The brown leather stretched over a good frame with harness, stirrups, and belly band intact. The fully covered stirrups have a wooden core surrounded by leather. Shield shaped plate on back of the saddle notes "11-1/2" Seat" on wooden saddle horse.

Unusual Child's Western McClellan Saddle Lot #334 (Sale Order 25 of 134) DESCRIPTION: A fine small child's Western McClellan saddle consisting of saddle, two wooden strips and cotton belly band with fine steel and iron mounts. Unmarked. The saddle is displayed, and sold with, an unusual tripod stand. PROVENANCE: The saddle is accompanied by a copy photograph of a 19th century cabinet photograph of a young boy in a late 19th century U.S. Volunteers uniform. The young man is said to have been the owner of this saddle.

Lancaster County PA German Folk Art Side Saddle Lot #335 (Sale Order 26 of 134) DESCRIPTION: A very fine Pennsylvania German decorated leather side saddle probably produced in Lancaster city (Lancaster County), Pennsylvania. There are a small body of these saddles that were all produced in a number of shops in Lancaster County possibly for use as part of a woman's dowry. This example with finely tooled and polychrome tulips on the skirt. This example dating from the mid-19th century and in very good condition. The original calico under-fabric still intact. Unmarked. PROVENANCE: Exhibited in the 1970's by the Heritage Center Museum of Lancaster County.
