This is a C1954 Madame Alexander Alexander-kins 7 1/2 inch strung hard plastic Doll “Shopping With Auntie” #388. She is a clean straight-leg walker doll with the head-turning mechanism working smoothly (thehip joints are somewhat wiggly). This little cutie has a blonde triple stitched wig in the original set, with blue molded lash sleep eyes that flutter nicely. The arm stringing is adequate but the arms do not hold a posewhen the doll is not wearing the jacket (the jacket helps the arms keep a pose). This adorable doll is wearing a yellow sleeveless dress with rickrack trim andpleated skirt (the skirt is tagged Alexander-kins in the back). The chartreuse jacket and hat are felt with braid trim and tiny pearl buttons. The hat retains the original white feather and chin elastic (onepale tan spot to the hat crown and also one to the jacket sleeve from age — and hardly seen).
