Philippines One Peso Treasury Certificate Mabini Series 66 VICTORY NOTE AU++

Lot #26 (Sale Order 27 of 217)

This lot is for a 'Victory' note. A One Peso Philippines series no. 66. This series was printed in 1944, to be used upon the return of MacArthur. When he came ashore in Leyte on Oct. 20th, 1944, he was purportedly carrying some of these in his pocket. They definitely brought many crates full of these notes with them during this landing. According to a BEP report the number 66 (for the series) was chosen because that was President Quezons age when he died just prior to the liberation of the Philippines. VICTORY notes were printed at the U.S. BUREAU of Engraving and Printing. The last Philippine currency printed by the US. This note is AU+. A PQ note. Harder to find in higher grades. This note does not have the familiar "In God We Trust" motto above the Memorial, though, as that motto was not added until 1957. Nice color contrast with no writing, ink, pinholes, tears or missing pieces. The Blue Seal is large and at right; a large blue "5" dominates the left side of the note. This is a great Silver Certificate. The Paper Money Guide lists at $40-$60. Estimated Value $50

Lot #38 (Sale Order 39 of 217)

This lot is for a beautiful NGC slabbed and graded 1991 American Silver Eagle. The American Silver Eagle is considered by many to be the most beautiful coin in production today. 1858 Three Cent 3c Silver Piece Grades VF+

Lot #94 (Sale Order 95 of 217)

A nice example of this scarce issue with some pretty toning. The 3c silver was originally introduced when the postal rates were dropped from 5 cents to 3 cents. While there were circulating pennies and half pennies, copper did not circulate much in the south as they did not think much of copper and demanded silver or gold in their coinage. So the bill reducing the postal rates also called for the introduction of a 3 cent silver piece to facilitate postal payments. Trends lists at $75-$135. Estimated Value $100

Franklin Mint Treasury of Presidential Commemorative Medals 35 pieces slabbed w/case

Lot #102 (Sale Order 103 of 217)

This lot is for a complete vintage set issued over 4 years from 1967-1970. The set includes 35 pieces with each featuring a portrait of the President while they were in office. The Presidents included are George Washington through Richard Nixon. Each piece is individually slabbed so I can not weigh them and there is no paperwork with this set. I believe they are all 1 troy ounce .925 sterling silver. This vintage set had a limited mintage and is a much rarer set. I was unable to find any complete sets online. Many have been melted. It is in the original packaging, but is not perfect. One of the slabs is open and a 2nd is cracked. It is in a large black case that measures 20" x 20" x 2" deep. 1917-s Buffalo Nickel 5c Grades FN+ 1917-s Buffalo Nickel 5c Grades FN+

1917-s Buffalo Nickel 5c Grades FN+

Lot #115 (Sale Order 116 of 217)

According to David Hall at PCGS "In circulated grades, the 1917-S is rarer than the 1917-D. For the Denver and San Francisco Mints of this era, the D Mints are rarer in circulated grades in 1914, 1916, 1918, and 1919, while the S Mints are rarer in 1913, 1915, and 1917. A rare and better date. This is a nice buffalo with a mark on the obverse. I think this is a die error, but not 100% sure. It could be damage. This rare date grades FN+. Trends lists at $80-$120. 1908-s Indian Cent 1c grades VF+

Lot #123 (Sale Order 124 of 217)

According to Jaime Hernandez from PCGS, “The 1908-S Indian cent is the third lowest mintage circulation strike Indian cent. The only two other lower mintage coins in the series are the 1877 and the 1909-S, with the latter being the lowest mintage in the entire series. In circulated grades, most 1908-S Indian cents survive in Fine to XF grades. Because of its low mintage and it being the first San Francisco Mint struck cent, it has always been a very popular coin. Difficult Date. Nice color and a Full Liberty. A good looking 1908-s Indian that grades VF+. Trends lists at $150-$225. Estimated Value $200

(3) Three $2 Red Seal United States Notes Circulated

Lot #151 (Sale Order 152 of 217)

Here are three (3) nice examples of the $2 Red Seal United States Notes. A series 1928F, series 1953, and series 1963. The note features the familiar portrait of Thomas Jefferson that was used on all of our $2 bills through 2006, and the back shows the Monticello, Jefferson's home in Charlottesville, Virginia. The only note that has the familiar "In God We Trust" motto above Monticello is the series 1963, as that motto was not added until 1957. These are circulated notes with expected wear. One is missing a corner. They have good color contrast. The Large Red Seal is on the left and is striking. These are difficult to find notes. These are nice examples of a piece of American History when Legal Tender notes still circulated. A nice grouping of 3 $2 red seals. The Paper Money guide lists at $60-$90. Estimated Value $75

This lot is for a 'Victory' note. A Two Peso Philippines series no. Estimated Value $40
