Has its original 7" diameter cast iron turntable with its spring loaded locating pin and original felt. The motor bedplate, speed control and brake all have their original nickel plating which are lightly oxidized with some minor wear and are in overall good condition. Has its original winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Has its original all brass 15-1./2" long horn and elbow with an 8-1/2" diameter bell all in good original condition which is lightly oxidized throughout. The cabinet measures 9" W X 10-1/4" D X 5" H. A very nice example of a hard to find rare machine. A good honest survivor.

Rare Zonophone Eclipse Disc Horn Phonograph

This is 1 of only 3 known examples! This rare and unusual machine in its elaborate dark Flemish oak cabinet has its original finish and decal. Is in overall good condition with some finish wear on the top motor board as well as several open corners near the base. The boards on the bottom of the cabinet have shrinkage cracks and are a bit loose and in otherwise good condition. Has a universal talking machine marked concert reproducer. The reproducer, tone arm. horn cradle, and lower support bracket all have their original nickel plating in average condition with the usual wear. The unusual cast iron bedplate has its original speed control and brake all have their original nickel plating that is well worn in fair condition. The cast iron bedplate bears the word Zonophone as well as Cyrillic writing which verifies that it is most likely of European origin. Has its original winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Has its original 16" long black and brass horn with a 8-3/4" diameter brass bell. The horn body has its original black paint and elbow. The bell, body, and elbow are all in good original condition with a few minor scrapes and dings here and there as well as some spots on the bell, The Zonophone Eclipse is a machine about which little is known. The cabinet and works suggest it was connected with models sold by the International Zonophone Company in Europe circa 1905. Cabinet measures 11-1/4" X 11-1/4" X 6-1/2" H. A good honest example of a hard to find machine. Also, the backside of the trifold Zonophone bard dance advertisement seen in Lot #1134A suggests American origin for the Eclipse, "EV Bryant, Syracure N.Y. Records and Phonographs".

The rear support bracket has its original black paint and pinstripes in average condition. The original 10" turntable has its oversized center spindle. Has high quality older reproduction winding crank. Motor winds and runs however is a bit sluggish and is in need of lubrication.. The combination speed control/start stop device is broken and is in need of repair. Has its original 14-1/2" long 8 panel steel horn which is 17-1/2" in diameter at the large end. This incomplete machine in its oak cabinet has been stripped of its finish with care to preserve the original decal. The cabinet is in otherwise good condition. The machine is missing its reproducer. Has its original tone arm however it has been painted black and has a small dent. The back bracket has its original black paint and pinstripes in good condition. The decorative cast iron bedplate has its original speed control and brake all of which has been wire brushed clean with most of the nickel plating remaining. Has its original 9" cast iron turntable with replacement felt. The motor turntable spindle is slightly bent causing the turntable to wobble and drag on the brake. Has its original stained glass features all nicely in tact in good condition. Has its original correct lower front panel however most likely from a different piano and is unrestored. The instrumentation features piano, mandolin, bass drum with tympani effect, snare drum, cymbal, triangle, metal orchestra bells and wood block. This piano is in playing condition and has evidence of an older restoration. Also included are 6 recut rolls,one on the piano and 5 are loose. Piano measures 60-1/2" T X 61" W X 30" D. This impressive Zonophone Grand Opera front mount machine with its unusual oversized auditorium horn set up in its handsome oak cabinet has its original finish and decal in overall good condition. Cabinet features a beveled glass panel for viewing of its powerful motor as well as a celluloid dealer tag from California. The original finish is in overall good condition with a few minor nicks and scrapes here and there as well as a chip in the base molding at the lower left front. See photos. The four corner columns are nicely in tact and the cabinet is nice and tight. As previously stated this machine is fitted with a oversized auditorium horn set up which consists of a Zonophone marked long throat reproducer and a 29-1/2" long traveling arm, horn cradle, lower support arm extension with a floor support to prevent tipping all of which is attached to the original decorative cast iron lower support arm. All of these previously described parts have their original nickel plating in good condition with some minor pitting and wear here and there. Interesting observation that the decorative lower support arm has been notched to accommodate 12" records. This modification appears to be original. The ornamental cast iron bedplate has its original speed control and brake all of which have their original nickel plating with the usual wear, has the original 9" cast iron turntable with original felt and spring loaded locating pin, has original winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Also included is an all brass 43" long oversized auditorium horn and elbow with a 20-1/4" diameter bell. The horn is tarnished inside and out with some verdigris spots as well as a few minor dings and wrinkles, is in overall good condition for size and age, Cabinet measures 16" W X 13" D X 7-1/2" H.. This impressive machine with its rare accessories most likely for dance hall or auditorium use is truly a remarkable find. It would make it easier for the Victor company employee "jobber" to carry the brass horn from job to job, whether used for a barn dance. tent revival or political rally. The unusual transit case is made of tin plated steel, the outside of case has blue paint in fair condition as well as a carrying handle, inside of the case is tin plated, rather clean and at one time would have had a fitted hinged steel cover at the large end which is missing, has a few dents and wrinkles, but is in overall good condition. Measures 46" long and 20" diameter at the large end. *Note this carrying case is a perfect companion for the Zonophone Grand Opera phonograph (Lot #1035).

