Includes two different chime tunes – silent and chime settings, and a 29 1/2 day hand painting moon dial. Its nine tube are each signed "Walter H. Durfee & Co.Providence R.I." includes patent number - see close up photo. (Walter Durfee was the first and finest to gain a patent for grandfather clocks in America). The clock chimes on each quarter hour and strikes the hour. Face is signed Tiffany & Co. The artistically hand carved mahogany case has a beautiful carved top bonnet. The sides of the hood and case feature beautifully carved Corinthian columns and beveled glass front and side windows. There are opening carved fretted doors on eachside of the hood. This clock has been serviced cleaned and maintained by a Master Clock maker and is in great working order. Keeps great time. Dimensions: 101"H X 25"L 17"W. Circa 1890s.

They nicknamed her the "Serpent of the Nile" and movie studios encouraged her to discuss mysticism in interviews. This soliette became her calling card and later she had hand made custom earrings made to match with similardiamond accents. these pieces were purchased from the Ginger Rodgers estate and come with documentation letters of authenticity from one of the estate agents who handled them approx 5 years ago after her passing.

Guuiard and Co. of Paris inApril 1888. The price was 60 pounds 9 schilling. (Approx $520 at that time, when a good Colt cost $19, the most expensive engraving on Winchester's was $125 and a nice home in Arizona would be less than this price at that time.) These barrels shan old English refinish which is starting to patina and approx90% remains. The action has gone to silvery gray and show very finely engraved banknote scrolls with vignettes of dogs on each side of frame and game birds on bottom of action.The engraving is light under the refinish on the trigger guard. The stock measures 13 1/4" from the front trigger to the end of the wood. 14 1/4" to the end of the pad. The stocks have been lightly refinished but carving and checkering are still

The butt plate and frame retain traces what appears to be factory nickel plate as does the fore end cap, the barrel and magazine chute shows 50-70% toning original blue. There is some scattered erosion, slight pin prick pining, minorscratching, and normal metal age. the markings are sharp, the edges crisp, stock lightly refinished, probably when a professional gun smith checkered the stock long ago. Most likely during period of use. No factory letter at time of cataloging,action good, bore good. A combination of interesting, desirable, and researchable features. This rifle belonged to an old time rancher from the Verde Valley.

Made especially for famous western film star Tim Holt, with bridle, breast collar, tapaderos and corona. This letter from Danny Lang, president and chairman of the board, Edward Bohlin Company,11/28/1967, to our consignor, whose name is engraved on the back plate of the saddle and authenticates this saddle and the accessories and an additional letter from Sally Hollar, General Manager of Bohlin, dated 11/20/1987 mentions theunique round skirts on this saddle whereas the Tim Holt model skirts were customarily square. The saddle and accessories remain in fine to excellent condition for their age and the saddle shows exceptional carving. The Bohlin plaque is mountedin the center portion of the seat. Tim Holt was one of Hollywood's top ten box office starts from 1941-1943 and again in 1948-952. He is best remembered as the younger partner to Humphrey Bogart in "The Treasure of Sierra Madre" (1948).He made 75 movies and his career lasted over 40 years.

Howard Hughes "Boat Tail Speedster" Car This is a chance of a lifetime to own a car that was built f Lot #700 (Sale Order 106 of 630) This is a chance of a lifetime to own a car that was built for and owned by Howard Hughes, the Aviator! The car was just recently being displayed at a National Auto Museum in Auburn, Indiana and just won the "Concours D' Elegance"for People's Choice in Auburn, Indiana. The car has also been displayed at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in Oregon with pictures next to the one and only "Spruce Goose". During a complete frame off restoration, a credit card dated 1936 from acompany named C.D. Rand & Co., was found with Howard Hughes Signature dated from 1936. The company that issued the card was a general tube and tire dealer that also sold batteries, etc. Much like a modern day Les Schwab Tire Shop thatissued it to Howard Hughes for store credit. The credit card goes with the car when sold. The restoration of this car was a frame-off and has just been done about 12 months ago. This car started out as Howard Hughes personal 1936 Lincoln K model V-12 Limousine. Hughes converted the car shortly thereafter into his custom version of what a 1936-7 "Boat Tail Speedster" should be. The frame shows 50-70% model case hardening. There is aninteresting series of brand type letters stamped on right side of frame which may be a "Lazy 6 L-1" which appears to be a brand. The grips are very good+ and fit impeccably, the hammer shows 50-70% smoky case hardening, the action is tight, thebore is excellent. Interestingly this revolver is serial numbered on frame and backstrap 338184 and trigger guard is also matching with number on inside of 338184. this variation is desirable as it is in the period of time when Colt was movingthe numbers beneath the grips and few original specimens are known with 2 outside and 1 inside number which is proper in this range. No factory letter at time of shipment but probably went with this interesting brands. A great pre-war.

