the shield became ineffective and most were retired or traded after their extended life and use in battle. Size 37 1/4" H. Chinese 'Scholarly Objects' Footed Bowl, Late Qing Dynasty Lot #316 (Sale Order 316 of 355) Chinese, Late Qing Dynasty 1644-1911. Guangxu Period, Bowl is heavily pitted and intricately enameled with treasures and scholarly object with foliage boarder to footing. The base has a Stamped 6-Character seal mark Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi - (1875-1908). Peoples ware. Iron red stamped seal script mark. Probably Guangxu period. 10"W x 3"H porcelain dish. Provenance: Wong collection, Los Angeles, CA, US, Mr. Wong was a Hong Kong government translator and court interpreter and amassed his collection in Hong Kong during the mid-1900's-1978.
