The French officer's coatee, the main body of blue wool with stand-up collar, sleeve facings, plastron and lining in red wool. Third infantry brass buttons. Costume shop stamp inside dated 1887. Fitted for epaulettes but none present. Back lining in white cotton. Showing wear, losses to buttons [faux pockets] and minor moth damage. Condition (Good).

The British infantry officer's coatee of scarlet wool with sleeve facings, lapels and stand-up collar of black wool. Silver-finished bullion trim. Three feather buttons. Of black wool with stand-up collar and sleeves with bullion lace and padded tape insignia. Silver bullion lace on back with pillows for belt and gear. Shoulders with two-strand bullion wire with embroidered small crowns. Jacket edge with bullion wire and five bullion toggles grace the front. Quilted tan satin lining with left breast pocket. Showing wear and light patina to bullion. Also minor moth damage when examined. Condition (Very Good).

The French officer's coatee of blue wool with stand-up collar. Red wool sleeve facings, tail lining and piping. Buff plastron and combination waistcoat. Twelve small brass buttons on front with legend: Republique Francaise, and fasces, six on sleeves. Waistcoat with five plain brass buttons. White cotton lining with costumer stamps. Fitted for epaulettes but none present. Showing wear, repairs and scattered light moth damage. Tunic appears to have had flaming grenades on tails at one time, now removed. An early example. Condition (Very Good).
