And, yes, I do charge a fee to get your items to the shipper. I live in a super-small town, and the nearest shipping company is 20 miles away. I have an after school helper who pulls your items off the shelf, bags them, and puts them in my truck. I then drive your items to the next town to have them shipped for you. I do have to pay for gas, and I do have to pay my after-school helper. Thus the small handling fee. Please know this in advance, and if you’re going to gripe about it on your rating form, PLEASE DON’T BID. We are in the northwestern part of SC and Georgia, on the state line. As you can see from this map, we are the area in bright red, or extreme drought conditions. Our grass is dry and brittle, and so far this year we've only gotten one cut of hay off our fields when we would have had at least 3 by now. The supply in our area is very limited, and the demand is high, which means prices for hay are through the roof. This auction's proceeds will go directly to our winter hay fund for our horses and donkeys, as we will have to pay significantly more for it this year.