The rear of the cabinet is fitted with an original cast iron Cygnet support bracket. Has older high quality reproduction horn support rods and suspension. Also included is a ten panel Cygnet horn with faux wood graining inside and out. The horn is in excellent condition, The faux wood grain finish has been completely redone with exceptional artistry. Presents very well and is historically accurate in both color and style in the wood graining. New Edison decals have also been applied, Horn measures 26" t X 19" D. A handsome addition to any collection. Cabinet and cover measure 9-1/2" X 13" X 11" T.

The upper mech and bed plate have their original black paint and pinstripes however both are quite worn and dirty and could use a good cleaning. Has its original cast iron winding crank with a clumsy wooden knob but comes with a correct reproduction wooden knob. Also included are a horn ensemble which consists of a tiz-it flexible horn connector in good condition, an original horn support shoe and top support clip, the horn support rods are a marriage of original lower support rod with a shop built top support rod. Also included is a 31-1/2" L X 19" in diameter 10 panel steel Edison horn has its original black paint, pinstripes and decals in good condition however the inside of the horn appears to have been repainted and the pinstripes retouched in places. Cabinet measures 13" L X 9-1/2" W X 12-1/2" T. Also included are 15 Edison 2 minute wax cylinders in original cylinder boxes with covers. Both cylinder covers and boxes in various condition. Some better than others with the usual wear on the boxes. Some mildew. Also included are 5 empty cylinder boxes without covers.

This machine is missing its top cover. Has an automatic reproducer with a good stylus. Carriage and mandrill move freely, The mandrill is tarnished and has peeling plating. The upper mech and bed plate have their original black paint which is well worn with some peeling and rust in fair condition. Both metal tags that are attached to the upper mech and bed plate are present with the nickel plating having been worn through and are showing brass. Has a desirable original square drive cast iron winding crank with the National Phonograph metal tag attached.. The motor winds and runs. Also included is an original folding floor horn crane support which has its original black paint with peeling paint and rust. See photos. Also included is an original 32-1/2" L steel cone shaped horn which is 12" diameter at the large end. . Has its large original hanging bale. This first style top wind motor winds and runs. Has its original 14-1/2" long black and brass horn with a 9-1/2" diameter brass bell. Has an original wooden tone arm with its original hardware in fair condition with some rust. The lower front support bracket has its original nickel plating in good condition. Has its original winding crank and bullet break. Has a threaded center spindle and is missing its record hold down. Motor winds and runs. Has an original 15" L black steel horn with a 10" diameter steel bell. The paint on the bell and body are in fair condition with some wrinkles and rust. See photos. Has an original leather elbow which is attached with 2 tiny screws on the small end of the horn in fair condition. This horn and elbow are the right size but are from a different machine. This attractive first style machine in its oak cabinet has its original finish in overall good condition with some minor wear here and there. Has all of its corner columns which are nicely in tact as well as the cabinet corners are nice and tight. As appropriate with a first style machine it has a pre-dog Victor ID tag. Has a Victor marked long throat concert reproducer in average condition with some minor wear. This machine is fitted with a desirable Victor oversized horn ensemble which consists of an original 20" L wooden tone arm which has its original finish and hardware all of which are in good condition. Has its original cast iron lower support bracket with the addition of the oversized cast iron extension bracket both of which have their original nickel plating in average condition with the usual wear. Has its original winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Also included is one 10" grand prize record and a reproduction record hold down. Has 27" all brass long horn with 13" diameter bell in average condition and lightly tarnished with a few dents and wrinkles here and there. See photos. The small end of the horn is fitted with a reproduction leather elbow. Cabinet measures 13' X 13" X 6" T. A first style machine such as this with an oversized horn ensemble is not often seen and a welcome addition to any collection.

