It is highly original down to the factory Bridgestone SF-406 steel belted all-season tires and dressed in dealer installed 15”...... chrome wheels. The original owners, Clifford and Rose Marie Morrison traded in their 1955 Chrysler New Yorker to purchase this T-bird on 11/12/62 from Russell-Winters Ford in Columbia, PA. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, tilt-away steering wheel, outside mirror, rear-seat speaker, tinted glass, fender skirts and knock-off wheel covers. It retains all of its factory-applied paint (except for the passenger side rear quarter panel which has been repainted). Run Day - Friday May 30, 2025 In August 1940, Corbitt Truck Company of Henderson, North Carolina, was awarded a contract to develop and manufacture 250 trucks for World War II. Due to escalating production requirements in late 1941, the War Department engaged White Motor Company of Cleveland, Ohio, to assist in expanding production. Among a very limited number of surviving examples, this exceptionally rare featured 1944 Model 666, designed by Corbitt but manufactured by White, was discovered in Mt. Olive, North Carolina, in 2011. Following five years of comprehensive research, procurement of authentic components, and meticulous restoration surpassing original specifications, the truck was presented at the 2016 annual Corbitt reunion and show in Henderson, North Carolina. Powered by an 855 cubic inch Hercules HXC L-Head engine, this vehicle also incorporates a Fuller 4-speed manual transmission and a Timken-Wisconsin 2-speed transfer case. It was recently operated for over 35 miles without incident. It is further equipped with an amidship-mounted 30,000LBS Garwood Winch, period-correct hand tools, jerry cans, and a copy of Wheels of Times in which it was a cover feature.
