Winchester Model 1892 Carbine - Model 92 - .32 WCF
This is an example of a late production Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine. The Model 1892 was an updated successor to the Model 1873 using a scaled down version of the Model 1886 action and was chambered for the smaller cartridges. Manufactured in 1926 and features a blade front sight with an adjustable flip up field sight. It has the standard staple and saddle ring on left side of receiver. The left side of the barrel is marked "MODEL 92 - WINCHESTER/ TRADE MARK - 32 W.C.F." while the right side is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN." Fitted with a smooth walnut straight grip stock and forearm with a carbine buttplate. CONDITION: The rifle retains 80% original blue finish on barrel and magazine. Reciever retains 50% blue finish with the remainder a nice worn patina with some brown. Norman finish wear around saddle ring. The buttplate has a mottled gray patina with some pitting.
