Antique Baritone Horn --- Dyers Improved Model 5 --- Pearl Buttons (replaced) & Working Valves --- Austria 1890's (1890-1910) --- Uses a trombone Mouthpiece --- This Horn (As in Photos) Has been around & has lots of dings in it & at least one soldered repair from back in its life as a band instrument --- For its age, the crunches & crinkles are consistent "honest wear" --- Who know where the player took this or the stories it could tell of those places --- This horn has a beautiful patina to its battered brass --- William John Dyer was born in London England in 1841, made his way to faribault, Minnesota in 1869, taught music & then opened a music store. In 1971 he & his brother C.E. moves to St Paul. --- W. J. Dyer & Bro. was an instrument store in St. Paul 1871-appx 1941 and they had their own line of instruments (made by various makers in the US & elsewhere) --- in the 1890's it was said to be the largest music store west of Chicago.

At the end of the auction, payment funds are expected to be available to process, to include funds for the items, buyer’s premium, handling & service fee. We may charge your card at the auction end for the items & buyer’s premium with the shipping & handling charges to follow when shipped.