Side wind box starts, stops, and changes or replays tunes properly. 124 note comb has no chipped or broken teeth. Solid mahogany case has a paneled lid and hand cared front with a pull out drawer holding 3 cylinders. It measures 40.5" wide, 10" deep, 13" tall. The matching table has a hand carved front and cabriole legs with carved knees. A pull out drawer holds 5 cylinders. The table measures 48" wide, 26" deep, 30" tall. The finish on both the box and the table is original and in VG condition.

The original cast iron lower support arm and thumb screws have been wire brushed clean with none of its original plating remaining. Has its original slotted winding crank. Has its original cast iron turntable and felt in fair condition. The brake assembly appears to have been replated and the motor winds and runs. The original 15" long black horn with a 9-3/4" diameter zinc bell both bell and body have their original black paint and pinstripes with several dents and wrinkles on the bell with some paint loss. See photos. However this horn is incorrect for this machine. There is a reproduction leather elbow attached with two small screws to the small end of the horn. Has an older high quality reproduction horn support in good condition. Also included is a rare hand painted 32" L ten panel Edison Standard horn which is 19" at the large end. The inside of the horn features hand decorated white and pink flowers that resemble roses with green leaves on a bright blue background with gold pinstripes. This is an above average example of a very rare Edison horn in great condition with a few minor dings and wrinkles. Large Hand Painted Phono Advert Elroy WI

Due to the size of this item we require customer pickup or 3rd party transporter only. This large hand painted sign was originally mounted to the side of a building in Elroy, Wisconsin. It advertised Edward Dunzey Edison Phonographs & Records. Dunzey (b 1878 d 1950) owned and operated a music store in Elroy for many years. It burned down in the early 1930's. It is hand painted on tin with a wood backing and frame and depicts a couple in their living room listening to their Victrola. This in itself is odd because he is advertising Edison and the phonograph in the painting is clearly a Victor Victrola. It is in overall VG condition with the expected scuffs and scratches but no peeling paint. It was originally screwed to a wall but now has a cable for hanging. This piece came from the Jeff Young collection. It should be noted that small reproductions of this sign sell on eBay but this is the original. Measures 72.5" tall, 49.25" wide.

Edison Model C-2 Radio Phono Combination

Due to the size and weight of this item customer pickup or 3rd party transporters only. Late in the 1920s, the Edison Company produced a series of combination type radio-phonographs. The C-1 was the most expensive model, and is extremely rare today. The C-2 was designed for the upper middle class and contained an electric turntable and an RCA radio. Existing examples of this scarce radio phonograph, which was made for only a few months before the Edison Phonograph company closed in 1929, are thought to number in the dozens. This C-2 might be the nicest original example out there. The phonograph works well including speed and volume controls. It uses replaceable steel needles on an electric pickup tone arm. The radio turns on and hums but does not seem to be receiving a station. It might just need an antennae hook up.The cabinet is nice original walnut finish on fluted legs. Contains 4 original record albums behind 2 hinged doors with teardrop pulls. Power cord has been replaced with a period correct silk wrapped cord. Comes with a reproduction operating manual and other items. Don't miss this beauty. Measures 49.25" tall, 28" wide, 17.5" deep.

