Overview of Mauser Military “1940” Date 42 Code 9mm Luger Kriegsmarine (Navy) w/Holster

Item Details

This Navy Luger has the E/655 acceptance stamps and late Army test proof. Only about 2000 of these Kriegsmarine Lugers were marked with the “N” or “O” property markings and this is one of those Lugers. This Luger is an early serial number with the correct property number on the back strap of “N/4808”. The pistol shows 96% original condition with the only wear occurring to the high edge areas, rails and grip straps. The internal parts correspond in condition to the outside of the pistol. Has a 4” barrel and near perfect bore. Right wooden grip has a split approx. ½” long at top near trigger. The pistol comes with a matching magazine and is marked on the end “N 4808”, 2xxf serial number as well as the “x” and “+” markings. The pistol is also serial number 2xxf. The holster is deep brown/black in near perfect condition with the “LEDERWARENWERK, CURT VOGEL, COTTBUS, 1939” markings as well as Eagle/WaA100 and the Eagle/M stampings. Great low serial number pistol!!
