Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted features, slightly-parted lips, porcelain teeth, pierced ears, original brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Marks: Tete Jumeau (red stamp) 7 (incised). Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'honneur (body. Excellent condition, original body finish with few typical flakes. The doll is wearing her original Jumeau chemises with "Bebe Jumeau" red silk banner, rose knit stockings, rose silk hair bow, leather shoes signed Paris Depose 7 with bee symbol, and presented in her original labeled box. Jumeau, circa 1895.

An outstanding pair of German porcelain half dolls as ballerinas attributed to Kister $900/1300

11 (28 cm.) overall (excluding marble stands). 4" to waist. Each is waist-up porcelain figure of adult nude lady with shapely bosom and waist, elongated throat, arms posed in elegantly outstretched manner, having brown sculpted hair with dainty tendrils of curls framing the face and chignon at the back, painted facial features with slightly smiling expression, wire-framed wrapped armature with original ivory satin and net costume, and posed upon white marble bases. The dolls appear identical at first, but there are variations in the hair ornaments; one has a stand-up gilt hair comb and a sprig of flowers at the side, and the other has a gilt hair comb more closely fitted to the head and without flowers. Excellent condition. Attributed to Kister, circa 1910, very rare and exquisite.

Remnants of the original label are preserved on underskirt, and the doll is presented in her original box with an illustration of the doll and detailed directions.
