VanDerBrink Auctions is pleased to bring you the Roger and Darlene Lambert Classic Car Collection Auction. Darlene saw the young man that lived next door with the cool car, a Desoto that he had restored. Roger went off to Korean war and they kept in touch by writing letters. Roger came home from the war with Darlene waiting. Roger and Darlene were married in 1964 and started their lives’ adventure. Together they started a successful Kennel service, Lambriar Kennels and Lambert Vet Supply. They brokered puppies of various breeds all around the world and built a reputation of excellent service. With the success of their business, they were able to travel the world and that DeSoto started their classic car collection. Darlene and Roger went to auction all over the United states and bought what they liked. They say, every dog has its day, and when Darlene and Roger saw the car they liked, it was its day, and they bought it. It was hard to go to an auction and not turn down that car that was begging to come with them. Cadillacs, Imperials, Chevrolet, Ford, and more. There wasn’t a car that they didn’t like. Roger started to have health issues. Family is important to Darlene and Roger. Roger took each of their children and grandchildren and they together picked a car. Roger Passed away and Darlene has decided to sell the remainer of the collection. If you ask Darlene how long they were married, she will answer, “60 years, 8 days, 6 hours, and 5 minutes.” Their story is a love for each other, family, and to them, the cars were part of the family. Darlene and the family want you to plan to come to the auction and bid online if you can’t come and celebrate this collection in Nebraska.
