The continuing love affair with the third-generation Mercedes Roadster lasted well into the late 80?s. 1986 was the first year of the big 5.6 litre V8 and the ?560? designation for the long running W107 series 2 seat sport model. Some 237,000 cars were built over the 17-year span both in 6 cly and V8 versions with auto or manual. For 1986, there were a number of improvements besides the larger engine, beginning with 15-inch alloy wheels (earlier cars had 14?), front plastic air dam / spoiler. Black urethane door handles (replacing the earlier chrome handles) and U.S. spec cars had a trunk-mounted third brake light. The interior received some comfort features as well, more contoured front seats, heated seats, cruise control and a power right side mirror.

This popular 80?s classic still wears its original Red color over Parchment interior and is well preserved. It has cruise control and the original Becker radio.
