The Term ?Slantnose? derives its name from the all-out 70?s Porsche 935 purpose-built race cars. The Cologne, Germany tuning firm of ?Kramer? who initially built the race cars commencing in 1976, also experimented with building street version conversion Slant-Noses for customers with production 911 and 930?s. Porsche AG realized the demand for these modified cars and began offering a factory version as a special-order option for customers under the designation ?505? code which includes boxed rockers and side vents.
This racy Porsche Slant-nose 930 is finished in Alpine White with factory red leather interior, sport steering wheel, Momo shift knob, dead-man?s pedal and cd/radio. The factory options included factory power seats, sunroof, right hand mirror and white painted center Fuchs wheels. The real benefits of this car are the following performance mods: a rebuilt 3.3 litre engine using 3.6 litre cams, larger K27 Turbo charger, inner cooler and free-flowing exhaust system. Additional upgrades include a ?Ruf? style air dam with an external oil cooler, Bilstein shocks and performance torsion and sway bars.
Here is an opportunity to own a unique Porsche with a nice blend of significant performance modifications that would most certainly be competitive either on the street or under track conditions.
