The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority reserves the right to withdraw property from auction prior to removal from seller’s premises. The successful bidder (buyer) is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation, rigging, loading and shipping. Seller does not collect taxes, but buyer is responsible for any applicable local, state or federal taxes. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property during or as a result of, the transportation of assets. There will be a 3% convenience charge for payments made with a credit card. Shipping in most cases will be a second charge as well. Buyer is responsible for shipping and logistics for larger items. For invoices above $2,001, a wire transfer will be required for payment. There will be a $25 wire transfer fee on all transactions may via wire transfer. Bank checks are also acceptable. Winning buyers will contacted via email with wire transfer instructions as well as buyers that elect to pay with a bank check. Payment is required within 5 days at the conclusion of the event. There will be a $10.00 handling fee applied to each sold item. If the buyer purchases multiple lots(items) within an auction event, a $10.00 handling fee will be applied for each shipment and not each item. Shipping is provided by Fed-Ex for these items for an additional flat rate fee of $15.00 per shipment. This fee is applies to shipments within the continental United States of America only.
