Item Description: Translate description
Leather shaft. Ornate silverplated handle with high relief figure. Ivory or bone inserts with plaque inscribed J. H. Holliday DDS. Mounted with a Dodge House, Dodge City Kanasas unclaimed property tag for John Holliday, Room 24. Date listed " 2nd October, 1878. After checkout found in coatroom". Back of tag reads "5th January, 1879 sold to Michael Sutton of Dodge City, Kansas for the sum of $4.00". Notarized TLS of Sutton's grandson dated July 22, 1955 in which he states he is selling it for health reasons. The bill of sale for the transaction of $450.00 is also part of the mounting. Ferrule missing. Display mount as is. Items need reframing. 35 1/2" L (cane).
