Very early Israeli Military Kevlar Airborne Helmet - Defense Forces Model 1976/85. The helmet's exterior shows a series of paint coatings, wand the interior has the web suspesion. Various Israeli markings inside, including a hand-drawm 35th Para Brigade patch design. The 35th brigade was created at the mid 1950s when the commando Unit 101 was merged with the 890th Battalion (the IDF’s Airborne Commando unit) in order to form an elite infantry brigade – essential for recon and commando actions. It is in good overall condition and a large size.

The unique HK cocking lever allows the P7M8 to be carried safely with a round in the chamber, yet it is ready to fire by the intentional squeezing of the fingers around the grip. A nice German WWI-II era Mauser M1914 .32 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol with "Crown U" proofs. The pistol is in very good condition with Siamese markings added to the front strap. The family of the owner says he picked it up in Thailand while working a the US Embassy during the Vietnam War. One of our experts contacted his Thai counterparts and said they were military identidy numbers. And interesting pistol needing more research. Bore is good. The grips have been sanded smoth and it has a plastic-bottomed magazine. Bore is fair to good, it is "Germany" import marked and it appears the serial numbers match.

A very early Imperial Japanese 1663 Dated Katana Samurai Sword produced and signed by "Joshu Horikama Ju Fugimaria Kuni Hiro". a 15 point swordsmith. It is in a resting case as brought back by a US Navy Lt Commander in WWII. Blade has light salt and pepper pitting and needs polishing, but the temper line is visible. Edge has a few light nicks and the very tip of the blade is blunted. 28" blade, 36" overall. A rare sword worth polishing...

An early Imperial Japanese 1867 dated Katana Samurai Sword produced and signed by "Kurihara Chikuzen No Kami Nobutaka" a 20 point swordsmith who made swords from 1861 to 1866. It is in a seam-separated resting case as brought back by a US Navy Lt Commander in WWII. Blade is clean except for light tarnishing and has a fairly active temper line. Edge looks nick free. 29" blade, 37" overall.

A WWII Imperial Japanese Katana Samurai Sword produced and signed by "Kaneshige Minbo" with a Showa stamp. It has non-military fitting, menuki and tsuba, but has a military leather cover. Wrap has separated near tsuba. It was bought back by a US Navy Lt Commander in WWII. Blade is clean except for light tarnishing and has a nice temper line that starts very active at the base but goes straight toward the point - very unusual. Edge looks nick free and is very sharp. 30" blade, 39" overall.

It has a WWII grip and sheath with a military leather cover. It was bought back by a US Navy Lt Commander in WWII. Blade is heavily pitted, but does have an active temper line. Edge has some nicks, but is still sharp. Our experts say the blade can be polished out. 15 ' blade, 25" overall.

RARE Imperial Japanese 1300s Dated Nagamaki Naoshi Samurai Sword

A super rare Imperial Japanese 1300s dated Nagamaki Naoshi Samurai Sword probably produced from an early Naginata. This are highly collectable and very desirable in nJapan. It was bought back by a US Navy Lt Commander in WWII. Blade is scratched but you can see the temper line. Edge has some nicks, but is still sharp. It comes an an 1850s era resting case covered with the name of the family that surrendered it and an "appraisal" describing the sword. Our experts say the blade can be polished out. Blade is 32" long with an overall length of 41". Interestingly, it comes with a Imperial Japanese 2600th Foundation Medal that was attached to the sword's resting case. A rare sword both here and in Japan!

It is missing the loading lever, the wrist of the stock is cracked in several places and loose, the bottom tang is cracked and the top-strap has been period repaired. Action tries to work, but is problematic. Possible Confederate use and then turned into a shotgun. Great restoration project.

Action worked but the barrel is somewhat loose. Some slight damage to bottom of grips, and it has good rifling. Action works, though barrel pin is replaced.

RARE Irish Military Vickers Model 1927 Helmet

During the 1920s the newly formed Irish Defence Forces began looking for a steel helmet. Eventually it was decided to choose the German helmet used in WWI. Since the Versailles Treaty forbid Germany from producing them, the Irish Free State placed an order for 5,000 helmets wih Vickers & Co. Ltd, London. The helmet produced was similar to the German one, and this distinctive helmet remained in use until it was replaced by the British Mark II model in 1940. In spite of its British manufacture, its ‘German’ style rendered it the butt of much anti-Irish British propaganda. Many of the withdrawn helmets were subsequently issued to various emergency services and painted white. This example is typical except it still has the liner and is in relatively good condition. It is one of the hardest to find, and most interesting helmets to collect.

Besides leading the Lybian mission, Bob Kloster was XO of the Enterprise and first Captain of the USS Carl Vinson. He is best known for the later murder/suicide documented in several TV documentaries. The photos measure 8"x 10", 12"x 15" and 8"x 10".

The sinking of the British passenger ship RMS Lusitania on 7 May 1915, was one of the most important single events of World War I, signaling the start of unrestricted submarine warfare and turning U.S. public opinion against Germany. Mocking the British, German medalist Karl Goetz produced a table medal commemorating the event. The obverse depicted the Lusitania sinking stern first, which was incorrect, along with its deck crammed with munitions, under the legend “Keine Bann Ware!” meaning “No contraband.” Below is the date of 5 May 1915, an error Goetz blamed on a newspaper report. The reverse of the medal depicts passengers enthusiastically purchasing tickets from a figure of Death manning the Cunard Line ticket office, ignoring warnings from the newspapers and a German in the background. This scene is topped with the sarcastic legend “Geschaft uber alles,” meaning “Business above all.” The British immediately reproduced the 2" medal, charging the Germans with celebrating the killing of 1,198 non-combatants, including women and children.