Top standard corner irons have been added prior to 1982. Apparent wheel work was done prior to 1982. Entire vehicle has been repainted and reupholstered in 1983. Storm curtains are missing. Has original rear boot and front boot leathers. Yellowstone Park Transportation Company was the first owner. Sam McElhaney, Wellton, AZ., purchased the wagon from Floyd Schnert of Mancos, CO. on 5/2/82. Faint paint on rear boot reads,Royal Palms Inn, 66. Possibly Royal Palms Inn, Phoenix, AZ, Route 66. Name stamp on front bound iron reads, J.A. Gervais (Abbot Downing Co, blacksmith) Serial number is stamped on front boot heel board iron. On both drive seat quarterpanels, the number 3 was painted on the original coat of paint. Both were then painted over and the number 18 was painted on the second layer of paint. The revolver is masterfully engraved and beautifully inlayed in Helfricht style and replicates the "Sears Gun" perfectly. The gold inlay is superb with near flawless execution. Therevolver is pitted with magnificently made double carved ivory grips with steer heads and medallions. (Note: The Sears Gun had pearl but the collector who ordered this gun preferred ivory like General Patton). The revolver is full royalblue finished and excellent as restored. Blade is a semi-spear point measuring 4 1/4" and the knife is 9 3/4" overall when unfolded. The blade has been tipped and sharpenedand shows some wear but generally good. The mounts are good to very good and show scrolls at top with slogan "Liberty and Union" and pommel cap shows Liberty cap, stand of arms, American Eagle with Union shield. The grip scales are good andwould be very good except 2 small chips missing at the top of rear pins. An exceptional knife which would improve with small restorations.

Sharps Mdl 1874 Cal .45 SN:159774 with copy of factory letter shipped to S.H. & G. Co. of New York, Lot #722a (Sale Order 139 of 630) with copy of factory letter shipped to S.H. & G. Co. of New York, Jan 1878, 30" octagon barrel, double set triggers, 9 lbs 12 oz, Hartley and Gramm were jobbers and many of their rifles were shipped West. The rifle shows a large silver blade front site which is oversized, standard rear site, good metal surfaces drifted to brown, weathered and worn wood stocks with some chips and losses and butt plate purposefully removed as was the Indian tradition. The markings are good,action tight, bore surprisingly excellent. A rifle that saw use on the Frontier and was probably shipped West. Sold by Auction Productions at this location for noted collector John Kopec nearly a decade ago. By our recollection it had some oralhistory as being found in a cave and carried by Indians. No documentation to this effect.

The pair are approx .60cal with 9"barrel, full stock, attached ramrod, 14 1/2" overall. The pistol are in very to near fine condition with most of there English tobacco brown striped barrels, tracing of case hardening gone to gray on locks, patina finish on trigger guard and mounts. German silver butt caps with iron inserted cap boxes. The case is lined in purple velveteen in English Partition style and originalflask, mold, rods and small tools included. The case is good to very good condition other than slight damage were one pistol fired its cap and damaged the lining in the lid. The exterior of the case is brass bound deluxe mahogany. A very highquality set from the famous Manton Family considered the premier 19th century London gunsmiths. Just the type pistols a English officer would have carried to the colony's for his defense and could serve as duelers if he wasinsulted.

This 1st year production Cavalry was made in 1873 with Kopec letter stating in his opinion it was issued to the 6th Cavalry. He further documents: 1. The ejector assembly is a 3rd type replacement. 2. The base pin is a modern replacement. 3. Blemishes have been "smoothed" on underside of bbl when housing was missing. 4. The front of trigger guard has been filed slightly making "A" faint. 5. Ejector screw hole has beenbushed. 6. The hammer is an 1880s replacement. 7. The grips show no number but appear correct. In conclusion, Kopec states "A very respectable representation of a US Cavalry 1st year Revolver which saw considerable service during the IndianWars. We could find no attempts at purposeful fakery on this example." Note: Some of Mr. Kopec's long letter has been summarized and a copy is available to perspective buyers. The original condition is good with the above noted minordefects. The Colt shows a patina finish with slight traces of finish where protected. Some light cleaning and minor pitting. The revolver falls between 5846 , an Indian turn in, and 5843, a Cavalry revolver from the Crow Agency. 2). Kopec states, lot six from which 7th Cav. Revolvers drawn. 3). Subject revolver shows a Colt 1860 backstrap and altered grips with unnumbered trigger guard. 4). The revolver has been professionally refinished. 5). Hammer rollermissing. 6). Toe of grip repaired. 7). Firing pin replaced. 8). Barrel address buffed off when refinished. 9). Barrel stud modified or replaced. 10). Base pin replaced. 11). Front sight reduced. 12). Cylinder is spare parts replacement R.S.C.never numbered. In his text, Mr Kopec states that the grip modification was done by one of the ordinance departments armories. The revolver remains in fine to excellent condition as refurbished with 95-98% old arsenal type re-blue.The action is tight, the bore fair to good. The grips good as repaired on left toe. This "Artillery" shows an arsenal type full blue finish and the following characteristics: 1. Barrel is a very early type #337 with "A" and "P"markings and number is in the correct far forward of base pin placement. 2. Frame shows last type US stamp probably struck through case hardening #140045 R.A.C. stamped. 3. Early ejector rod housing, bullseye ejector rod head. 4. "P" oncylinder traces of last 3 digits of original #058. O.S. on back of cylinder. 5. Trigger guard stamped 9171 "A" inspected for Ainsworth. 6. Backstrap shows H.N. Henry Nettleton inspection. Backstrap shows O.K. marking in area where serial#'s are normally stamped. 7. The grips fit well and show faint traces of cartouches on both sides. The revolver remains in very good condition with 50-70% old Military type pasty blue finish drifting to browning with a small amount oferosion and surface pitting. The grips are very good and would be near fine except some damage and small losses at the butt and toe area, marking good, action good. The rear sight is standard type and there is a sheard marked blade sight in front dovetail. The frame shows 10% original blue drifting to silvery grey patina. there are some numerals lightscratched into the butt and the butt shows a light patina matching to the plate. The action is good, the markings are sharp, and the bore is bright and the rifle is above average overall with very good wood stocks.

