Through the Firs, his most sought after eagle print, climbed to the top of our North American Top 50 Best Seller list in record time! Parker takes time to create his paintings; it takes hours to render the feathers and hairs of his subjects. Using a palette of pine greens, soft browns and misty grays, Parker's palette is neutral enough to work in a variety of settings. Framed in a barnboard frame, Parker's prints fit into any rustic setting. Born, raised, and still living in British Columbia, Ron Parker is recognized as one of the top wildlife artists in North America. His original acrylic paintings are avidly sought after. Ron spends many hours hiking and photographing his subject matter. A full time artist since 1978, Ron has had several successful one-man shows in both Canada and the United States - (SEC-MR)

She first studied with her portrait-painter mother, before beginning more formal studies in 1968. Her work is commercially oriented, sentimentalizing her paintings of Native Americans of the Crow tribe. Cross' Crow name, "Alawa-sta-we-ches," means "Travels the Good Road." She currently (2003) lives and works in Montana.- Penni Anne Cross began developing her artistic talents in 1968 when she began actively pursuing art as a career and not just a hobby. She had been living among the Crow Indian Tribe and spent a great deal of time painting this proud people. In 1978 she was adopted into the Crow tribe as a member of the Whistling Water Clan. At this time she was given her Crow name "Alawa-Stawe-Ches" which interpreted means "Travels the Good Road". Today her desire is to document a significant chapter in the proud history of her people; to capture the Crow culture as the old traditional ways blend with the new influences from a younger generation that has renewed pride in their tribal identity. She achieves this desire in her pastel and oil portraits of Crow men, women and children.- (NWC-MR)
