Vintage Mercury Clock With Spacecraft in Orbit as Second Hand Lot #59 (Sale Order 66 of 476) A vintage Mercury-era clock measuring 5.5" tall, 4" deep and with a 4.75" diameter face. All the parts are there but needs a little work. It does run when plugged in, meaning the Mercury spacecraft orbits the Earth as the second hand, but the face does not light up into a blue space glow. Additionally, there is a crack in the heavy plastic at the top, but it can be pressed back into position and held with glue. Otherwise quite uncommon.

This set is for the emblems worn by the manned crews, and Gemini 3 and 4 did not have an emblem so they are not included. Complete with certificates and booklets describing the medallions. Twenty-One Early Signatures From Group 4 and Group 5 Astronauts Lot #180 (Sale Order 190 of 476) An 8.5"x 11" sheet of paper with a Gemini 7 cartoon, and signed by astronauts selected in Group 4 and Group 5 - authentic signatures and not copies. From Group 5, the following have signed the sheet: Givens, Duke, Swigert, Roosa, Weitz, Evans, Haise, Worden, Carr (may be printed on), Mitchell, Brand, Engle, Lousma, Pogue, Bull and Lind. Only Irwin, Mattingly and McCandless have not signed. From Group 4, signatures include Schmitt, Garriott, Michel and Gibson. Only Kerwin has not signed. There is also an extra signature of Deke Slayton. Twenty-one signatures in total. The sheet has been folded vertically in half, has age fading, and has seen time in a three-ring binder (three holes). Excellent group of signatures however.

Apollo 11 LC-39 Commemorative Plaque Mold Lot #224 (Sale Order 234 of 476) A plaster cast, originally from the collection of the designer of the plaque, of the bronze rendering of the three Apollo 11 astronauts on the plaque unveiled at Launch Complex 39 on the fifth anniversary of the mission in 1974. The plaster cast is the exact size and shape of the actual bronze on the plaque and is very possibly an intermediate step in the process of casting the actual bronze. It measures approximately 5"x 5" not including the base. This casting comes with three photos showing the finished product. There is a small scratch on the front but otherwise great shape.

It is the final page of the CES (Control Electronics System) section of the manual (numbered page "25" on front, and "26" on the essentially blank reverse).

Saturn V Auxiliary Propulsion System Checkout Unit Lot #277 (Sale Order 289 of 476) A 13"x 12"x 9" rigid box assembly case containing an APS valve simulator. This ground test kit was utilized for pre-flight testing/operational check of the Saturn V Third Stage (S-IVB) Auxiliary Propulsion System (APS). The kit was interfaced to each of two TR-204 Attitude Control Engines and one SE 7-1 Ullage engine and simulated the actuation of the quad-redundant propellant solenoid valves which regulated fuel/oxidizer into the engine injectors. Used at the time and still good shape.

Lunar Module RCS Heater Assembly in Package Lot #278 (Sale Order 290 of 476) An original Lunar Module RCS heater assembly from Grumman complete with its original Grumman packaging, and also stamped with the words FLIGHT ITEM. The label bears the date 7/67 and the NASA/Grumman LM contract number of NAS9-1100. The heater assembly is sealed in the packaging, but measures about 4" across. I have provided a couple pictures of an identical heater that has been removed from its packaging.
Two of these electric heaters encircled each of the 16 Marquard R-4D Reaction Control System (RCS) engines on the Lunar Module to control propellant temperature by heating the combustion chamber the and the propellant solenoid valves. An infamous Apollo 15 cover flown to the lunar surface and brought back to Earth. It is signed by the crew and is number 152 of 300 and comes with a certification card signed by Irwin's wife. Additionally, a copy of the NASA inventory list for the 300 covers is included. This lunar surface cover is completely certified authentic; first, with a sworn-notarize crew-signed affidavit detailing the moon cover's flight history, and with an accompanying insert flown cover verification card signed by an Irwin family member. Included also, never before made public, is a the aforementioned copy of an official government inventory manifest of all the lunar covers that were impounded by the U.S. federal government for more than 10 years.

Flown Apollo 17 Lunar Module Contingency Checklist, Signed Lot #335 (Sale Order 347 of 476) Formerly belonging to Apollo 17 Commander Gene Cernan, this 8" x 5.5" checklist page (from the "Apollo 17 LM Contingency" manual) was flown to the lunar surface during the man's last moon landing in Dec. 1972. The page is from the "Modular Activation" section of the manual (numbered page "2-31" on front, and "2-32" on the essentially blank reverse). The page is further flight certified by Capt. Cernan, who has inscribed and signed it "Aboard During Last Lunar Landing - Gene Cernan".
Buyer will also receive a data CD (with all documentation of provenance, certification of chain of ownership, as well as scans of every page in the complete manual), and a signed COA from the consignor detailing the page's content, and acquisition and signing history. Excellent condition.

Skylab Space Station Storage Locker Prototype Lot #362 (Sale Order 375 of 476) A lightweight and what I believe to be a storage locker intended for Skylab. It is a prototype made while NASA tried to determine the best configuration for Skylab lockers, and this design seems to be one that was rejected. It measures 40" in height, 18" wide and 11" deep. No nameplate data or identification marks present further point to the fact that it was a prototype. Nice condition and of course quite rare. I have provided a few Skylab photos with characteristics of this locker clearly shown in the background.

Flown Piece of Skylab Debris in Lucite Lot #363 (Sale Order 376 of 476) A flown piece of Skylab space station debris about 2" in length displayed in a 4.25"x 2.5" lucite. Also inside the lucite is a photo of the larger piece this came from. The lucite has been dropped a few times in the past and has chips on the bottom and a fracture inside. The lucite is also somewhat browned from being in the sunlight. Still a great display item however.

Heavy Wooden Space Shuttle Model Signed by Musgrave Lot #364 (Sale Order 377 of 476) A heavy wooden model of the Space Shuttle standing 12" tall on a 5.5" square base, and weighing almost 2.5 pounds. It is signed on the base by astronaut Story Musgrave with a full signature. The wood is quite detailed and has been worked to a high shine. Since this is a cut piece from a original larger piece, only a copy of the NASA paperwork is provided. The NASA removal paperwork reads in line 4 "TLP01-9-07-0144". The '9' indicates Challenger (OV-099). The '07' is the mission Challenger was being readied for when this blanket was removed, meaning it definitely was flown on its 6th mission, which is STS-41G. It very probably flew on a couple of Challenger's previous missions as well.
