This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 was restored in its factory colors and options by a concours judge and marque specialist at a professional Healey restoration shop. Prior to a full rotisserie restoration this accident and rust-free car had been in long-term storage since 1966. After 50 years of storage and starting with a straight chassis and body a restoration began in 2016 and was completed in 2017. After complete disassembly all major components were either rebuilt or replaced using the correct paint and fasteners. The chassis and all of the original body panels were stripped to bare metal and resealed using a high-quality epoxy primer/sealer and a two-stage urethane paint. The 2912cc engine was completely rebuilt and is backed by a rebuilt factory 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This BT7 features a new gas tank fuel pump and gas lines and rebuilt carburetors attached to a ceramic coated intake. All brake lines and components are new with rebuilt front disc brake calipers. A new wiring harness connectors and switched were used as well as rebuilt factory gauges. Both the generator and starter were rebuilt as well. A ceramic coated exhaust manifold is attached to a new polished stainless steel exhaust system and all shocks were rebuilt along with all suspension parts which were powder-coated. All of the chrome parts were replaced or re-plated to show quality and a new factory-correct interior was custom built and installed with leather front and rear seats. This Healey rides on five new 60-spoke chrome wheels and new tires. A nicely fitted red top and tonneau cover were also added. This BT7 comes complete with a BMHT certificate driver manual and knock-off hammer.