In overall good condition but, the neck has a repaired crack, the screws are missing from the tuning racks, the nut is missing, the tailpiece screws are missing, and the pick guard is missing. There is a 3" old crack on the top to the right of the hole The neck is straight, and the finish is pretty good. Comes with a hard shell case. Some TLC and you will have a wonderful instrument.

Large Antique Swiss 8 Air Cylinder Jacot Music Box

This large impressive cabinet featuring a crossbanded king wood and inlaid with satin wood stringing line and with Ebonized trim. The lid finely inlaid with a musical trophy in varicolored fruitwood within an oval. There is some loose and damaged trim on the top cover as well as nicks, scrapes and dents and some finish loss mainly at the base of the cabinet. See photos. It has 2 large decorative carrying handles. Inside the top cover is a copy of the original tune card. The original tune card is present and has been laminated for safe keeping. The glass dust cover appears to be a replacement. The lever wound two spring mechanism features a 17-1/2" L cylinder approximately 2-1/2" diameter. The mechanism has its original nickel plating is a bit dirty in average condition. Combs are a bit dirty with minor surface rust with one visible broken comb tip. The mechanism winds and runs but is a bit temperamental when starting and stopping and is in need of some adjustment. The tune indicator is missing its pointer hand.. The mechanism also has a zither attachment which is missing its pad and has been moved out of the way and no longer functional. The case dimensions are 34-1/2" L X 15-1/4" W X 10" H. This machine in the right hands after proper restoration could be a great treasure. Also included is an appraisal from February 1985 most likely for insurance purposes.

Has its original paper Regina trademark inside the top cover it is slightly yellowed with some staining. Has its original lock and key. The single comb mechanism has evidence of having been professionally serviced and is in overall good condition. There are no visible broken comb teeth or tips. Has its original winding crank, it winds, plays and starts and stops as it should and sounds well. Also included are 15, 15-1/2" Regina discs of various titles in average condition with some rust. Also included is a matching oak base cabinet which has also been stripped and refinished and is in overall good condition and presents well. Cabinet features highly figured quarter sawn oak front door with raised panel. The cabinet has most of its original interior which was originally fitted with 13 dividers however only 7 original dividers are present and 6 are missing. Has its original cabinet lock and key. Machine measures 21" W X 18-1/2" D X 10" T. Cabinet measures 23" W X 21" D X 34" T.

Unusual Italian Fiber Horn For Portable Disc Phono

One is an all brass 14" L with a 7" bell which is lightly tarnished with some corrosion and a few minor dings mainly near the small end of the horn.

Cylinder Phonograph Flower Horn

The horn is made by TT Company. The base color is black with white flowers and green leaves hand painted on the inside of the horn. Although the horn has considerable dents, the painting is still in relatively nice shape. The horn has come apart in 2 pieces and needs to be resoddered. However, the painting on the inside is nice enough to make it a realistic project. Measures 22" x 30".

Oak Mills Violano serial number 1797. Good restoration candidate. It has its original violin which is market Mills Novelty Company on the paper label inside the violin. There are no strings present, otherwise the violin appears to be in good condition. The tuning weights and arms are present but appear to be reproductions. Oak cabinet has original front bifold doors and beveled glass and hardware, One of the front columns is missing a capital - see photos. Has original coin mechanism. The coin box and front cover are older reproductions. The sounding board appears to be in good condition with no visible cracks. The cast iron harp is free of any cracks, the piano action appears to have been reconditioned as well as the piano having been re-strung some time ago. The oak cabinet appears to have been professionally refinished. There are several minor nicks and scrapes and some veneer damage on the edges of the top cover. The roll-frame motor/generator and governor are all present. The contact roller is also present, but detached. It appears to be missing one of the pin ends. Edison Tinfoil Phonograph Replica

