No. 8 Howard Street. - Circa 1858 - Blue cloth binding, with richly detailed black over blue embossed design on cover, spine reads "Milton's Poetical Works - The World Edition" in gilded lettering. Back cover features embossed harp and sword design. "The Poetical Works of Lord Byron - With Life - Six Engravings on Steel" London: Gall & Inglis - Circa 1857 - Red cloth hardcover with richly embossed recessed cameo of flowers in an urn on the front cover, back cover features a matching pattern to the front, minus the urn. Spine cover is missing, binding is still in overall good condition.

Shipping Instructions: Shipping cost is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Your credit card will be charged twice- once for purchases and once for shipping. Shipping and handling will be charged at a separate time. Please call The Packaging Store in St. Louis 888-217-0717 for a shipping quote on your item before you bid. This is the only shipper we will use, we have a long term relationship with them, they are the best shipper in our area and we will not ship with anyone but them.
Preview Date & Times: Preview begains at 8:00am on auction day until start of auction at 10:00am
Checkout Date & Times: All items must be removed from the auction by no later than 5PM on the day of the auction.

Driving Directions: Highway 70 to exit 229 (South 5th St.) go south to right on Veterans Memoral Parkway to left into the Convention Center, stay to the right as parking for the event is on the lower level.

Condition: All damages seen at time of listing has been identified. Common nicks, scratches and wear has not been called. If an item is found to be different than listed, it will be announced and no absentee or live bids will be entered on item. Mound City Auctions will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself. Bidder agrees that everything is sold AS IS and that they may not return any item they purchase for any reason accept an intentional and material misrepresentation of the item itself made by Mound City Auctions. Bidder’s sole remedy in the event of an intentional and material misrepresentation of an item shall be to return the item, at their expense and in the same condition it was shipped to them. Mound City Auctions is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Mound City Auctions or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Mound City Auctions will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. When the auctioneer says “sold” Bidder assumes full responsibility for the merchandise. Everything MUST be paid for in full at the conclusion of the auction. Payment shall be made in cash or certified funds or by VISA or MasterCard. Checks of any kind must be accompanied by an irrevocable bank letter of credit guaranteeing payment to Mound City Auctions and approved at least 24 hours in advance of the auction. If a check accepted by Mound City Auctions is returned for any reason bidder agrees that Mound City Auctions may re-present it in person or electronically and collect the amount of the check as well as the highest service charges and fees allowed under Missouri law. If paying by certified check with a bank letter of credit Buyer shall immediately send payment by overnight priority mail to Mound City Auctions, 1081 Teson Rd, Hazelwood, MO. 63042. If Mound City Auctions does not receive payment by the Tuesday following the auction, the bidder agrees that Mound City Auctions shall add an administrative collection fee of $100.00 to their balance due. Any amount left unpaid shall accrue interest at the highest rate allowed under Missouri state law. Unless exempted by law, the purchaser shall pay any and all applicable taxes. Bidder agrees to indemnify Mound City Auctions against any claim if sales tax is not collected on Bidder’s purchases. Bidder agrees to not stop payment on any check paid to Mound City Auctions. Bidder further agrees that under no circumstances will he/she initiate a charge back on his/her credit card. Title to the merchandise transfers to Bidder only when Bidder’s payment has been honored. 8. The auction company will arrange for packing and shipping. Packing and shipping costs are the responsibility of the Bidder and may be quoted before shipping. All items and purchases will be shipped by a professional packer and may result in higher shipping costs. All items will be insured for the purchase price. Our first priority is to deliver your new purchase in excellent condition. Any merchandise not removed by bidder may be moved and stored at bidder’s expense, resold at the next auction or disposed of in any other way Mound City Auctions deems to be suitable. There shall be no refund of bidder's payment in this case. Bidder shall have no claim to merchandise not removed by the date of the auction or if shipping is not paid for within 30 days. 9. Bidder agrees that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Missouri and hereby grants sole jurisdiction and agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of a court of subject matter jurisdiction located in Missouri. Bidder agrees and grants that service of process on them may be obtained by mailing a certified letter, containing a summons, postage prepaid, to them at the address they provided to register. Should a dispute arise between Mound City Auctions and Bidder, Bidder waives any right to a trial or hearing in a court of law and agrees to settle the dispute through binding arbitration in Missouri. Bidder agrees to pay all legal fees in any dispute with Mound City Auctions. 10.Mound City Auctions may refuse a buyer’s number to anyone for any reason. Bidder agrees to provide any identification Mound City Auctions may request including but not limited to: drivers license, photocopies of credit cards, Social Security card or US Passport. Bidder agrees to comply with any stated additional terms or conditions associated with particular items. 11.Bidder agrees that delivery will be FOB Kirkwood, MO. And that as such delivery will be considered complete when Auctioneer's shipper receives item for shipment. 12.We want you to be happy with your purchases.