Interesting American Indian Bow with Quiver and arrows. The bow measures 47 1/2" and is nicely paint Lot #764 (Sale Order 185 of 630) and arrows. The bow measures 47 1/2" and is nicely painted and decorated with doe skin wrapped center for grip and quill work trim. The quiver measures approx 18" from end to end and is from heavy hide probably moose or buffalo with fur trim and wood bands with rawhide type stitching, Indian tanned, decorated with geometric and pictorial with pine trees at center. The wood bands also show Sinu wrap. We would date this authentic Indian made ensemble from 1900-1940s and have had different opinions of the area of origin from Oregon eastward in the Northwest to Minnesota and the Great Lakes region to Indian made arrows, one with trade steel tip still retained are included and arrows are Sinu wrappedwith feather quills. Very interesting artifact that need further research from a local estate.

Grip scales made of fiberglass and select hardwood with aluminum spacers and brass mounts and shows a high degree of quality and workmanship throughout. One of two possibilities on this knife; either an American viewed similar knives buts of crude quality in the Philippines and attempted a US Patent of this knife, or this may have been the forerunner of this style butterfly knife. Colt 2nd Mdl Dragoon 44 Percussion SN:10375, Showing US Property marks and inspections, brown patina Lot #832 (Sale Order 256 of 630) SN:10375, Showing US Property marks and inspections, brown patina finish, wood grips. this Dragoon is one of the latest 2nd models known and probably saw service during the Civil War. The Dragoon shows a brown patina finish with light toheavy scattered erosion and pitting, the heaviest pitting occurs on the cylinder top and right side of barrel. The barrel address is visible, the frame markings completely visible, all matching serial numbers except rammer which is 346 and iscorrectly inspected with a "B" as are most of the major parts and was a period war arsenal change in the same shipment. The grips show 7 notches on left side, 4 notches on right side, possibly for battles or kills. There are 2 large chips missingfrom each toe, the action is good, the bore is surprisingly very good and still shiny and the wedge matches, the pitting on this revolver was the type associated with blood and a good specimen of a 2nd model Dragoon which saw action.

The rifle retains 20-40% blue mixing into a brown patina, some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting, mostly toward themuzzle, some fresh rust that may clean. Good Colt markings on left of frame, good caliber and address markings on BBL. The rear sight has been changed to a handmade period buckhorn in the original dovetail. The stocks are good with somesmall imperfections, normal aging, slight wear to checkering on forend and a couple of small losses at the edges. The action is good, the bore is good and may clean to very good or better. A better than average example of a Western Frontier-eraColt rifle.

The Pony express Museum in Arcadia was founded by William Lyon and housed some themost important Western Historical artifacts known by collector tradition. This relic was a gift to a close friend in the 1950s and may be researchable in the many articles and books written about this well known collection.

Condition: Very good to excellent showing approx. 98% military finish with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" stamped under the barrel, various inspector stamps including "RIA" on the bottom right side of the frame, rampant colt on the left side of the frame under the hammer, flaming bomb at top of left grip, and onthe bottom of the right grip. The USMC stamping on the butt looks correct however this gun is not in the usual serial number range for the Model 1909, possibly a later arsenal change. No factory letter accompanied this military New Service fromthe consignor.

The silver is fully hallmarked and measures approx 16 1/4" H and the pair weighs approx "155 oz" in total silver only and are Approx 2300 - value of scrapweight only. The Cobalt Blue glass lines are blown and handmade. The hallmarks show JR in shield, pin-shield cross, 5-pointed star and the letter S, all in small shields. The condition is fine to excellent, dated circa 1910-1930s, theyare in the traditional Nouveau to Art Deco style.

Loaded with cork screws, button hooks, multi blades, punches and other useful implements. Approx 20 different blades andaccessories packed into an extremely small size and of fine quality throughout. Blades unmarked but best guess is of English manufacture as it has their characteristic tweezers. The grip scales are only fair with cracks and small losses. Theblades show some erosion and pitting but the entire knife is very restorable and worthwhile of a project. 2)Pen knife marked "Pacific" showing two blades. Body measures slightly over 2 1/4" when folded. With original case.