This is an exact replica of the first experimental talking machine built by John Kruesi from a rough sketch given to him by Thomas Edison on November 29th, 1877. Kruesi was Edison's head machinist and was responsible for translating Edison's ideas into working models. He built the model from left over pieces from other experiments. Edison's first recording, "Mary had a little lamb..." was recorded on December 6th, 1877 using a piece of tin foil that had been wrapped around the brass mandrel. Edison filed for a patent on his "Phonograph" on December 29th, 1877. This replica is one of 12 built in 1966 by Paul McGilvery for the founding members of the Early Talking Machine Club of America. This particular example was owned by Larry Donley and displayed with his collection at Donley's Wild West Town in Union Illinois until 2020. It comes with the set of full scale plans that were used to build the 1966 replicas. The plans are copies of the 1929-30 drawings from the Edison Labs in Orange NJ. Also included are 2 photographic copies of Edison's original sketches of the "speaking telegraph" and the "Phonograph", and 9 pieces of original tin foil given to Larry Donley directly from Edison's Menlo Park laboratory.

The weight of the reproducer has been modified by the addition of a lead weight.. This unusual modification was most likely to achieve greater volume. Also included is an original15" L all brass horn with a 7" Diameter bell. Has mostly original horn support set up however the main curved support rod appears to be a reproduction. Also included is an original Edison Standard 10 panel blue painted steel horn. This rare Edison horn features pink peonies with green leaves on a blue background. The inside of the horn is in average condition with a few minor scrapes here and there. Carriage and mandrill move but are stiff and are in need of some lubrication. There is some minor pitting and corrosion on the mandrill. The upper mech and bed plate have their original black paint, pinstripes and decals in good condition with some minor wear however there are 2 holes drilled and tapped on the top of the upper mech and most likely had a repeating attachment at one time but it has since been removed. Has its original cast iron slotted winding crank and motor winds and runs. Has an original 2 piece horn support which is mounted to the rear of the cabinet and is in fair condition with some rust. Also included is a 32" L 11 panel after market hand painted steel horn which is 22" at the large end. The horn features pink roses with green leaves with a chartreuse background. The painted horn is in overall good condition with some minor dings and scrapes mainly on the outside of the horn and is In good condition considering its age. The upper mech has its original black paint and pinstripes in average condition with the usual wear. Is missing its winding crank and the motor appears complete however it has a broken spring. It does not wind or run. Also included inside the cabinet are 2 original Edison pamphlets which are oil soaked in fair condition . Also included are several other carriage parts which are not from this machine. The rear of the cabinet has an original cast iron Cygnet horn support bracket which has been fitted with an after market adjustable horn support . Horn support has its original nickel plating with some pitting and rust. The horn support is incorrect for this machine. Also included is a 31" L 11 panel after market hand painted steel horn which is 22" diameter at the large end of the horn. The horn features white peonies with green leaves on a black background. There is some minor flaking of the white paint as well as some scratches on the peonies. The outside of the horn has its original paint and pinstripes with a T T Co decal. We've been informed that this attractive table lamp with its stained glass shade and decorative base is possibly a Lamb Brothers and Greene of Nappanee, IN. It's in overall average condition. The shade features an abstract floral design with mostly pastel green tones with abstract flowers of various colors. See photos. The shade has several minor cracks here and there but in otherwise good condition Shade is constructed in lead/foil method and is hexagon in shape. Measures 16" diameter X 8" T. All of the lead / foil is nice and tight and in good condition. The base has its original brass finish with some wear in overall average condition. Base is constructed both of cast iron and brass. Has its original unusual adjustable shade holder and pull chain socket. Has an older replacement cord. As with all vintage electrical devices we recommend rewiring. Both shade and base are unmarked except for '1820' on bottom of base. Base measures 7" D X 21-1/2" T.

This unusual Columbia marked reproducer appears to be a modified Columbia long throat disk reproducer however it appears to have been professionally modified with its needle chuck removed and the addition of a nickel plated cross bar which contains a 2 minute cylinder stylus. This unusual modification was professionally done for some unknown application. The reproducer is in overall good conditi0on with a good stylus however the sensor cord is detached from the diaphragm. Also included is an original wooden box which is missing its lid. An early phonograph oddity. You be the judge.
