Egyptian museum exhibited carnelian beaded necklace with 8 gold wedjat eye amulets & 6 plain faience wedjat eye amulets (1/4" avg) with central 'paper thin' gilt black faience wedjat (1/2"). Very striking piece! SIZE: 13 5/8" long (34 cm) DATE: 1069 - 702 BCE CONDITION: Excellent, no repairs, chips or cracks (1 gold wedjat tiny split). EXHIBITED: Metropolitan Museum NY 1920-38, Boston Fine Art 1945-60#211.45 , Museum of Man, CA 1968 PROVENANCE: Goddard & Josephine Dubois U.S. Collection, acq. Egypt 1900-07. All copied museum paperwork furnished to winning bidder (incl copy Boston museum photo).
